some online gambling rigged and scam. they say probably fair but is not fair Cheesy

It's really up to the player to check the reputation of the casino they are going to play at, check for fairness, address issues as they arise, and be fair to their players.

There are good online casinos, and there are bad online casinos; in every industry, there will be bad actors so since you are spending money, spend it on a platform where there is fairness and you are going to enjoy its features, we are here to play to enjoy and to make money.

In my country,  all physical shops are owned by companies that also have online platforms where you can do all that is in the physical shops plus more with the same odds, same condition of service and same everything apart from when you win you have to present your ticket for physical shops. Actually, online gambling have become the favourite option for most gamblers due to the numerous advantages it holds over physical gambling shops; we can just call this the impact of the Internet and technology in the gambling business.

In most countries where gambling is allowed we are used to there being very few or even just a single company that is allowed to gamble with. For example in most US states as well as most of Europe only the state monopoly company is allowed to operate gambling shops. And for most people this is their only exposure to gambling.

But if you think a out it, this form of "legal" gambling is unfair to the gambler in the sense that it has ridiculously large house edge rates and very low return to player rates. For instance, state lotteries have an RTP of around 50%. They get to keep the rest! State owned slots and kino games can have a house edge of 30%! This is absurd compared to online casinos where the absolute maximum of a house edge I have seen is 5% on any game, but usually it's 1% for most games and 2.5% for slots.

The only thing good with state gambling corporations is that they may offer better odds for sports betting sometimes. Thankfully their volume gets utilized in something good for once. But even the allure of high lottery reward with them hides behind the fact that they keep 50% of proceeds so the rewards could even be higher.

All in all I just wanted to say that the competition in online gambling has made casinos much more fair than the gambling shops when it comes to any gambling game. So I would say if someone is going to gamble anyway, maybe better to introduce them to online play. And also let them know what provable fairness is, they're going to appreciate you down the line probably. Wink

I agree that it is better to go play in an online casino than try to win anything in lotteries or physical casinos.  Online casinos need to be chosen carefully and based on good reviews.  I believe that all the best casinos are represented on our forum.  Because here there is an opportunity to openly ask them a question if the gambler is not satisfied with something in the service.  There are also managers to contact the casino.  Therefore, I would choose either Duelbits or Roobet.  And other casinos are also good.

However, you should be playing on reputable casinos only. Because right now you will find hundreds of casinos but not all of them could be provably fair as there could be collusion and other form or cheat, like not paying their customers if they win big and then asked for KYC. Not only that, you should also read the ToS, like if they don't allow someone from restricted country to play on them by using VPN.

So there are still some problems that might arise if you play online against traditional based casinos that if you won the jackpot or win big, then you can just go to the cashier and cash out your winnings without going to do KYC and payments being delayed, in my opinion.

I think whether online play or offline, they are all achieving same purpose and which is to stake out your bet then it depends on what you want to go for. People who hid from public gambling will so prefer privacy and gamble online but gambling online too can make you more addicted because you will always find it convenient to gamble with your mobile phone. However, no doubt that we are having tighter competition among online casinos with different games introduced in play. In my country, offline gambling is also reliable as they serve as channel to the online gambling.

To begin with, I would not say so loudly that online gambling is the most honest gambling game. If only because we cannot find out the real RTP. Secondly, the rules in all gambling games are drawn up in such a way that it is profitable for the casino (remember the “zero” sector on roulette?) And in this vein, can gambling be called the most honest?

A state monopoly on gambling or lotteries benefits only a narrow circle of owners of this niche who do not want to share profits with newcomers to the industry. Here, an online casino turns out to be more profitable for owners, because it allows almost anyone to open a casino and creates healthy competition. But, without appropriate supervision and control, fraudulent casinos prevail, which is completely unprofitable for gamblers. Therefore, I find it difficult to classify an online casino as something very good, but accept it as an existing fact of its existence. The choice to play in an online or offline casino is something I will leave to everyone's personal decision.

There are other advantages of physical or state-owned casinos. These casinos can be sued if a gambler feels that he has been cheated. Since these casinos operate within a jurisdiction, they are bound by the legal system of the country. One can seek redress in court if the online casino is registered in the country but it could be a complicated legal procedure if the online casino is not bound by any agreement or law. Physical casinos also contribute to the revenue of the government through tax. It also creates employment and engages in social corporate responsibility.

Online casinos remove so many barriers that gamblers face in brick-and-mortar gambling shops. They offer better services and competitive odds. I would have to confess that I have won more in online casinos than in gambling shops. That's why I would accept that they offer fairer games. I will recommend people to crypto casinos because these are the platforms that have given me good experience in gambling.

I agree with you and I have been thinking about this for quite some time too. I know how absurd the winning chance is in physical slots, it's almost like a lottery where you will need the jackpot just to cover all your losses.
While in online gambling 2-6 percent of house edge is just okay and somehow you could still see yourself winning a lot of times. I've hit good jackpots in slots and I can say I'd rather play this kind of game rather than go to a physical casino just to empty my wallet.
The bonus is that you won't need gas money, food, and drinks. You can buy it all at the grocery and stock it on refrigerator and you can start gambling without even thinking about how expensive your needs are. We can use that saved money to gamble more.

Those who own land-based casinos are mostly old people who follow old rules and this business doesn't work without connection and monopoly. Online gambling is a very different sector from land-based gambling. Online offers more freedom and those who create online casinos are mostly the people from the young generation, from 1990, so rules are different and instead of doing bad things behind the scenes, we have healthy competition. That's why online gambling offers more Return To Player compared to land-based casinos but land-based casino offers you real-life experience. I would only go to land-based casinos to enjoy the atmosphere that they create, I wouldn't spend much money there since their RTPs are one of the lowest.

This is true in all forms of gambling. While the state registered casinos and government backed ones have a bigger house edge, it is because of their cost of operations. They have the physical attributes that cost them money and all of the staff that are in the premises that needs to get paid.

While online operations are also costly but for sure that there's more reduction in the operation expenses compared to the physical ones that needs to set a lot of permits and pay them and that's why they have to recover it through means of bigger house edge %.

Aside from that, gambling online is convenient.

You are probably right as this applies to your country. Most of the gambling people in my country spend the bulk of their time on sports betting. Random strangers that I have met in bus parks, football pitches, barbing saloons all visit their favourite online sports bookies to bet on a match. I have hardly seen anyone in an online casino website apart from close friends. I think provably fairness is not the selling point for them or it is not the competitive advantage that sports bookies have over online casinos. Maybe for them, it is something more than just that.

I think online based casinos are already very popular and people are very comfortable gambling here. People are using their own mobiles or laptops to gamble and mostly in private. The so-called casino can greatly reduce their visits to shops or bars and reduce their waste of time. Gambling needs may vary based on specific circumstances and locations, which may change over time and even reflect people's preferences. Many people may prefer to go to casinos or shops to gamble and play with people they know.

You are absolutely right, and the fact is that different countries have different odds of winning. In the country where I live, a gambler can at best rely on a physical casino with the lowest chances of winning. Yes, such a casino is checked by the regulatory authorities, but still, who wants to play in a casino that gives a minimum return to gamblers? And due to the fact that there are online casinos in different countries on the Internet, you can play with them and get normal chances of winning. At the same time, you can choose any good casino you like.

some online gambling rigged and scam. they say probably fair but is not fair Cheesy
For sure a lot of online gambling resorts to unfair promotion terms or outright rigged games. But with crypto gambling we now have provable fairness also so the fairness of games can be proven in an indisputable way through cryptography.

If outcomes of a game are provably pre determined then the point of gambling in a fair manner is secure and I'd feel much more safe than gambling in any state owned establishment where they don't even know or care about provable fairness. This aspect of gambling makes crypto casinos that utilize it shine bright among the rest 😎

Online, gambling as we know is gradually kicking out the local betting shops from the market. Though we know very well that some people will still prefer to gamble locally especially the advanced people who don't always have time to access the Internet. Online casino provides probably fair games to its players and everything there is visible to you. Easily to access and you don't need to leave the comfort of your home and walk miles to local shops just to place bets which after you make wins you will still walk same road to collect your wins. Local gambling still is a common means of gambling for most countries though and  I think for these countries, the people might not be familiar with online casino that much.

I'm aware of many countries with a free and open systems to register betting companies. Anyone who follows the registration guidelines can set up a physical gambling house and there is stuff competition in that space for customers that favour walk-in play than online.
If there are countries that strongly regulate how many companies can enter the space, they are definitely not the majority.

Those physical outlets also have online platforms and have have equal house edge cause they distribute the cost of production evenly across their different sources of cash flow.

Even the betting agents are working for the online gambling sites fwhich makes no difference than people placing bet offline while the betting agent help them stake the vet online just like people that do it directly online.
