A Windows GPU miner with stratum support is missing from the landscape right now and it would offer a simple workaround for those that don't want to build zcashd on a linux system to get an address. They could keep the coins on a stratum pool and payout to an exchange or wait for a Windows wallet.

So youre saying I can use this mining on an Eth rig that is windows 10 by just using the windows binary ? I dont have to do the Windows Ubuntu shell install to use it ?
Yes, no problem mining in windows 10, but you must obtain valid Z-Address for payments, it possible only on linux or on first online exchange with ZCash deposit support.

Also how about CPU mining can this miner do both CPU and GPU at the same time or do you need to use something like NiceHash'es fee based miner on a separate console ?
I'll release separate CPU miner after 1-2 days.

is this miner only for win 10, cant seem to get it running on win7 always comes up with an error, thanks in advance

Correct but with multi gpu spil the hashrate if u try with 5 gpus u get 2s/s for each

when this will be fixed on windows? on ubutntu it appear to be working with multiple gpu?

So its just a wrong display?

I edited the config just to use ojne gpu but it looks like it full ignors it ? Sad

Yes with 2 card spilt the hasrate in 2 with 3 split in 10/3 and so on

I had the same on ethOS (built on ubuntu) when mined ETH with pair of r9 380's on old s775 MoBo. Had a 9,5 hashrate on each of two cards. One alone was giving stable 18,5.
 After switching to Win 7 problem has disappearerd and only thing each card does 17,5 even with some mem bust.

So what sys do you have? May be using Win can solve that problem too?

I am on windows because i failed for round about 8 hours to get amd drivers installed on ubuntu :/

I've read above that only 4 gpus are limited for that miner (work properly). is that right?  Or even 2 will be bad allready?

Problem is the same with 2 Nvidia cards too.

Any wallets for Windows available yet ?

what?

this is a GPU miner thread...

plus zcash doesn't even get released till the 28th, AND has already stated there will NOT be windows wallets on launch...

please do some research before coming into a thread with useless questions...  or for god sake alteast READ the OP...

Buy a better fucking attitude.. thnx

Per aspera ad astra
Remove the pause and the . (dot) from the config.
Fanspeed = XXX YYY ZZZ should be your last line.

And change platform from amd to nvidia.

Well, maybe because a nvidia gtx 1070 is not an AMD Card?
Just maybe...  Huh Roll Eyes

My nvidia gtx 1070 dont work on windows 10  , use this config.txt :

server = "coinsforall.io";
port = "6668";

# Your ZCASH payout address
address = "zthTb2ToG5kuAc11Ni6NxoYjoxQdEr2XvST7XEdLvmHG9k7kotEcwYCaAn1SH4zRdPoXn9kNeFm8CQo k9SNtNgn8d9WcdTK";

# You can give this machine a custom name
# Computer name is used as default
# name = "worker_name";

# Platform:
#  "amd": AMD GCN cards
#  "nvidia": NVidia Maxwell cards
platform = "amd";

# GPU crash handling (properly untested feature):
# 0 - do nothing
# 1 - close miner application
# 2 - reboot system (need superuser rights)
onCrash = "0";

# - The following settings have one entry per GPU
# - If you have more than 4 just add more entries or leave it as is to use defaults
# - All entries must be separated by commas and set between double quotes

# 0 = don't use device
# 1 = use device
devices =        ["1", "1", "1", "1", "1"];
