1/4 of 2014 has already passed. This isn't a smart bet, as we would need a really major event for such a price increase.
What is the deadline of the betting? I think is not good if we bet now there is still many factors to consider.
Pessimist here, don't think we're gonna break 2k this year. Something REALLY big must happen to get there - maybe amazon/ebay/other_big_service bitcoin adoption or something like this.

It's certainly possible but I wouldn't enter into that bet until we are at 2000 by June or 5000 by August myself

I personally believe it is very possible mainly because we are living in the freaking twilight zone.
I really don't believe it will reach 10 000$ by the end of the year, if ever.

bitcoin is becomming more and more popular and if 10x more pople join then i feel that price wil jump up 10x because there is a limited amount of bitcoin.
Maybe, but it's been moving pretty slow this year. Long gone are the wild rises.
in 2013 the huge jump wasnt untill the end of the year and happened in a small amount of time not spread out throughout the year. bitcoin could hit 5,000 by april 31 for all we know. we are just on a rollar coster and we will see where it ends up
