If countries join hands and form a league then it might give competence to the IPL. Maybe something like Asian league can be formed, and can be hosted in every participating country. This could increase the viewer base as well as popularise franchise cricket same as that we see football being played on the Western nations.

As of now Sri Lanka Premier League have got 7 teams. Bangladesh Premier League have got 7 teams. Afghanistan Premier League have got 5 teams and Everest Premier League have got 8 teams. Among this same player will be playing different leagues for different teams. Only in such occasion there arises problem.
This is a good suggestion. So we have 5 countries - Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Either they can have 2 teams each from these countries, or add one team and then can have additional teams from UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia. The tournament can be either held in Super League format (group based), or a shorter Super Cup format (knockout only). That said, teams from different countries are involved and therefore deciding on the revenue sharing and hosting rights may be a bit tricky.
Adding six or seven countries are not going to happen realistically because we will have many problems foremost this will be needed very long period and right now we have not been spacing for the event which is having more than 45 days even IPL is now having too many teams and longest event which bringing problems for the players here just having few countries like Afghanistan, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be also good because Bangladesh most chances will be not joined this event as they are already doing good for their BPL even this is not bringing enough revenue but still they will not join anything which involved Pakistan like India.

Having teams from Oman, UAE and Saudi Arab is also not ideal situation for them because most these countries not have native players so in case of they will have few matches in these countries will be also good but having more teams will never been ideal.

PCB cannot afford to increase the duration of the tournament as players have also domestic and international commitments and they cannot spend all the time in these tournaments. Also if there is a conflict in date in the PSL and IPL, many international players will prefer to play in IPL as compared to PSL and for sure PCB won't want this to happen.

One suggestion is to increase the number of teams in PSL but schedule more than one match in a day at different venues. This may achieve the purpose of increasing the teams in PSL yet the duration of the tournament will remain the same.

Surely it'll gain popularity within few seasons. The oil rich countries will make grand arrangements. Maybe the opening ceremony and the opening matches can be conducted there. Another big thing, every country should have schedule that doesn't coincide. If not the international cricket gets disturbed. When it comes to revenue sharing, for each match they need to fix additional profit to be provided for the hosting team. If the cricket board form a meeting and discuss, surely things can be eased and made possible.

I have a wild suggestion after witnessing the grand success of this year's IPL. For this season, the viewership (both domestic and global), as well as revenues reached new records. Now Najam Sethi is planning to add two more teams to the competition. My suggestion is to add two teams from outside Pakistan. They can add one team each from Afghanistan and Nepal. These two are cricket crazy countries and it will transform PSL to an international competition. Rather than having franchise leagues based in each of the test nations, I think that it is much better to have a single league covering multiple countries.

There is no doubt now after 8 seasons things are looking better and revenue and other aspects are giving good positive sides, so I agreed with this suggestion here I want to add few more things currently Sri Lankan league is having some issues, so they can add two teams from there as well which will increase their fanbase and revenue as well with three or four countries leagues are regular in European countries, so they can also do things like this which will bring good changes in this region.

Even this all is not easy because right now situation is not good in Pakistan, and we have to wait for how things could be in next few weeks because political and economic problems are going at their highest level and many countries already give negative reply about help which was usual business in Pakistan for many years but now China and Saudi Arab are completely not near this so first just wait and watch how they will settle this all in near future.
Exactly, when economical and political situation in a country is unusual, it is difficult to plan well on any specific thing. As it is noticed that in the case of Pakistan, they will not be able to take any decision very well with PSL now as long as their country's instability is over. The political crisis and the economic crisis are greatly affecting it. So we should wait for the next few days.

A target of 200 runs in the final match is naturally a big burden for the opposing team. But the opponent team lost by just 1 run while pursuing  target, the entire audience felt repentance for them ‍as they chased this big target of 200 runs, the team's sense of victory and defeat changed again and again which made the match more enjoyable. But the player of the winning team Shaheen Afridi played an amazing match in the final, he scored 44 runs in just 15 balls and took 4 wickets as well. May be this was one of his remarkable matches till today.

200 is a big target on Lahore track but Multan Sultans chased it well. After 10 overs of Multan batting the game was very much in favour of Multan. Rilee Rossouw played his part but Pollard and Tim David failed to produce runs when they were most required. PSL 8 is now officially over and it produced some outstanding games. There were few names that are going in T20I series to be played against Afghanistan like Ihsanullah, Usama Mir and few more.

Although 24 hours have passed by the final, but the memories of this final is still fresh in my mind. Even though I have watched the match live on TV yesterday, i have watched the highlights a few times.
In the last 3 overs, Multan needed almost 40 runs but then the 19th over produced 22 runs, and the balance of the game shifted in favor of Multan. But that last over was bowled by Zaman and he will remember that for the rest of his life that he managed to defend the target.
I was hoping that Multan wins. But it never happened. Everytime I support a team they loose.
You are right the match is still on the mind. It was the match well played. Both the teams gave their best. the young boy have given their best hoping for a chance in international cricket - but most of the time it wont happen - but PSL is not a bad option either for the emerging talent

What an amazing final we had yesterday between the two best sides Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultan. A win by one run shows how competitive was the match. It was a dream final anyone could have wished for.

A night that we can't forget for a long long time.

As promised, Some of the post and pre-event highlights are below.

Lahore Qalandars beat Multan Sultans in first match of PSL 8 by one run and they did the same in last game of PSL 8. The match was open for both teams till 120th ball. Abbas Afridi did his best along with Kushdil but they were not able to score 4 runs on last ball. If Kushdil had hit a boundary on last ball then I am sure he will be recalled in Natioanl squad.

I love hearing stories like this! It is amazing to see the level of talent and dedication of these players. It must have been an intense match both teams gave it their all. Although Kushdal did not quite hit that last boundary I am sure he will continue to work hard and hone his skills. Who know maybe he will get another chance to make the national squad in the future. Either way it is clear that he is a talented player who gave it his all in this match.
Khushdil tried his best and really scored good ad compared to his regular pace  and along with him Abbas Afridi did good too but lahore Qalandars got lucky with zaman Khan he literally controlled and stopped runs in last overs otherwise 13 runs in last overs is not a big task .

Pakistan Super League - Season 8 Final won by Lahore Qalandars by 1 run
Ohhh my goodness!!! Only 1 run !! What's an extraordinary innings for Multan Sultan!! Bad luck for Khushdil Shah and Abbas Afridi. Both  are trying the best to win the match but bad luck for MS and all followers of Multan Sultan.
I am a Bangladeshi yet I am a supporter of Multan Sultan. It hurt me a lot to lose to Lahore Qalandar in today's match but in the final I wish Lahore Qalandar the best of luck. The joy that today's match gave will never be forgotten.
There is no doubt this was one of the best final in PSL history as both well-balanced teams fights hard until last ball and better team won the match I agreed here Shaheen Afridi is the hero as he turns the tables for the Qalandars in last four overs and smashed 44 runs on just 15 balls after this having 3 wickets in one over change the match momentum into their favor.

Wow, what an incredible game! Congratulations to Lahore Qalandars for their winning by just 1 run over Multan Sultans in the HBL PSL 8 final. Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, was truly exceptional and his performance was nothing less than extraordinary. It was amazing to see Shaheen Afridi show his skill not just as a bowler, but as a batsman too, leading his team to victory. He displayed great courage by coming in before David Wiese and playing an incredible innings. Truly, he emerged as hero of the PSL final.

Congratulations once again to Lahore Qalandars, and hard luck to Multan Sultans. This final showcased the hallmarks of Pakistan cricket, featuring drama, melodrama, uncertainty, and excitement - it was an absolute roller coaster ride from start to finish! This is why the PSL is considered one of the best leagues in the world.
An interesting final indeed at one point game totally went out if Lahore Qalandars hand after harus Rauf over but thanks to zaman Khan for keeping the game alive for Qalandars.
Incredible game played by Multan Sultans too and they lost by just 1 run , khushdil Shah almost chases the target.

To be honest, it was a heart wrenching final for the Multan team as they felt heart break after coming so close to win the match but yet so far. How sad it is for a team to lose a final match by one run. You can call them extremely unfortunate.

BTW, the big news is that Najam Sethi is proposing to expand the number of franchises in the PSL to 8. That means that two new franchises will be added to the league in the next few years. Owners of the existing franchises are not quite happy about this, as they are worried that it will further dilute the revenues that they are receiving. Also, there is an agreement between Rameez Raja (when he was the PCB chief) and the franchise owners, which limited number of teams to 6 till 2025. Sethi says that he will be able to convince the franchises.

Do you think increasing the number of franchises will do any good to the league? It will only create more matches and people may lose interest if there are too many leagues with too many matches. I would suggest them to keep with only six teams and if other leagues want to join, they may have competition with the last 2 teams (Karachi and Quetta in this case) and if they can beat them in PSL qualifiers they may eliminate them to join the 2024 PSL. That's my suggestion.
If the number of matches increases, the quality of the game will also be questioned. A different image appears in the viewer's mind. As the franchises grow, the number of matches will naturally increase. But the way PSL 2023 has managed this season, it won't be bad if they manage in this way 2024 as well. But its organizing committee may think differently. In this regard if they get any financial advantages, they can take that according to their convenience.
