just noticed the glbse page says the interest rate is 5% - is this new, or is this an error I'd missed?

contract is not right... i can't edit contracts...

it is 6.8% until pirate lowers rates.

thanks

Thanks Goat! Thought that's what the deal was.

Sorry if you've already answered this, but have you received any other info on whether or not you'll be able to issue more bonds next month?

Wait, I thought you were staying at 6.8% after August 1? (Trust account?)

he is as long as 'his' rates stay the same. He should have stated, "it is 6.8% until pirate lowers my rates.

i have said before if someone wants to sell i will buy at 1. they just need to let me know how much and give me a reasonable amount of time to get the funds to glbse.
Oh, ok. I missed that part, thanks.
Maybe you should put the info in the fist post of this topic.

@Goat, would you be able to not only sell, but also buy back bonds on weekly basis, at a fixed price?
I think 1.00 right after the divs get paid would be a fair rate.

Or maybe, to make it simple, you could just have some 1.00 bid active for all the time being?

I can't imagine why someone would make a 5000BTC bet directly with Pirate that he would default. Unless Pirate has already placed the 5000 in escrow, do you really think he'd pay your 5000 if he ran off with another 200k?

Meh, I should have stayed in it.  I pulled out last week and lost out on around 25BTC (across all my PPT-related holdings).  Thanks a lot, Vandroiy.  DICK.

Cry I feel sorry for you.

Since it's too late, maybe you should just try thinking of it like a charity.
Your money didn't go into a black hole. It went to a person who bought the underpriced bonds from you and this person is most likely not evil, and maybe even disabled or has a cancer... Smiley

Actually, bank runs can kill "real" banks too... Roll Eyes

Anyways, got myself another few quite cheap shares so far! Looking forward to some happy Tuesdays. Smiley

For context if anyone is following this thread but does not know, This guy just made a 5000 BTC bet that Pirate will default. It looks like he is just trying to cause a run on the bank to make it true. :/ What a poor sport. Can let it play out on the merits alone :/

I should be allowed to point out an extreme event like that with a little extra smiley. What I did before the bet, that was trying to cause a bank run. I believe there's no way I can change the outcome of the bet, other than resigning it.

Why would a bank run make a non-Ponzi operation default? If BS&T is susceptible to a bank run, why does it allow withdrawals at all times?

Let me just add a warning to my sig to be done with this accusation.

Hello, It seems that the Trust accounts at this time can not have coin pushed out. The smaller savings accounts can.

At this time we will keep the TYGRR.BOND-P operating as it has. I will also open up sub accounts if there is demand.

Thanks.

What does this mean?  That sentence makes it sound like Trust accounts won't be paid out.

Effectively, it means you can deposit as much as you like and it will stay there. Smiley

What gets me... Why is it not enough for the pirate haters to open a load of new threads, but they also have to go and post in every single thread? Yawn.
