What an exciting match going on, 11 runs required on 14 balls. Shaheen and Waise are batting at the moment. Peshawar zalmi have done the hard work by picking 6 wickets. Mohammad Haris scored 85 runs on 54 balls and will be hero if Zalmi win the match today. For Lahore things look quite easy if they keep picking singles and don't lose wickets.

I also expect 200 around from Peshawer because the way they start the inning with a runrate of 10 it's easy from them to hit required target, but as you know that Lahore pitch is completely bowler supporting while also they have world class batter so it's fair so score a target of 171 against them. After first inning Haris the performer told that it's was my good luck to get some bad ball through which I hit shot but honestly it's too tough pitch because bowl seam to while also reverse too , so through such a kind of pitch Peshawer Zalmi will easily defend that target. Now let's see how Peshawer bowler can defend it

He scored 66 runs off 38 balls. Which is much better performance than Babar Azam. Peshawar Zalmi today again is looking good and has batted well till now. Although the scoring rate is now less but they started the innings very aggressively. The score is now 137 for 3 and it will be interesting to know what target they can give to Lahore Qalandars.

Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bat against Lahore Qalandars in the second eliminator match. The team that wins today's match will directly take on Multan Sultan in the final. Lahore Qalandars lost the first qualifier match against Multan Sultans but they are getting this second chance today as they are at the top position of the points table. Hope Lahore Qalandars take advantage of this opportunity. But today's game will be between the best and the best with two teams desperate for the final. No team will want to discount any team because if they make a mistake their finals dream is over so today's game will be a very crowded game.

This is a do or die match for Lahore and for me this may be the most important match in the PSL. I am supporting my home team Lahore Qalandars and I really want them to reach the finals.
Ideally, Lahore Qalandars are not good at chasing the runs but unfortunately, Shaheen Afridi lost the toss today and Babar Azam rightly decided to bat first.
Anyways, Lahore Qaladars must restrict Peshawar Zalmi to 160 or less runs so that the pressure does not pile up on them when they come to chase later in the evening.
By the way, we had some showers in the day and the weather is cool and ideal for playing and also watching cricket in the stadium.

Islamabad United are considered favorites to win as they have played fairly well in previous matches. But Peshawar Zalmi is not a very weak team so if they play a bit better they are also likely to win. So in the match we will see a good games and one team will be seen to win by a very small margin. Both teams are capable of scoring 150 runs so it looks like both teams will score above 150.
So you are considering Islamabad united to be the favorite team but Babar Azam from Peshawar Zalmi is taking the game away from Islamabad United. Babar Azam has scored 49 runs in only 27 balls and is still not out in the match. Remember this is an eliminator match and one big inning by a player can be a game changer for the team.
Islamabad united should get few quick wickets right now otherwise Peshawar Zalmi are on its way to 200 runs. Remember chasing is always going to be challenging in a knockout match.

At one time when Alex Hales and Sohaib Maqsood were batting, it seems that Islamabad united will easily chase this total but this was not the case. As soon as Sohaib Maqsood was out in the 14th over, they lost quick wickets and lost the game eventually. At one time the score was 127/1 and it seems that no one can stop Islamabad from winning.
Salman Irshad and Aamer Jamal bowled really well, they took 2 wickets each but more importantly gave very few runs in their 4 overs each.
Azam Khan, faheem Ashraf both didn't score any runs and all were bowled , brilliant bowling by jamal and salman irshad.
Yeah.. we need to say bye-bye to Islamabad United. As usual, bowling proved to be their weak point this season as well. I don't have anything against players like Fazalhaq Farooqi, Faheem Ashraf and Shadab Khan. But they are not exactly world class like Rashid Khan or Shaheen Shah Afridi. Maybe for the next season they can get at least one more experienced pacer/spinner, in addition to Hasan Ali. By the way, Hasan Ali himself performed quite poorly this season. Picked up 13 wickets, but that cost him (and his team) 9.3 runs per over.
Shadab Khan has been named as T20 captain for upcoming series against Afghanistan. Don't know what PCB new management saw in him for captaincy and Faheem Ashraf too is in squad. Pakistan team is the one who is totally inclined itself towards T20 with no respect for Test and ODI. Right now there is hardly any test player available that can play and score runs in test.

Islamabad United crashed out of PSL 2023 with a 12-run defeat to Peshawar Zalmi. Although 184 runs was the target, Islamabad United did not succeed in chasing that target level in the end. But Babar Azam's test is not over yet, they need to win against Peshawar Zalmi in the second qualifier to confirm the final. Peshawar Zalmi already lost in the first qualifier against Multan Sultan they will definitely go for a win in this match today.
