McVenture - can we get a little insight here.  lots of FUD, for obvious reasons - can we get a roadmap or something or everyone is going to dump again.  i am trying to care about rise but you guys are not great with the communication thing.  maybe update twitter ?  let investors know what is going on please. thanks

Hi Seektree, all the info available to me has already been released through the post of Scifi.rem (Rise co-founder) earlier this week, see below. Since then there hasn't been anything new to announce yet. The team is busy finding a new developer to replace Justin/Richard/Nathan (Don't Panic Consulting). This has the highest priority. Only after we have a new developer/dev team saddled up a new roadmap can be devised. As soon as more info comes available it will be posted here. Thanks.

Development Update:

We have a fairly big announcement. We are in the process of restoring investor confidence and part of that process is to reward our current Rise token holders, as well as getting delegates forging as soon as possible. Even though we are currently on this path, it’s only fair to mention that we had hit a bumpy road.

Previously, we have been pulling teeth, trying to get updates from our development team. It had gotten to a point where we were instructed to formulate emails as the “method” to reach them. Days had turned into weeks and even after many promises of daily updates, we still didn’t see progress. Many of you guys had stressed your concern as well.

We were then told by Justin that his development team needed more funds to continue the project. After close examination, and to prevent our funds from becoming more depleted with little to show for it, we discontinued funds to Don’t Panic (Justin’s business). As a result, Don’t Panic including our co-founder Justin walked away from the project.

However, we have acted quickly and are working with another developer right now. We will let everyone know who this is in an upcoming announcement. All Rise 2.0 work so far has been transferred to our new developer. Before we move further on that, we have decided that we will push out Rise Classic by cloning Lisk to get delegates forging and earning rewards ASAP.

We had relied on Justin’s promises that Rise 2.0 code base was going to be “easy enough” for him and we counted on his insight, such as promising a working prototype by December. It was moved to January, and then to February. And nothing came to fruition. “More funds” was never part of our original agreement with him.

So we have decided to move quickly and get Lisk cloned and delegates forging (Rise Classic) while Rise 2.0 is looked at by our hired new developers. We don’t want to waste any more time on this. In addition, we will be rewarding our token holders by providing them with Chipz which is explained below.

We are in negotiations with an online casino software supplier with the aim to launch a fully operational online gaming platform that will operate using Chipz tokens as the currency. Rise holders will receive Chipz tokens based on their holdings. The value of Chipz will be determined by the free market as soon as it hits an exchange. In order to use the casino players will be required to purchase Chipz tokens... Chipz will be available for purchase direct from the casino converted at the current market price or from an exchange. As soon as fiat gateways are available on the Waves network the casino will begin accepting fiat tokens that can be used to instantly purchase chipz for use in the casino.

More details to be revealed as we advance the Chipz project.

McVenture and myself will check in regularly this week here at the forums to make sure we answer any questions you guys have. Thanks. And let’s get this project rockin’. Good things to come!

Rem

Sorry guys I don't feel sorry for you, I sold my rise when I saw the 3 jokers in the kitchen table with MAC computers, if you saw this pics and you did not sell your rise its just only you to blame as Rise team was laughing in your own face!!

On the other hand, I know Justin you are hearing! SHAME ON YOU! you deserve to be in jail  but for life for wasting people time and stealing their money...I sold mine at a lost when I saw your pic in the kitchen!

You are a disgrace to society, you run away with the ICO money. No  they can not refund the money as he spent it all, can you see the big kitchen he has is massive....how do you think he paid for that big house? the ICO money....and his big car....did you see his car? well he is having a good life with the ICO money...but Justin we know who you are...and you walk away from this project promising many things, you will never ever be near any crypto project because you are a disgrace! You are a scammer and we know  your face! The face of a deceiver! Please people do not invest a penny on this or anything McVenture wants,,, he has been with Justin for month and he did not tell us the kind of person he was and what he was doing with the money,,,,,please McVenture stop this now if you have any dignity left. You all have been scammed and if you continue on this you are stupid as hell!

Guys, please stop with the scam accusations. We are moving forward with Rise. I also don't see anything wrong with finding ways to reward our Rise holders with new and innovative ways such as Chipz. We have all the work that Justin and team did. In the meantime, we ARE going to get Lisk cloned up and delegates going.

We are working on a new roadmap as we speak and we hope to have that this week. I understand people are on edge etc, but tossing out scam accusations isn't going to help things go smoother. In fact, we could use more support from the community, therefore it's going to be my job, with the help of McVenture, to restore confidence in you guys.

As for Alty. Yes, he's still with us. And Shazzy.

Sounds like tons of empty promises to me.(I asked about a simple main site update months ago and all I got was MUCH the same your getting now from Mcventure)... Hell if i was serious about bringing this coin back I wouldn't have made an announcement until I had at least back up developers. If you buy this coin now you deserve what you get... PERIOD

HINT.... They don't even update the OP to state changes or at lease Remove Justin's Mug (video) from it.... Yea until something MAJOR is announced a spade has to be called a spade. smdh. I was about to put alot of cash in this!
Seems to me that it's the case for most altcoin in fact...
Empty projects without much innovation
and in the end a fist in your rectum.

That's all you get from altcoins.

What about Alty, the project manager? He also left this? Last active November 23, 2016.

Hi Blocks.explorer, Alty has not left, on the contrary, he is working to find a new developer/dev team to replace Justin.

I agree this is 100%  a fail/scam and funds should be returned!! But then there is the issue that really the ICO investors should receive the £££ and many have sold for a 50-95% loss!!!! anyway thats very unlikely to happen as scammers dont return ££$$!!
while im calling them scammers i still do believe that the original intention was not one of outright theft, even though that is what has happened!

will not count as ICO anymore, but to be fair to all the coin holder
but i agree with whatever Zebedee said, except the above part

Ive seen it happen only once (TXTcoinsnow, on the NXT AE), a few years ago. It was necassary due to legal issues with an existing bricks n mortar company. Was a nightmare for Bas Wisselink to sort out.

I rarely use the word scammer/scam to describe people. I believe it lets the incompetents off the hook.

Scammer, thief better term for these guys. Being incompetent makes these guys look honest...in no way these guys were incompetent, I believe this was well planned out and I strongly believe Alty is behind it or getting well paid for his scamming techniques.

Even Zebedee claimed this is a scam, surprise, when I was active in RISE Slack half year ago, he liked and devoted to this project 100%. I said RISE was a scam in Slack, he cursed he, lmao, he must lose much more proportion, he deserved it.

So main dev left / got dumped after sucking a lot of the funds. And still nothing to see. What a disaster! Now back to cloning LISK (since delegate forging works for them already) so why not? Lol  Grin

So you are effectively sitting there, twiddling your thumbs, with no idea what to do, putting the onus on an unknown person coming in to tell you what to do, hoping that some bits of code might be useful, so you can continue living off money you received for an abandoned project.
Crazy to think any good whatsoever will rise from this, so far down the scraping barrel.
With as much respect as i can muster, for someone who tried but failed like you/Rise......consider giving back the funds that you have failed to use anywhere near effectively (and will continue to), and concentrate on an employed position somewhere that doesn't involve you taking any meaningful decisions. Abject fail.

They know exactly what their doing..scamming. Not sure if it's true or not but apparently they scum bags sold all the ICO BTC into fiat...no one is getting anything back I am a 100% sure of it. Why do you think they decided scratch out the rise scam for a new P&D shitcoin (Chipz)?

For people defending this project, ask yourself this...Isn't Alty (Cormac fucking) the project manager...if they weren't scammers the last 8 months would of not been for nothing...John would of got kicked out a week after the ICO.

Pretty sure nothing will happen and these guys will be laughing all the way to the bank with a million bucks...wouldn't be surprised if someone tracks one of these thieves down IRL and gives them a taste of their own medicine.

Announcement

I'm sorry about saying that but until further notice i'll be stoping Rise Desktop Wallet Development.

Sounds a very bad news to me, who will continue with the development?

to me it looks like they could just ignore us all and simply move on with their lives separately. you won't be going to their area and sue them would you? but yes here they are.  it appears they are better than those who did a successful ICO but not distributing the tokens such as ARK, Decent and tokes.  and possibly chronobank's time token.

Token distribution is the easiest part everybody can do that. Developing something is the hard part and rise could not achieve that..

true. but the reason why those team hasn't distribute too is because they haven't develop anything too even just the blockchain. which would you prefer, a token not given to you or a token already distributed and and a team trying to come up with what they have. either way you still have to wait. the difference is that you can dump your rise while you can't dump those arks, decent and tokes because you don't have them at all.

You are right too Smiley İ have enough of these scam icos damn.. But DECENT isnt one of them in my opinion they have a legit team and it looks like they will do great things. We just need to wait.
