https://twitter.com/openbazaar/status/613142330846113792 I'm joining their slack, is just a better way to see how things are coming along, well it has taken off since they got funding, I'm glad they did because at some point i thought it was gonna die since other markets had come out.

I have try several times to complete an order without a notary but my orders stays forever in "sent" status. Finally i have choose a real notary and i have complete my order a ledger wallet. I have done the payment yesterday and i hope to see it the ledger guy there Tongue to sent my item.

i'm really looking forward to this, is this an used thing i suppose? in the future it would be cool to buy non-used things from shop that will utilize open bazar for their business

Finally something I have been waiting for, OpenBazaar is pretty much a decentralized ebay based on DarkMarket which is a P2P trading platform.

http://www.btcfeed.net/news/openbazaar-is-the-decentralized-ebay/

Can't wait to use it, theres not gonna be the 15% ebay fees and no more paypal stealing your hard earned money
The main advantages of Open Bazaar are the innovative sales and promotions, huge variety of products in their locations, large number of products and cheap price. There are some disadvantages also. As their products are low priced, their demands are always overfilled, the billing can take a long time, customer service and quality is variable.

I've been waiting on openbazaar for a while now, any news yet on release date?

Hopefully sooner rather than later though I'd prefer wait longer if it means the official release is stable and easy to use. You can already try the OpenBazaar Beta 0.4.0 (Portobello) release if you're interested: https://blog.openbazaar.org/openbazaar-beta-0-4-0-portobello-is-released/

Currently only available for Linux and OSX though I'm sure there is an earlier version of OB that supports Windows.

Its a nice concept but does it have a web interface?
If we have to download and install software, it won't take off. There has to be a web based design.

Same goes for bitcoin; it needs to be made more web friendly.

Lol. Are torrent's not popular? Skype not popular? Do people not use web browsers or tor or bitcoin because you have to instal them first. No. Sometimes for certain things to work you have to instal them, but I'm sure there will be other decentralised markets that are just websites but some people are going to have to run them to make them decentralised.

he has a point, it could be a reason why many prefer to use online wallet, they don't trust a random installer on their machine, add to this that bitcoin exe isn't signed, and widnows will tell you that, you'll have plenty of average people that will say "no no" to it

There should be many different markets all running the same software or something similar. There should be legit ones that can be like direct competitor to ebay then there should be darknet ones that sell drugs. It surely can't just be an uncensored free for all where you can buy anything from legit goods to drugs and cp. I'm not sure how Open Bazar will work fully but its going to be interesting for sure.
You are spot on. Barrier for entry is too high. Bit halo is based on bitmessage too and has a censoring key concept.. Also rep system to vote offers out.. Although I believe none of that is needed.. Ability to track coins will keep honest since there isn't any true annonymity.

So is other guy about web interface.. These problems are easily solved by trustless blockchain designs and hard to do with p2p

i'm fairy sure OpenBazaar will get forked so there will probably be quite a few different versions running in the future. personally I hope OB stays fairly legit so that it doesn't alienate people from using it. got no idea how they could enforce that though, maybe they'll setup some kind of report mechanism to shut down sales of cp and guns etc

Is there a forum to review current sellers on openbazaar ? since most of the dark markets have a forum where sellers get rated.

not as far as I know, could try https://www.reddit.com/r/OpenBazaar/ for some more info. wouldn't presume it's only for darkmarket shennigans, I'm hoping it's going to be a more legitimate way of buying and selling. if lots of people start selling drugs on there it isnt going to be good PR for bitcoin...and it wont help convince Ebayers to switch over.
