...For people that believe the Olympic game to be an easy winning for Djokovic, you guys are wrong.
There is no easy tournament when you see top players from all over the world trying to win the same medal but I don't blame the other members here for saying that. I may not like his style but what can I do when he is that good of a player?

...
Its a big surprise that USA is not even on this list at all. China as expect to dominate in this olympic games even from the start. But we should expect USA to start winning some medals and getting fast to the top of the list.
I don't expect the USA to top the list but they should be ranked higher than most countries on the list after a couple of days.

After the first day of competitions, we already have some medals:

China is already ahead with 4 medals in total. But it's still too early and there are still a lot of medals to be won.
Even if it just the first day it is still kind of surprising, the US most of the time dominates from day one and it does not appear even on the top 10 which is quite surprising, obviously I still think they will dominate at the end of the games but it is still interesting what is happening.

It will be interesting to see how Japan does at their own games they have one gold and one silver, and both came from Judo but I think the silver should be disappointing as Judo is one of the sports they were thinking on dominating.

China has taken a good start - 75% of the medals are gold. Given the fact that 339 sets of medals will be played, it is too early to talk about any leadership, we must wait until at least a third of the medals have been played.

It's still too early, I have not seen the USA on the list yet but I think they'll catch up in the medal tally competition although it's possible that China will bag the biggest number of medals in this Olympics. I'm following the event already as I have subscribed to our local cable provider and I will not anymore miss a single action of my favorite games.

Interestingly enough, the number of medals to be played has increased by almost 10% compared to the previous Olympiad.
What does it mean? Are there sports or games added?

It's not easy at all predicting this matches, and I remember in last round I only got one right, Argentina lost to Australia and Egypt played just 0:0 with Spain.
Japan won few days ago but I just can't believe they can do it again in match with Mexico.

Thanks for the share.

That will be really tough obviously but a free bet is still a free bet.

There's also a 4-3-Free bet between Japan and Mexico in a later's tip-off at Group A. Mexico is coming from a dominant win against France 4:1. I doubt the host Japan can handle them.

@Daniel91 Djokovic should comfortably reach the finals judging from the form of all his would-be competitors. And he's already withdrawn from Toronto so he's got every bit of effort focused on the Golden Slam.

Trying to find outrights on Osaka but seems the books haven't set it yet or?

Think Stake has a nice promo on new records.
Judging by how quickly the records are updated, these bets can be profitable, tomorrow I will try to study them (to access the site I need a VPN, and I'm at work now).

Let me know of your tips here, I'm not even sure which events have world records except for fastest, heaviest, longest, etc. Don't even know who the best sprinters are anymore these days, but marathons seem to be popular for setting records too huh.

Today's tennis game between D. Medvedev and A. Bublik was outstanding and Medvedev won in style while  Djokovic also beat H. Dellien. Tomorrow A. Murray and A. Zverev will face F. Auger-Aliassime and Y.H. Lu respectively. For people that believe the Olympic game to be an easy winning for Djokovic, you guys are wrong.

Hey guys like they're going?

In Cycling South America is shining on the part of Carapaz, after having won the first Olympic gold medal, since the 1.5km could not reach it, good work for Carapaz:

Men's Road Race: Musashinonomori Park - Fuji International Speedway

Nice win for Carapaz but I am a little bit disappointed that Van Aert didn't won. With a little bit more support, Van Aert would probably have finished first but congrats to Carapaz for one of the biggest wins in his career.
Looking forward to the time trial also as Van Aert is also the nr 1 favorite there to win the title.

Before this tournament, I hoped that Croatian tennis player Cilic could finally win an Olympic medal.
However, after a very strange and unusual first match against Menezes, and a tough win after 10 unused match balls, I am no longer a big optimist.
His next opponent will be Spanish tennis player Carreno-Busta and if he does not raise the level of his game, Cilic will not have any chances in that match.
If nothing else, at least Djokovic started very well in his quest for the golden slam  Cheesy
It seems to me that Djokovic does not have a serious opponent until the semifinals.

Richard Carapaz brought home the gold medal for Ecuador in the men’s Olympic road race in Tokyo on Saturday in a pulsating finale that saw the climber drop his main rivals on the last two climbs.

Carapaz made his first acceleration with 25km to go in response to a move from Brandon McNulty (USA) before dropping his breakaway companion and soloing to the win with 5.8km to go.

These Olympic games are starting with great strength, so far everything is going very well for Tokyo and with a great work on the part of the athletes and coaches, it is strange to see without the presence of the people cheering, but what does last is that Olympic spirit .

I might make a bold prediction now but I might lock in David Popovici to win the Gold Medal at Swimming as this kid is the next superstar in my country Romania and to be honest, my country has lacked such a talent since we had a young Simona Halep in tennis. This kid broke down the record at 50m at European and I've already read that some countries know that he might be the winner in the end so watch closely on this young talent.

In Judoka yes, Japan leads the tally since then, there's no doubt on this.

In the first day of  this Olympic, China takes the lead already and this is expected just like on Rio Olympics. I'm still looking for a USA athletes to take their first medal in Tokyo Olympics. I hope more countries will won medal this time and not just the top countries, I'm hoping for a medal to the Philippines as well.

I was rooting for the Brazilian Gabriela Chibana to be able to stand out, but when I saw that she got exactly the number one in the world, it was clear to me that this would be an impossible feat or magnificent to see, unfortunately, it didn't work out for the Brazilian.

But we have some highlights from "non-favorite" countries, at least in bronze:
  • Munkhbat Urantsetseg of Mongolia;
  • Daria Bilodid from Ukraine;
  • Yeldos Smetov from Kazakhstan.

I'm sorry if I'm missing someone, but apart from these I haven't found any other medals for "non-favorite" countries in judo, although it's too early for that.

I am excited about the Olympic Games and in particular this one in 2020 because with so much sacrifice it is being carried out. I will try to share the medals that my Latin American region wins. Today our sister country of Ecuador has won the first gold medal in its representation of Richard Carapaz M in the men's cycling road category.

Quote
Ecuador's Richard Carapaz won Olympic gold in the men's cycling road race on Saturday, timing to perfection a tactical, final descent after a tough 234-kilometer course worthy of a mountain stage of the Grand Tour.

I am happy for the nation Japan that the judoka Takato won gold on the very first day. Of course it's nice to start so successfully as a guast nation. The silver medal was won in the women's event from Japan.

With a total of 40 gold medals in judoka at the Olympics, Japan is the most successful nation.
Yes, host Japan is in second place with one gold and two bronze medals and countries that also won gold are South Korea, Ecuador, Iran, Kosovo, and China in first place by getting 2 gold and 1 bronze.
and the Tokyo Olympics has just started and there are still many surprises from various sports and China is indeed the most powerful and accomplished country in any sport and is always in the top position.

China already has two gold medals - a couple of hours ago, the Chinese woman won the weightlifting competition in the 49 kg category. And again a new Olympic record was set - 210 kilograms in total. Interesting numbers, taking into account the weight of the athlete, pharmacology works wonders  Grin

Think Stake has a nice promo on new records. Was thinking of taking a few too but it'd be practically blind betting for me as I know next to nothing about all these sports. That happens to be my weight too, and I can lift someone twice my weight with some difficulty but 100kg is a real challenge if I don't use fireman's lift. Crazy pharmacology eh? Wink

Pharmacology (Made in China)  Grin.

But that girl has taken the Asian Championships last April, so not surprised that she will bring the gold in the this years' Olympics. And if I'm not mistaken the record which she held is 213 kilograms.

Interesting to note that the silver medal goes to Mirabai Chanu of India, their first weight lifting medal in 21 years.

Pharmacology is used by all athletes from all countries and this gives fantastic progress, for example, in 1984, with her current result, she could have been in 12th place among men up to 52 kilograms!
