Payout still didnt work for me  Huh
The BitVegas wallet was refilled, not the BitAds one. Wink

Why isn't there an automatic system for this?
I think because he is around, most of the time. Also, having such a system running in the background is a high risk if someone hacks the website/server.

Well this does suck. It was good while it lasted. I'm sure someone more reputable will step up and offering something even better. I'm removing the ads from my site as well.

I'm willing to start up something but I won't do it until we're 100% sure that bitads is dead, which probably is not. So let's just wait.

You'll only be able to receive payout when/if this address gets refilled: https://blockchain.info/address/1Pqd5pR2V53y59hhYyoRkusQrzC1W31V5g

The BitVegas wallet was refilled, which means that the owner isn't dead, missing or wanting to scam people. It seems like he is very busy with something, what exactly I do not know. Before the holidays started, he did tell the staff of BitVegas that he was going to be gone for a while over the holidays.
That's good news, thanks for sharing!

Yeah, a notice or an alert on the site would have been nice... I hope he didn't die or something. I also really liked the idea. Anyone else know of another site like this?

Wow. They kept everything in one wallet?!

It seems like it works like that:

Each advertiser has a deposit address where they deposit to their account.
Someone would manually pool funds from the different addresses to this address 1Pqd5pR2V53y59hhYyoRkusQrzC1W31V5g which is used solely for paying out publishers.
Since the admin hasn't been online for exactly a month it seems like there is no one to do this.

I'm taking off my ads now until he comes back, assuming he's not dead or something.

For any of those getting errors when they try to withdraw. It's because their wallet ran out of bitcoins https://blockchain.info/address/1Pqd5pR2V53y59hhYyoRkusQrzC1W31V5g
If the admin never shows up again, I guess it's the end.

Although this never was a scam, it technically is. Its a unintended scam. Guess all we can do is wait.

Well, I wouldn't call it a scam, no one was cheated and no fraudulent activity was carried, unless the admin ran away with the bitcoins and went MIA. Anyway, if nothing happens in 2 days, I'm removing the ads from my website.

Part of this is some of the sites are getting or using fake traffic and over taxing the system.

Notice how the 1st site listed bitbin.it has a huge amount of pageviews and few hits?

This is because the users have been using hitleap, an auto traffic exchange, on the site.

Trying to get hits on their pastes and generate bitcoin with this method. Also, looks like

they have alexaboostup.com as linking in site, more fake traffic too.

There is also a few more cheating sites in the top ten, you can tell because they have no content,

but a huge amount of pageviews along with fake hits...  Roll Eyes Check sites with alexa.com before you bid.

If you see hitleap.com as a linking in site, you know they are cheating with pageviews for sure.

Why has the website been so slow (and downtime) recently? Will this be fixed?

I've also felt since day one that earnings were not as much as bids. I think admin mentioned somewhere that fees were 10%.
I remember that too, but by my calculations fees are above 20%.

Well, lets just wait till the admin comes back (if he ever does).
