Floyd Mayweather drops hint he's preparing for Manny Pacquiao rematch

Floyd Mayweather has convinced some fans he is ready for a Manny Pacquiao rematch by posting training footage on social media.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/boxing/floyd-mayweather-drops-hint-hes-18854110

Mayweather is always training by default, this is by no means an indication that he's preparing for a rematch with Manny.

I mean even Mayweather Sr still trains, I guess he's coming back for one last fight too? Maybe against Charlie Zenoff  Grin

Jr. is probably just training for some exhibition match somewhere, I doubt he wants Pacquiao-level smoke at his age.
You cant compare the all Mayweather to every other fighter because boxing and the staying in shape act run in the family veins. Besides, this is one of the reasons why it will be hard for Manny to beat Mayweather Jr. never they meet in the ring.

All Mayweather cares about is his "0" lose which he will protect no matter what happen.
Will the fight commence? I still don't have a clue that this fight will come.
Let's expect it will, so it will be realize, the more people are hyping this fight to happen the more Mayweather will think he will get more money with this rematch, so although there's no guarantee it will happen but as long as help to hype the chances of it happening will increase.
It's possible to convince Floyd that there's still a lot of people that are interested to watch them fight again. Yeah, he'll rake hundreds of millions again if this fight happens.

But I'm really convinced that the chance is very low.

LOL so true about the fans being the victims in this potential rematch
But if the rematch does happen we can reap the benefits by betting on a Mayweather decision  Wink

It will not be boring like what their 1st match. Pacquaio will dominate Mayweather if the rematch will be confirmed that likely will happen. Unless there’s no bias judges or in other words they are paid, but still bottomless of that picture and rumor, still very likely too good to be true that the rematch that we want to see will be happen.
I hope also that it would not be a boring fight but i don't think also that Mayweather style will change and will slug it out with Manny for the entertainment of the fans watching. All Mayweather cares about is his "0" lose which he will protect no matter what happen.

He already surpassed Rocky Marciano's record so I doubt the he wanted to protect that '0'. For all we know Mayweather is after big money fights. And with that said I don't believed that he is after his legacy or what. And there is a lot of fighters who have an unbeaten streaks and retire undefeated.

He knows down the line that there could be a lot of arguments against him being the best. Although he beat Manny the first time, many are still consider the latter as one of the best a record 8 division that no one can even touch that record in the next coming years.

I don't think if he himself is convince that he is the best, what is inside his mind and what he says in public could be different.
People know who is the great fighter between the two, and for Mayweather to at least gain some respect from the boxing fans, he needs to fight Manny and beat him in the 2nd time around, a unanimous decision win would be nice for him.

MayWeather's style of fighting as we knew him keeps the fans being bored even Manny will try to be more aggressive this time but with the mentality of MayWeather he will use his speed to run away and keep the tempo on his advantage, this fight still a rumors and there's no news yet for any formal talks between this two camps, still the fans who've very aggressive to see this one will happen.

Exactly, age is not a concern here, the issue here is how much money will Floyd make, hehehe. Even Arum, Pacman's former manager is into hyping the fight as well.

https://www.boxingscene.com/arum-manny-pacquiao-beat-floyd-mayweather-now--141534

They seemed to keep pushing and pushing until this will come into reality.

Arum is a big name in the sport and has been making money in this sport and I know he knows how to hype as well, LOL.
Hopefully his statement would add more hype so Mayweather will be force to fight Manny, of course if the price is good.

Their first fight turns out to be a big success but the 2nd one might bring them big bucks for each, 60-40 in favor of Floyd is a good sharing and I think Manny will agree with this.
But it's weird though, why would Arum join the hype train? Is there something to him in the table as well? hehehe. Yes, I would agree that 60-40 in favor of Floyd is fair to say the least. Floyd will be Floyd, he will still be the A-side here no matter what Pacman do.

I think he's just one of the guys that want the fight to happen.

I agree also that Floyd has the favor, just hope this happens and it will happen well for Pacquiao, I am supporting him BTW. Another fight is looming and another Filipino boxer will be fighting Naoya Inoue. I've been following this Japanese monster and that punching power is really a gift. If no one knows this guy, immediately check him out, he is a savage beast. I want someone to stop him and then I read that Nonito will be facing him this November, another match hype.

@asu. I wish I can be as optimistic as you hehehe. However, Floyd's style with the Philly shell boxing and the defensive tactics make many of his fights very boring.

Floyd Mayweather drops hint he's preparing for Manny Pacquiao rematch
Woah! whoever is starting the buzz now and I don't think that this will make into reality? the question is if Manny would love the rematch against him if this is real. But this footage doesn't confirm that he's really talking about the rematch.

The link doesn't even have a say about this and I can't click the video it has, prolly I have an internet issue. But sooner or later, we'll know if they will really have a rematch although everyone has already gave up about it.

I reckon this works similar to an ICO hype scam and everyone is in. The sports news media, Pacman's group, Floyd's group and everyone who has an interest in this fight to make their money. The victims are us hehehe.

We will only be victims if we will force ourselves to watch the fight even if we are not interested watching it.
This hype really change our mind sometimes, the last one was pretty boring and here we go again, we give them a new chance hoping they'll show an exciting fight.

We will be victims again after the fight if it is as boring as the first one hehehe. But for us, it might be ok because we will only have little invested in pay per view subscriptions or nothing spent by streaming the fight illegaly. However, for the people who traveled and bought overpriced front row tickets to the fight will feel scammed hehehe.

While the intensity between the two is fresh and still getting the attention of the fans, they will consider it but if not, it's fine then Floyd has proven himself already and he's happy to have that win against Manny.
In short, if Floyd Mayweather Jr. will not accept the challenge of Manny Pacman Pacquiao for the rematch, it is really mean that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is playing safe, he maybe doesn't want anymore to get a lose by Manny Pacman Pacquiao and want his record clean with 0 loss.

Even if we based on their age which Floyd Mayweather Jr. is current on his 42 years old, and Manny Pacman Pacquiao is 40 years old, they can still fight since the gap is not too much, another big fight of the year once this will happen.
The age isn't the problem, they are making the interest of the people as a sole business. We as fans, we really want to see this fight and no doubt that many would love to watch the fight and get the tickets even with pay per view.

And I don't want to expect that this match will actually happen, Floyd might already have the sense and standing with his words that he literally retired and wanted to settle his career without a loss.
Exactly, age is not a concern here, the issue here is how much money will Floyd make, hehehe. Even Arum, Pacman's former manager is into hyping the fight as well.

Ohhh, is this a hint that they are pushing it hard and giving the people hype for this match? Bob Arum steps in and that can trigger to make this fight happen.

I'm more interested now on how much would be the share for Floyd. And I'm sure that his cut will be higher than Manny, as usual he won't be called with that label if he's letting his opponent get higher cut.

But Bob Arum and Manny Pacquiao already parted ways, Manny is with another promoter now. His new promoter will give him a chance to fight Mayweather again since they (Manny and Floyd) is under the same promoter. Maybe Arum has other plans thats why Arum also stepped in in hyping this rematch.

The second fight will never gonna happen and as I said Floyd can already get big bucks through his promotions and fighting Manny is not his priority right now. Not unless he is waiting the fans to get hyped about fighting Manny and once again breaking his own record of total sales and earnings in one fight.
