Just 20 minutes left before the Q&A starts, right?

I don't see anything at YouTube yet...

Yes, it starts in about 12 minutes from now...   just keep the page with that link open and the Live stream should appear when it starts.

Maybe next time it would also be good to announce the video broadcast in advance in the title of this thread. It would attract more people.

Great tip! We'll keep that in mind for next time.

Can we still submit questions?

Hi @glorytime, the time for pre-submitted questions has elapsed but the Q&A will be one hour long so if the developers still have time left after answering the submitted questions you can ask them a new question directly during the Live YouTube Video Stream. It starts in 3 hours!

Of course you can also always contact the team on our Rise Slack Channel if your question doesn't make it through at today's event.

It all looks like a developers desk should look like. But I am sure that there will be fudders who do not agree Wink. Let's get that new codebase going!

If this is a live Q&A why does the questions need to be submitted before the event? Cant it be ask during the event? Or is the "devs" not capable of answering live questions?

Has macventure taken over from risegal now?

Hi @fob123, we asked for questions before the event to make sure there is enough interest for doing the live video Q&A. The event flyer we posted states that we give priority to submitted questions but we'll take live questions as well if time permits.

As @san2ok already correctly mentioned, I've not taken over from Risegal, I've been with the team from nearly the beginning.

they could do webinar too (drouma done it before, at the first page) but it is for a casual talks, and the time duration may limited (they need to work on the Rise work too)
but for now.. by submitting questions before live and upload it on youtube, you can ask as many as you want
they want to add more documentation to RISE while answer all..

nothing wrong with this, besides if only 1 or 2 small questions, you can always ask Direct-LIVE 24hour on slackchat, all Rise team(drouma,mcventure,alty,2dev) is always available on slack
CLICK on links to join RISE slack chat ---> https://www.mystellar.org/thread-780-post-2056.html#pid2056, and discuss anything

McVenture is always here, check from page1-to-last
RiseGal i dont know, but personally i think if she is paid for a bitcointalk customer service job, then its best if she is step down for a while, last thing Rise need is more expenses, need to save money for future marketing, etc, long battle awaits..

I dont need any Q&A Events. We need real progress and not more blablabla and promises.  Embarrassed
I dunno man. To some people the Dev team can never do good...
i think we should ignore them, they dont like then just leave..

dev are staying, and still working

Indeed. A significant part of the RISE community asked for more communication from the team, so our response has been increased communication and transparency, things like expense reporting, release of a new introduction video with our developers, more forum activity as well as organizing live streaming Q&A events as yet another way to connect and interact directly. We do understand that not everyone is waiting for a Q&A and that's fine, it's only for those who have an interest in hearing in-depth details about the RISE platform directly from the development team.

Our team's main focus is working to achieve real progress and results. This takes time especially because as some of you know we've recently made the decision to depart from being based on Lisk code and to create our own unique code base. The reason for this course change was explained by our lead Developer in this blog article: http://forum.rise.vision/topic/67/dev-team-go-forward-plan

Before we made this switch we developed brand new code to augment the original Lisk code base with a collection of RISE Software Development Kits (SDKs) for Python, C#, JAVA, Ruby and Node.JS, which enable any developer to create Dapps with any of those popular code languages. For those interested to download those see Github at https://github.com/RiseVision Our current RISE desktop wallet developed by an active community developer and audited by us is an example of software that made use of one of these SDKs. The new code base (internally named RISE 2.0 for now) is designed to be fully compatible with these SDKs but will in addition contain improvements compared to the old code base. Some of these improvements have already been revealed and some are still held under wraps for now until the new architecture for this has been completely fleshed out. The architecture is being designed from the ground up and as such it's not something that can be rushed. It won't be a matter of weeks but more likely months before a beta prototype can be released to the public. We will however invite a select few (a maximum of 15) to test the alpha prototype before the public beta release. More on this later. We will keep you informed every single step of the way.
