Alpha Testing For New Rise Codebase

We hope to have a date (within the next couple of weeks) for when our prototype will be ready for a closed round of testing in the alpha phase.

Before open public testing we'd like to get opinions from a maximum of 15 testers, which can be anybody from the Rise community to iron out any major bugs before passing on to an open beta.

Details will be released shortly on how to apply for the initial round of testing.

There will be a bug bounty offered for those that help us to find and identify improvements to the new Rise code throughout testing phases.

What are the requirements to help alpha test the new codebase besides

- some spare vps
- know how to run a rise/lisk/dlisk node
- same / enough spare time

Regards

I believe you pretty much summed it up. In addition you may receive instructions from our devs to test specific things or to provide certain data.

Can we sign you up to be the first tester? Smiley

i reported few bugs in rise at initial release but no bug bounty given.. im not going do this again .. already leared big lesson wasting my time

Hi @visud, thanks for any input that you gave during initial release, however there wasn't a bounty program for testing on offer at the time.

if for once the dev team can come up with a good feature for this coin, the price may rise. RISE is a clone and it could be changed if they can build something very different in the end.

A coin with no update and no deliveries from the road map is no more that an stagnant coin, but sometimes a dev may work silently and focus on its work before it gives an update.
Hi @chichidori, welcome to the community.

Just for the record, Rise Software Development Kits for Java, C#, Python, Ruby and NodeJS were developed and delivered as laid out on the initial roadmap. The reason why the devs haven't been able to move forward yet with the smart contract tools and user-friendly DAPP builder (which is the fun part) on the roadmap has been explained. See following link for details:  http://forum.rise.vision/topic/67/dev-team-go-forward-plan

3 weeks later link doesn't even work.  Roll Eyes

The link you mentioned works for me.

It's very unfortunate that mainly price of this coin determines the public view. Devs have been doing their best lately communicating everything that is going on. Ask them questions, but not about price.

So the price is what 5x less than the ICO price. Why does a price of a coin drop so much? No devs, dead coin, devs doing no work, no progress, scam...etc

If devs here are posting daily and accomplishing absolutely nothing but feeding the public lies what does that help with? Price is determined on how well the project is going which basically has started for a quite some time and nothing to show for. After all that time they decide to build a brand new codebase, so pretty much all these months went down the drain and 140k wasted. That really is going to give holders hope lol.

Really if they were honest they'd sack this entire project, use the remaining ICO funds to buy back rise from investors at a reasonable price to make back some losses. I doubt that it'll happen, their going to stall till all funds are exhausted and then jump ship. Time will tell, book mark this post and let me know what happens.

Ok now stop criticizing this coin and dev try to bring it at good price with development in order to obtain credibility

How can you people blast RISE for slow development?! Come on, give 'em a break!!

SDK README (as of today)

oh.

@blackhawk101, you're listing the readme of the C# SDK only, which was written by @devking (alias: Rajbandi, as clearly listed in Github) who developed it with us in his own free time and who encouraged other developers to contribute as well. If you read the readme files of all the other SDKs you don't see that part you highlighted because the Rise team worked exclusively on those. And not in their free time I might add.
