Yes, but what miner he use under guiminer?
GUIminer only uses poclbm last i heard.

It can use others as well.  It's been a while, but I know it supports phoenix too.

Hi again guys,

OK, just fired up a 5970 and am pointing it your way for starters - if all goes well I'll move some more over......glad to be aboard.

Edit: I seem to be struggling with a fairly high DOA rate - currently @23%!  I had similar trouble on p2pool, so it looks like my setup is a bit crook. My internet connection is pants, 0.5/1mb up/down, do you guys think this is an issue? I'm running GUIMiner with flags -v -w128 - tried a few different variations but it seems to make little difference.....anyone got any suggestions? Huh
For mining in p2pool you need change defaults in cgminer:
in config:
Code:
"queue" : "0",
"gpu-threads" : "1",
or in command line:
Code:
-g 1 -Q 0
Rav3n: he's running GUIMiner, not cgminer/BFGminer.

I apologize guys!

I effed up! My internet dropped to the dedi and i thought the dedi died. Nope. Just COMCAST being their usual shitty selves. Sorry about the short lapse of service. Waiting on Bitcoind and the other daemons to restart up.

EDIT:
Waiting on I0Coin to restart up still.... all other coins are active.

That internet connection is definitely not so great. Even an 8mbit/3mbit down/up connection would work wonders for you. Unfortunately, there's nothing i can do server side as the server has a 1Gbps internet link.

Yeah, the joys of living out in the middle of nowhere......This is the fastest connection I could get after trying out of 3 different ISP's! Also have to use google dns servers as my ISP's are terrible, nothing but problems with them. No fibre optics out here.......

You might want to see if forrestv would be willing to implement the stratum protocol into the p2pool software. If he is up for that, I'd be happy to implement it into p2pmining.com as a test.

Did that user get at least 50% ? Or.. is there more than the 5-6 ghash/s ?
P2pool currently has ~330 GH/s. P2P Mining has about 4 GH/s of that 330 GH/s.

All cryptos are FIAT digital currency. Do not use.
Hi again..

Is it just me or are the payouts low ? Plz tell me if I'm reading this right.

From what I see, the pool recently found 2 blocks/ 100 btc. So how is it that someone with 50%+ of the hash rate made less than 1 btc combined ?
All of P2P Mining's Bitcoins are mined through p2pool; the payout is just a small part of p2pool's payout amount.

I got my current settings from the main page and they are working great. My accepted rate is 485! and climbing. I've never seen it go past 440. lol

btc is the only thing I'm mining, btw. Smiley

update

Now using the pool.p2pmining.com/ port 80. Smiley Rejects are down.

Here is my setup...  both 'pool.p2pmining.com' and 'pool.p2pmining.com:9332', failed..

This works heh..

Change the port number in GUIminer to 80 with the url being pool.p2pmining.com and try again. That might be a miner issue tbch. I recommend BFG/CGminer for AMD/GCN/FPGA mining but that's me.

Mind if me and my HD 7870 join in ? :p

I get connection problems when I add the 'pool' to the host addy. Plain p2pmining.com works fine.

Good luck all.

pEACe

What type of connection problems are you having? My 5870 runs off of pool.p2pmining.com. Are you adding a port number at the end such as pool.p2pmining.com:9332? If so, there's your issue. Pool and ltc.p2pmining.com run on port 80 (aka no :x in the url).

Hey guys!

Just thought I'd bring up a very important thing to remember. Pool.p2pmining.com and ltc.p2pmining.com are set to the same server and are filtered to the backend server via a HAproxy setup. Since i had left those entries in the old ns1, that would allow connections (provided i don't forget to change that should this happen again) to the proper pool with minimal downtime for you in regards to dns issues. So i recommend you use pool.p2pmining.com and ltc.p2pmining.com depending on which type of mining you are doing.

Thanks!
