As for voting: I have to go thru PMs but every one that left their input here and via PM has been unanimous in attempting the 100% Hashrate upgrade at 25% more.

===

Shall we begin collecting funds for the R1 & R2 upgrades? If so, we can begin collecting them in the R2 wallet we used.

I have ~.7 BTC there leftover I can apply to my portion of the R2 upgrade: 17a29H9BhUnaPZgZSdFifPndGxxWQXayuH

If we don't collect enough funds, somehow, I'll refund anyone that paid for the upgrade, at no restock fee. I'm not going to order the upgrade unless we have almost all the funds in hand, though.

I think I may have forgotten to vote, but I vote for more hash.

How much to send to the wallet?

Est. cost per share for upgrade: $43, using Bitstamp rate. I can transfer that from your R4 23 share refund if you'd like.
Sounds good.

Just confirmining on top of any ac we may purchase, the warehouse has its own built in AC, + the Missouri Winter

We are going to need extra AC sooner or later. If we have good vents at the warehouse then the Missouri winter + dehumidifiers might be cost effective in the short term. Its the summer months that will get be a challenge, Im hoping we will be in upgrade mode by then so with the extra heat there is no avoiding the AC subject in the long term. The question is do we need it now?

1) HF chips seem to want to be massively cooled and will Overclock best in cold conditions unlike 55nm Bitfury chips, for example.

2) Even if we only get a 15% boost in Overclocking due to the frigid conditions, that would allow us to overclock a 1.2TH/s Sierra from:

say 1380GH/s with a 15% overclock to 1560GH/s for a 30% Overclock which could do wonders for our mining attempts.[/color]

3) HF is estimating their MPP of 2-4X extra hashrate shipped to customers based on stock hashrate ROI calculations.  Smiley

4) As long as we get to 20 min. est. battery backup (*with* overclocking because that draws extra power), I'm fine with using extra funds on extra A/C for the HF miners as long as the co-op is fine with this.

==

To the co-operative:Thoughts on the extra funds to be used for A/C?

Agree with the higher thermal footprint of HF chips requiring higher airflow and lower temps, + we will be getting more chips = more heat.
I would say, lets research prices, get it up and working and see how far we can push the boundaries. If an outside air source is unfeasible I say we go with a beefed up AC now (preferably blue!).

It would be ideal if we had both Smiley

I am working on having a large air intake installed in the wall right behind my current rack, and then a pair of exhausts in the vaulted ceiling. This should mean for minimal - to no AC needed from November thru march based on my research.

I prefer A/C over battery backup with this low probability of outages.

Do you have results of hashrate upgrade vote?

Sounds good to me. We can also back off on the OC during battery backup to extend the run time.

I had some initial concerns but Bob was able to help me understand his local situation much better. He says if there's an outage of longer than 20 minutes it will take hours to get power back online.

On the bright side: after checking, he says there hasn't been any outages for longer than 8 minutes in the last 7 years, and none in 2012.

In that case, since as far as fund-raising, we're an at-cost co-operative - or as close as possible without being a charity - so I'm in for this plan because:

1) HF chips seem to want to be massively cooled and will Overclock best in cold conditions unlike 55nm Bitfury chips, for example.

2) Even if we only get a 15% boost in Overclocking due to the frigid conditions, that would allow us to overclock a 1.2TH/s Sierra from:

So I know we have extra funds in R2-R4 I think for UPS etc right?

How about a little less beefy UPS and a extra air conditioner for all of them? I could give all the machine a nice little corner of the warehouse with their own special cooling. Would alow us to get any extra OC out of them.

all good now! Smiley

Thank you! When you said OP I thought you were talking about the OP on Page 16 when I thought the 4 shares opened up since our wallet was short.

But obviously you meant the *other* OP.  Grin

Please update the OP, it still says 4 shares left in bold red letters
thanks DZ

Sorry.

Done (well, at least w/ my posts; I won't delete people's posts in any of our co-op threads unless they're hurtful or trolling).

Thanks Adam! As always, everyone's input and help is appreciated and welcome.

Strange.. I still see it

FLASH SALE: We have 4 at-cost shares available in a Baby Jet est. to be delivered on Nov. 1 in a professional colocation site in Missouri run by bobsag3 and a business partner. TL;DR: 1 share = 10-12.5 GH/s for Order 616, a Day 1 shipment as the 64th miner Paid for. We'll likely vote to double hashrate at 25% extra cost.
