Quetta Gladiators lost another match and they stand at the bottom of the points table. They have placed four matches and lost four of them. Another team that has done the same and won only 1 match is Karachi kings. Seeing the performances of both the teams, it seems that both of them will finish at fifth and sixth position and will not be able to qualify for the knockout round of the tournament.

Quetta Gladiators can't seem to come back, their batting and bowling line-up are both going bad and there is no improvement. I don't think the next round of Pakistan Super League is for them this time. But they can reduce their pressure somewhat through full team work as many matches have seen that only a few specific pairs are performing and the rest have not been able to perform that well.

The performance of Quetta was very poor yesterday.
It was obvious that they are going to loose - however Islamabad United showed immense strength. Sarfraz managed to score 40 runs.

I just checked the tournament schedule and found there is no match to be played today. I don't know why do we need a break in this tournament especially when there is only one match per day. Also today is Saturday and we can we could have expected more crowds in the stadiums but there the management has decided not to please any match on the weekend that is a really strange schedule in my opinion.

Anyhow tomorrow we will have two matches, the first match will start at 2:00 p.m. local time and it will be between Karachi kings and Multan sultan.
The second match will start at the usual 7:00 p.m. local time and it will be between Lahore qalandar and Peshawar zalmi. I will check for the odds and will come back to inform you if there are interesting odds for tomorrow's matches.

They both have partnership of 98 runs between them. Both Hasnain and Naseem are good pace bowlers but somehow in this PSL they are not clicking. Meanwhile there is strong competition between Karachi and Quetta for number 6th position.

Islamabad United team is doing great performance. Especially in today's match, the strength of the native players was the highest.
Azam Khan and Asif Ali both contributed greatly in today's match. However, there is no chance to underestimate Faheem Ashraf as well, he is unbeaten with 17 runs from 6 balls. Islamabad United's set a target of 220 runs and the opposition Quetta Gladiators lost all their wickets for just 157 runs. Their performance treat as a weak team at this tournament and can be easily guessed by looking at the points table.

When Islamabad United gave a huge target of 220 runs from that moment it was quiet obvious that Quetta Gladiators will have difficulty in chasing this target.

The required run rate is 18 how ever the Qladittors are taking it on 8 per over.
To win Gladiators need 94 off 30 ball - the target is not achievable - but sarfraz is still on the field.

Quetta Gladiators are 108 - 4 at 12.3 = They need 111 off 44 balls the target is very difficult to achieve

sarfraz is still on the field - he is 27/25 on the other hand Iftikahar is at 01 run.
They are now playing with extreme care. But Quetta is going to loose the match - this is for sure.

Tom Curran father used to play international cricket for Zimbabwe, and Tom is now playing for England. There is quite a decent number of foreign players involved in PSL 8.
Muhammad Hasnain has picked 2 wikcets so far and is a bit expensive in his 3rd over. In his 3rd over, he gave away 22 runs. Islamabad United will score somewhere around 200 as Azam Khan is batting lethal at the moment.

Islamabad united scored 116 runs in 14 overs and we have a STRATEGIC TIMEOUT right now. What Islamabad be thinking at this point in time is that Azam Khan and Asif Ali (who are playing well at the moment) to remain not out for the most part of the remaining 6 overs and score at least 10 an over which may lead them to 176 runs which is a good total in my point of view.

Islamabad united did not start the innings well but the good thing about T20 is that even if some players score a quick runs in the later part of the innings, the batting team still gets a good score.

Raza and Talat had made striking performance at the end. From the beginning itself every player had contributed for their part, which is perfect team effort. Altogether it had reached good target. From the bowling end David Wiese and Shaheen Afridi took 3 wickets each with the economy 5.75 and 5.50 runs per over which is good in T-20 cricket.

Islamabad United really benefitted from their power-packed top order yesterday. Peshawar Zalmi bowlers were unable to contain Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Rassie van der Dussen, although Colin Munro fell early during the chase. Zalmi do have experienced bowlers (Wahab Riaz, Usman Qadir and James Neesham), but were unable to stem the flow of runs. BTW, it is good to see Tom Curran bowling in the PSL. He has become one of the most sought after bowlers in franchise T20 and recently had an excellent stint with Desert Vipers in the International League T20.
