FYI - If you guys want to sell so bad, I just placed a 2.16m CSC buy order on the books at 120. Feel free to give me your coins. I'll give them a safe home for the next few years. Wink

Why do you think Scrypt ASICS will increase scrypt coins price, and CSC particularly? There are tons of scrypt coins out there. This is just mining technology, it adds nothing to coin value\adoption\usefulness.

asics will legitimize alot of scrypt coins by increasing the hashrate across the board for these coins which collectively have been a path to getting bitcoin for most miners. there is a lot of money that won't come into scrypt coins until hashrates increase substantially.

As for price increasing due to asics, it's the same as when asics came out for bitcoin. For example, if you multiply the hashrate by 100x or 1000x, difficulty will shoot up, and we'll still be generating the same number of new coins per day. those coins that will be generated will likely be concentrated into the hands of a small minority of miners who purchased asics and less into the hands of smaller operators that we find now. a lot of selling pressure is relieved through this action.

For me, this is an opportunity. I'm willing to take this from the weak hands and hold this coin for years. The upside potential is just too good to ignore in my opinion. People are always unhappy when someone runs the price down, but personally it doesn't bother me. I have enough cash on me to purchase all coins in existence at these prices and not even notice. So please go ahead and sell.

Looks like someone cashed out. They just dumped 250,000 CSC on Crypsty.

It's a very thin book. Personally, I don't mind these prices. I'll continue to accumulate. hehe

I'm really interested in increasing my stake in this coin ahead of a real proliferation of scrypt asics in 2015.

I've been in Thailand and Cambodia last nine days. However, I'm back as of last night. I've started talking to Gemalto about adding 2FA. They have some interesting thin token tech that I want to see if it can be integrated.

Take a look:

Whoow, those are really cool. Probably cost a lot as well  Undecided Have you also asked them about possibility and price for getting a SDK of some kind?

I met them at a conference. Trying to work out the details.

I think BitcoinNational makes some very solid points in his comments.. as a dumb ol' miner, I cant turn my whole farm on this coin, its just not profitable and I stopped mining it for a while now, I still hold a bunch of these, and see potential,... I will put 10mhs back on the coin and gather to do my part, pretty small part of my farm... I will look at it again in January..

will it help if I sold a few here and there?

no so much the price -- more the hashrate -- CSC is at the threshold "point of no return"
very few outsiders investors are willing to look at anything under a GH/s amoung asics
none at under 100 MH/s
And an other thing, ... it is not so much the hashrate but the amount of peers that make a crypto network stable. It is better to have 100 peers with 100 KHash than 2 peers with 100 MHash. If big hashing power peers enter or leave the network it will reestablish itself automatically. If there are enough geographically separated peers the network will not be influenced by the loss of a few!

but how long will the casino coin take to establish the name
Well, how long will it take for real casinos to adopt cryptocurrencies? Not sure, even though there are clear advantages in using crypto it is still a long way from being adopted. Thats why we are now focusing on software and hardware to simplify adoption. We already have a server daemon, client wallets, Java implementation and Android wallet, the free Dice Server is on its way and now we are also working towards a creditcard like system. What other cryptos are that far?

I always stated i am a developer, not a marketeer, ... i hope others step up to the plate and take care of that part. I will not take much at the moment to take a stake in CSC and help promote the coin into a bright future!

Not so much an issue as well, as soon as asic scrypt is becoming mainstream hash rate can be easily increased to needed levels. I think the main developers for casinocoin (Goldseal, casinocoin and myself) are trying to get all necessary software in place first before heavily investing in hashrate and price. For now that would only suit the crypto traders and not actual investors!
I guess CSC is true to the brand ... gambling ... but Russian Roulette can end ... in a BANG!

Well then, name me one Crypto currency aside from Bitcoin and Litecoin that has a true long term bright future? Bitcoin or Litecoin would be sufficient as a crypto currency for gambling were it not for the average high block time. Casinocoin solves that issue and has the brand name as you stated. All other cryptos will be obsolete in the future ...

kindly suggest you bump your Hashes to at least +110
or build a wall so thick at 150sats that LONG investors get the message

the price has dropped below 200sat and the hashrate is now below 100mh!
You stand daringly close to the cliff - immediate action or death - am afraid Sad
Not true! For $100 the price can be raised to 300sat, .... there simply is not a lot of CSC being sold, everybody holds on too them. For now not a problem, actually a good thing, when the price rises in the future this will change automatically. The same goes for hashrate.

There is still development going on although not always visible. Everybody always jumps on new coins that arise every day in the hope one of them will be the next Bitcoin success. Casinocoin is still one of few that actually has a business case and has the potential to fulfill an actual real life application instead of staying in the dungeons of crypto markets. This coin is far from dead !!!!
