Have you decided what payout system you're switching to

I like proportional but that's just me

I like the cheat-proof scoring we're using now.

Also, you aren't actively mining at this pool, so why would it matter to you? Do you think proportional scoring is so much better that you'd mine here if this pool used that payout scheme? Just curious...

Well, I know it would attract more pool hoppers, which is more hashing power, but they will devalue the payout when it is in their interest.
Right, that's pretty much what I was implying. Proportional is good for pool hoppers. Cheat-proof is good for everybody else. If you're mining 24/7 you need to either be a hopper or be in a non-proportional pool (since you'll lose money due to the hoppers over the long run in a proportional pool).

Do you really think being a proportional pool would add a lot of hashing power SC (at least at the beginning of rounds)? Maybe I'm underestimating the number of hoppers...

I am actually unable to cashout from the site....

edit: i'm receiving:  "Fatal error: Uncaught BitcoinClientException: [ 0]: Didn't receive 200 OK from remote server. (HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error) thrown in on line 0" when i attempt payout.

edit edit: Also seem like auto payout is broken as it didn't attempt to.

Hmm, that's the error the new bitcoin client was giving the cronjob..... If I have to pay you out manually I will. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Currently it's a cheat-proof version of proportional, but I'd be happy to switch to pure proportional if everyone wanted.
I for one, like "cheat-proof"! Though, I don't know how it would change being pure prop!

Additional comment:
After the payout, I had 3.35 estimated/1.78 current. I cashed out, then I refreshed, and the est. dropped to .85!?!
Was there some reworking to be done? or am I missing something?

That's just the revolving stats, I'm working on a better way to make them all sync. Also, the estimate is the new round, since you were generating after the last round.

No, not confirmed yet, once we hit block 126803 it will be confirmed

We should be confirmed by now. Block 136583 +120 confirms = Block 136703
The current block is 136738.

Oh yah that's right.

Yes, it is confirmed now... I'm working on fixing payout (not sure why it didn't move to balance).

UPDATE: Seems like an issue with the new bitcoin client. Trying to fix it without bringing down the pool.

UPDATE #2. pulled the client offline, looks like there was an error in payout. Working on it now....

UPDATE #3: Pool is back online, payout is disabled until I straighten out the data.

UPDATE #4: Everything is cleared up! enjoy your btc!

UPDATE #5: 2nd round Bonus BTC sent to sirky!

Im very familiar with this frontend code since i've forked it and made a new frontend based off this original code base.   There are still issues with stats and some database queries which i just found and fixed today in my fork of this software and im guessing that Simplecoin has also run into them and is working hard on solving them for you guys.

In other words,  hang in there.... im sure Mike will get it sorted soon! Smiley

No, though it is already confirmed, so something must be messed up with the code still.

That's good news, the site stats being incorrect might have something to do with it linking to the wrong block, but that's just a wild guess.

Let's get us another one!
