McVenture- can we get a roadmap? timeline?  also, website this weekend or next week?  we need some answers please. thank you and continue working hard! thanks.

Hi @seektree, I haven't received any new info on a timeline or roadmap yet. The new website is being prepared as is mentioned before but is waiting on important content and details that need to become available first for inclusion.

Can Blockjack be copied on this blockchain? Must be nice, playing with a lower fee.

Yes, technically any kind of gambling app could be built on the Rise blockchain, including Blackjack as you suggested.

The very difficult part is how to program a truly random number generator without having any deterministic element in the outcomes so that the games are truly fair. Gambling apps often use PRNGs (Pseudo Random Number Generators). As the name implies they are 'Pseudo', meaning they are not truly random and the results could potentially be simulated, predicted and then exploited. PRNGs take an initial number, known as a seed, and then mash it together with various hidden and shifting inputs—the time from a machine’s internal clock, for example—in order to produce a result that appears impossible to forecast. But if hackers can identify the various ingredients in that mathematical stew, they can potentially predict a PRNG’s output.

A true random number generator must be rooted in a phenomenon that is not man-made, such as radioactive decay.

Building a true random number generator can to my knowledge not be built without leaving the decentralized environment. You need to utilize a centralized source, such as for instance a service like https://www.random.org provides.

Rise Slack channel does not work.

Where did the Slack go?

Hi @cold_nebula and @RoftheN, I'm logged into Slack and it is working. Can you describe the issue you're experiencing in more detail?

If you are referring to the Slack Signup Page, it is being worked on and should be back online soon.

Meanwhile if you need an invite please send me a direct message and I'll send you one. Thanks!

But what did they bring? I remember my damaged bitcoin investment, miserable memory, it is a standard scam, they published identities, so they pretend to be innocent, you are naive.

by publishing identities, they can be found, and can be reported to interpol/embassy, IF they are really doing the crime as you accuse

saving money by working in a kitchen...yet they pay themselves oh I mean Do panic consulting what was it last time? 130k?

I know you're frustration and sorry if you lost alot in this shit show, it happened to all of us.

Trust me people defend coins like this all the time and it they always turn out to be scams, don't be one of those guys. Their spending shitloads of cash from the ICO with absolutely nothing to show for.

What bothered me even more is that Shell company "Do not panic" consulting own by them and laundering shitloads of cash from the ICO into it.

I'll come back to this thread in 6 months, guaranteed they'll have laundered more then 50% of the cash and nothing developed but feeding the mass more bullshit.

laundry the funding to dont panic? hmm i think the worry not yet proven and we should support them to deliver,
in the past expenses might because the initial setup usually costly, first time usually heavy

i dont know what method the dev use, but there is 3types of incentive can be done,
which is per/project or per/salary basis, or middle in both small salary/with bigger incentive

if you see other coins foundations, they all are starting to do the same as done by Dont Panic consulting
(NXT ARDOR IGNIS appoint JELURIDA its own core dev; LISK also outsource to Philliphine Community, bitcoin also have, but i forgot)

because as a non-profit its difficult to just outsouce to and external IT to do the job they envisioned,
to appoint the founder/initiator to be Responsible to his own project which we already funding in, is a good alternative too,
IF the plan is honest (Jelurida of NXT also selling blockchain service, to decrease/cut cost of the coin development, i believe Dont Panic Consulting are doing the same)
because now they must know what they are doing to grow and expand the project, in their visions

Any update to when we can see some product?
Like a timeline? Sometime this year I hope

I would like to know as well when will be the next update for this coin. I tried accessing their website but it is still down as of the moment. Do they have timeline that they need to address?

For latest info on Rise:

- Official Rise forum: http://forum.rise.vision
- Rise Slack channel: http://slack.rise.vision
- Upcoming new website with Rise 2.0 content (in progress, current website https://rise.vision/)

Dapp Deposits / Withdrawals

Explaining the flow of crypto-currency within decentralized applications:

Developers can use either Rise or BTC in their dapps. Users of a dapp may deposit
or withdraw funds from any given dapp. When Rise or BTC are sent to a dapp address,
the funds appear in the dapp account. The funds will then become available for use
within the dapp. This works the same way for BTC deposits as it does with Rise.
BTC is sent to a special dapp address and then appears in the dapp Bitcoin wallet.

Dapp accounts are a special type of account created by the network automatically
for a dapp. All deposited Rise or BTC will be stored in the associated addresses.
For security reasons, only the use of multi-signature dapp accounts with trusted
signers is allowed.

Withdrawals from dapps are processed by master nodes. When a withdrawal request
is sent, the dapp master node processes it and moves the funds to the specified
withdrawal address in the Rise or Bitcoin blockchain.

i love kitchen office, its not wasting funding, you guys ask to much

there is never end to fudder,
when dev team is doing cost savings using kitchen, fudder complaining about back-pain about the working chair, now they had to rent costly office
when dev team using low cost green car, you laught at them, so they had to use costly car

i think MOST OF FUDDER ARE LOOSER, staying at home all day and staring at the screen making bad comment
none of you ever doing successful business, never know that we need to use funds wisely on anything necessity

i start my business from home/my room too, we dont need fancy office, dont need lots of professional worker/dev that so expensive if all the END RESULT is the same
we are not multi-billion dollar industry, none of us here is ever in the multi-billion something
if we are, then 90% we might not spent our time grunting in forum, need to admit only boring looser doing that..

complaining about how and what they drink, what PC they use
COME ON GUYS, you guys a child do you? no need high tech PC to do coding, this is not 3D rendering.. , and you're not their mother
