Bit of a random idea but what do people think if i created casinocoin merchandise, t-shirts, mugs, hoodies etc... it would just be something done on zazzle so no cost or time spent, could have dozens up on zazzle by the end of the day would also be a great marketing stunt within the crypto currency world i noticed bitcoin and litecoin already have it done but dont advertise the stuff on the bitcoin or litecoin official webpage, links can then be posted on coin forums, the website, and related blogs etc...

  • Because of the block reward drop from 50 to 10 i am forced to reduce the block bonus and increase pool fees on the https://www.megamineros.com/CSC pool. The old block bonus was 0.1 coin and the fee was 1% that resulted in a pool fee of 0.1 coin per block and since the block bonus was the same the pool fee went directly to the block finder. As the pool already is costing me a lot this forces me to reduce the block bonus to 0.01 coin and increase the pool fees to 2%. That still does not cover the costs to run the pool but at least results in a few hundred coins a week. Sorry to do this but is a direct result of the block reward reduction.
  • Development on the free Casinocoin Dice Server software i started is getting along quite fine. I have my roots in Oracle database and application development and these days Oracle actually is removing license costs on some very interesting products. They released ADF Essentials which is a subset of the full ADF (Application Development Framework) JSF framework from Oracle. The dice server i am building is being based on ADF Essentials running on a Glassfish opensource application server using a MySQL database and makes use of the CasinocoinJ java implementation i released earlier. This way you can run it completely free of licenses as it does no longer need Oracle Database, Weblogic server or ADF licenses. The development environment JDeveloper is also free to use. I choose this combination as it allows me to be more productive in terms of coding and has far better security and runtime performance as compared to other Dice implementations mostly based on PHP. Anyway i will release it free of charge to anybody wanting to start a casinocoin dice server. As soon as i have a version ready for testing i will let everybody know ... i also think it will serve as a nice use-case to online casinos on how to integrate CasinocoinJ into a real web application.
  • I have generated and uploaded a new version of the OSX wallet to the 1.3.0.0 release on GitHub, can somebody test the wallet if it now does work correctly, it now should no longer use upnp.
  • I really like the new frontpage  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Hey, I'm looking into setting up a casinocoin tipbot using alttipbot:
https://github.com/vindimy/altcointip

If anyone is interested in helping out, I need to get the karma up on a reddit account for use with the tipbot. If you have a chance, please upvote the post here, so we can get this working.

The red text looks very grainy to me. Have you considered using yellow or metallics like gold/silver?
[/quote]

the red text was just a mockup in PS to roughly match whats on the site to get an idea, the text will all just be in html when written into the website

We have already the opportunity to buy CSC with Euro at https://www.litebit.eu/coin/csc/en/.

There is a now an opportunity to buy altcoins with US dollar. Bleutrade is a relative small exchange, but growing.
And it is offering to trade with US dollar. https://bleutrade.com/exchange

Maybe ask them to be addopted there?

perhaps the layout could be something closer to this, i dont really see the point of a search bar and its just all wasted space at the top currently, its also quite common for companies to switch the colours of there logo around to fit into a colour band so thought i would see what it looks like (havnt quite got that correct) what are others thoughts on this?

I agree and then you can see part of the downpart as well, when the site shows up the first time..

also the idea would to be to have a diffrent logo/saying for every picture on the roll, currently i think  "An open source, peer-to-peer digital currency specifically designed for casino gaming." is a little long and is very similar to what is found on a lot of altcoins sites (the "peer to peer" bit)

I see you have changed the image on casinocoin.org now, i still think perhaps the positioning and size can be altered a little, and i really do think a rolling banner would be better, i should have another good banner for it next week, when i do that i will size the images to what the lady playing poker was, with the banner the same size, i will then leave the rest of the banner blank so you can decide on what text to go for, also without trying to sound cheeky can i have the bounty please, thats quite a lot of coins compared to what i currently have stashed Smiley

As mark mentioned,
We really need to push for further adoption and find ways to provide casinocoins to users in a more friendly way.
Having to purchase bitcoin and then casinocoin defeats the purpose in the end so this should be one of our major concerns.

*OP Update

Yep I agree. Also we need to get the hashing power up to make this less profitable for miners at current prices. Although, I expect asics to take care of this for us next quarter.

I will say that I am quite pleased with the current price stability. I used to trade ALF <-> CSC and the ratio used to be 2:1 and CSC seems to be holding well between 5:1 these days.

The fact Bitcoin and all alts are crashing isn't helping as miners probably have to sell even more coins to cover their bills.  BTC will probably bottom at $400 and then we should hopefully be off to the races for the rest of the year with an even bigger boom than last year.

I've seen Cryptsy add more coins to the USD page where users can buy those coins with straight USD.  I wonder what it would take to add Casino?
We would need the daily volume to jump quite significantly, if you view the volume it is quite low and that is another reason why the newer exchanges have yet to integrate caisnocoin
