Caribbean Sandcoins, what a brilliant idea!!! Only a genius would have thought of this. I can see many potentials for this.

Its going to get very interesting for CSC in the next few months.

If a jurisdiction presents an obstacle to adoption, this is the kind of thing we can do to clear the way for CSC to enter. Personally, I think it's a win for CSC and for the partner that get's their branded coin tailored to their regulatory environment.

We talked briefly about doing something similar 2 years ago, but it wasn't until now that we had a partner with a use case that justified rolling out a more generically branded client.

Will there be an Affiliate program associated with Sandcoins?
Will Pryto release both CSC and Sandcoin cards?

I don't know about the cards. However, printing cards is likely pretty trivial. I believe that partner casinos can even purchase personalized or custom branded cards. So I don't see this being a problem if there is a demand for it.

We have everything in place ready, so later you will see our Casinocoinsites.com site announce March instead of February.

Thanks

Be careful when depositing in alcurex.  I assumed by deposit adress is same as week ago and lost bit of coins
Hello. I noticed your post and if you have any coin loss, let me know more specific.
I agree we have been wallets down and that for delays with transactions.
Solving your issue, please send support email or ticket so I can investigate your situation.
Please note old addresses are not valid for CSC, DOGE and EAC deposits. You must generate and use new address for those.
This is because our latest security update. Not for teasing you.

And don't worry, If you sent deposit to old address, coins are not loss, but not get deposit automatically in your account.

An additional exchange for cSC has been needed for a while.

I think we need to get CSC to top 10 cryptos with market cap for bigger exchanges (poloniex or kraken) to consider adding CSC. Hopefully this will happen with the launch of CasinoCoin affiliate program for FIAT Casinos.

hmm that seems strange. Did you ask Halibut? I would hope that he could correct that in some way.

jakiman is back!
Oh my god this Alcurex is a shit exchange, it so god damn bad. CSC really needs a new exchange, something that people would trust and use. Actully fck it, an exchange that actually works. Nothing but delayed deposits, offline wallets, slow ass order filling. Feels like that place can also go Gox any time that they get a bit of coin in their wallets.
Sorry for the rant but it really is that bad :/

I agree. I really did not like its interface. Definitely need a beter exchange.
It should be on Yobit or C-CEX at the least.

think of the sandcoin wallet as a variant of the CSC wallet, but with different artwork. At the core, this is what it is. Nothing is different.

If a particular jurisdiction doesn't allow a gambling branded wallet that's where this becomes interesting. I see it as a good experiment for the Caribbean market and if it's successful, possibly it could justify additional co-branding opportunities in the future. Europe is obviously a possibility if a partner there show a particular need and a significant opportunity to expand CSC into new usage or locations.

If CSC is going to overcome barriers in the most difficult places for crypto, it has to be flexible and adaptable.

To complete the co-branding, we should look at putting up a sandcoin themed block explorer. Rudy has been operating two solid csc block explorers. I'll message him and see if this is something he could add.

Everything was/is syncing properly. Old wallet was working fine as well. The only issue is the graphics do not appear.
Hi.
This all sounds to be more like QtQuick issue rather than anything permission-related. Good news is that i have just tried running Wallet installed via installer and it does not show Qml controls as well! (my machine is a virtual machine with win7) Bad news so far is that i dunno how to resolve the issue but stay tuned Wink
Ok seems we found the problem. Older machines or OS could cause the issue. We now use Qt Quick for all those nice GUI features but that causes the wallet to only work properly on OpenGL versions of 2.0 and above. See if you can upgrade your graphics driver as that solved the issue for others. You can use OpenGL Viewer to check your version http://download.cnet.com/OpenGL-Extensions-Viewer/3000-18487_4-34442.html

Did this issue ever get resolved? I just tried using CasinoCoin 2.0.1.0 (finally) in a brand new Windows 10 VM and it is missing the graphics. Sad

Have you checked your OpenGL version? As you are running your windows inside a VM you might be running into the same graphics driver issue .....

When the WalletServer and Mobile Clients are done (still planned for Q1) i will create a new lightweight desktop wallet that does not need to run its own blockchain based on the same WalletServer. I will make sure that client will run on all desktops including windows 10 and OSX. You will probabbly also able to import your current desktop wallets into the new mobile clients as the server uses the same wallet architecture.

Not good if you can't run the latest version of CSC inside a clean VM.... I am inclined to fork CSC and update it with the latest code from LTC...if only I had the time. If the direction of CSC continues like it is (requiring specific graphic drivers, etc) then maybe I will find the time.

For those who do not want/like installers here is a version of the latest CSC client (2.0.1.0) without the installer:

Introducing Sandcoins: An Alternatively Branded Casinocoin Wallet
The Casinocoin Foundation is proud to announce the release of an alternatively branded Casinocoin wallet named: "Caribbean Sandcoins".

This version of the wallet is being released at the request of a partner, who desired to utilize Casinocoins for an ecommerce/merchant application in a major Caribbean country outside the Bahamas. The main issue at hand was that the current gambling-branded wallet would not have been compliant with existing banking regulation in this particular country. In negotiation with this partner, the "Caribbean Sandcoin" name was chosen because it was considered generic, tropical themed, and conformed to the CSC designation.

With regard to this release, please be aware of the following:

  • The Sandcoin wallet uses a different config directory than the existing Casinocoin wallet
  • Both wallets can run simultaneously and independently on the same host
  • Wallets can be freely imported between both versions of the wallet
  • You can send coins freely from either wallet type to each other
  • Sandcoins can be sent to any exchange that currently trades Casinocoins
  • Sandcoins will have it's own website located at: http://sandcoins.com/
  • Casinocoin wallets and Sandcoin wallets operate on the same chain
  • The Sandcoin wallet will track the same casinocoin version numbers

This is going to be super! Definitely something ideal for CasinoCoin. I can use Sandcoins the same way as Casinocoin which means I could exchange 1 CSC to 1 Sandcoin. I wonder if it will have a different price than CSC, but seeing that it could be exchanged wherever CSC is traded at, I am not so sure. Still, this makes me more interested into CSC. That is why I will keep holding them for long term.  Cheesy

Caribbean SandCoin, nice.  Why stop there though!?

Crime Stoppers Coin - a coin to help raise funds for unsolved mysteries
Cash Store Coin - payday advances sent electronically

This is semi-serious and semi-joking

If this is well received, why not have a few aliases that are practical!?
