With the win yesterday, Islamabad United got themselves to the second position in points table for the Pakistan Super League (PSL). However, there is still a large gap with Multan Sultans, who have 12 points from 8 matches. Three teams (Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi) have 9 points each, while Qalandars are at the bottom with just 3 points from 8 matches. 6 more matches remain in the group phase, and after that the knockout phase will start. Karachi needs to work really hard if they want to qualify. 

Match 24 Islamabad United Vs Karachi Kings
KK want to win this match to secure a 3rd position in a group and previous match victory against Quetta also gel this team together and want to continue this winning streak but on other hand IU is in very crucial stage they do not want to lose their remaining two games.
Once again we hope IU took advantage of their home ground.
Lets hope for the best but now onwards PSL9 entre in a very interesting phase where bottom 2 teams fight for their survival to be in PSL9 and try to play eliminators.

It was the strong bowling lineup of Lahore Qalandars due to which they were able to have their first win in this PSL. I wonder why they were not so successful in the earlier matches of this tournament 



Zaman, van der Dussen, Afridi help Qalandars end losing streak. The man of the match was Rassie van der Dussen who scored 64 runs in 44 balls. However, I thought that Zaman Khan 4 wickets played a more vital role in this victory. 162 runs target was not that difficult, wasn't it the bowlers who made this target difficult for Islamabad United 
Anyway it was big blow for the Islamabad United team as they are on the fourth spot and they need that win to secure their place. Now they can't afford to lose the next match.

Islamabad United team won toss and they decided to give a first batting chance to Lahore Qalandar team. This game was played on Rawalpindi Stadium and also lucky for Lucky for Lahore Qalandar team. Lahore Qalandar team set 162 runs in 20 overs by losing 7 wickets and this target was enough to win and Islamabad United team was failed to chase this target and lose this game by 17 runs. R.Dusseb in this game was won player of game award by scoring 64 runs in 44 balls with four 4s and four 6s. Z.Khan also played well from bowling side and he took down 4 wickets in 3.5 overs with 37 runs.

Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars have been out from his PSL. Now, the only four teams will qualify and these teams names are Quetta, Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, and Multan Sultans.
Lahore Qalandars is out from PSL as Lahore needed points more than 7 while they had just a point, and in the three matches, if they won it so they can do 7 points but at the same time, Islamabad United also had matches and United are very strong team so now Lahore chance is zero, yes but if a miracle happen and Lahore won their all matches and Islamabad United will lose their all matches so maybe we can see them at final of Knockouts.

You have seen Lahore Qalandar's explanation in the last part but also Karachi Kings lost this PSL. This is the first PSL where Karachi Kings has the worst squad ever. They have no player in the Karachi Kings team who plays in the Pakistan cricket team without Shan Masood and he is playing only test matches because by chance he becomes the captain of the Pakistan test cricket team and on that test match, the poorest performance he has in that test.
He played well at the tour match but they had to need a victory on the test series, and with this type of useless players cannot give points to Karachi Kings and if by chance they come to Semi-final so they will lose it for sure.

Karachi Kings pulled off a shocker in today's match, defeating Quetta Gladiator who are second in the points table. Many people bet in favor of Quetta Gladiator team but they performed badly from the start. And from the beginning losing wickets to the last, the team was under the pressure of wickets and collected only 118 runs. Quetta Gladiator team. However, Karachi Kings team performed very well in the last moment, Hasan Ali of Karachi Kings team played the best role in today's victory. He gave the best bowling performance.

Lahore Qalandars have a golden chance to win today's match against Islamabad United. The way Lahore Qalandar kept Islamabad United's batting from the start today if they can maintain this good ball in the end they will win this match without hesitation. Lahore Qalandars may be the only team who are yet to win a single match in the 2024 Pakistan Super League season and may end their streak with a win in today's match. As Lahore Qalandars have lost every match many are pointing fingers at their team captain.

If Islamabad United want to win today's match they need 64 balls 106 they have only four wickets but it is difficult for them at the moment. On the other hand if Lahore Qalandar want to win today's match they need four wickets and they will win as fast as they can pick up four wickets.

Lahore Qalandar vs Islamabad United

Islamabad United won the toss and decided to bowl first, a bad decision because at night it was difficult to chase down the target. Lahore Qalandar scored 162 runs in a loss of 7 wickets in the first inning of the match. Islamabad United lost his 5 wickets in just 38 runs in the first 6 overs of the match. From Lahore qalandar Zaman Khan picked 2 important wickets and Shaheen Shah Afridi picked 1 wicket and controlled the match. Islamabad United needs 125 runs from the remaining 14 overs of the match to win this match but it seems very difficult for Islamabad United.

Every win is important now as it will decide the fate of the teams on where they are placed on the points table. As you know, in PSL the team who has the first position in the point table can play the Semi-final two times. First, the team that has the number 1 position so if that team loses the first Semi-final then the second Semi-final winner will again play the match between the loser of the first Semi-final match if the loser has first position.

I hope you have understood so at this time, Multan Sultan has the highest rank but Quetta and Peshawar Zalmi can also get this rank if Multan Sultan loses their all match and also Quetta so Peshawar Zalmi can do otherwise if Quetta needs to come so no matter Multan Sultan will win their all matches or Peshawar Zalmi but they should need to win all their remaining four matches. They can come at the first position without any dependence.

Yesterday another fact became clear that in this PSL, there is only one team that can beat Multan Sultans two times, otherwise instant of Peshawar Zalmi there are 5 teams still left that have competition with them 2 times but Peshawar Zalmi the only team who can beat them. If Peshawar Zalmi wins against Multan Sultans wasn't happened then Multan Sultans could have been an unbeatable team until this time but not to be.
After this victory, Peshawar Zalmi got third position at the point table. By the way, in the stadium, we can see a lot of fans of Peshawar Zalmi while other franchises have just a small amount of fans. Peshawar Zalmi rose again because of the legend Babar Azam.

Match 23 Islamabad United Vs Lahore Qalandars
LQ again came into the ground in search of victory as they knew they were out of the race of PSL9 and now they just tried to play their remaining matches and won it by ending their season in a good way.
On the other side, IU wants to win this game to be in the top 3 and try to secure themselves for a Qualifiers. IU has the advantage of playing at their home ground and surely they will take that on their side as well.
Now let's watch the next and last match of the day and hope it's a good game of cricket at Pindi stadium.

What a comprehensive win by Kk they completely shattered the QG in batting and bowling chased the target in 3 wickets and won a good game. Hassan Ali with very good bowling called for MAN OF THE MATCH and the losing momentum of KK stopped now it's a good sign for the KK team and fans.

Karachi Kings vs Quetta Gladiators two teams have come to the field to play today's match in Pakistan Super League. Quetta Gladiators team came to bat and scored 118 runs in 19.1 overs.  Kings team.Now Karachi Kings team came to bat.They scored 69 runs for 2 wickets in 10.2 overs.Karachi Kings team needed 49 runs from 57 balls to win the match.

Karachi Kings might win today's match, as they bundled out Quetta Gladiators for just 118 runs. Tim Seifert and Shan Masood have started well for Karachi, and they may improve their NRR as well in addition to winning the match today. BTW, it was a horrible performance from the Gladiators. Hasan Ali was simply unplayable, as he returned figures of 4-0-15-4. He got the important wickets of Saud Shakeel, Khawaja Nafay and two other lower order batsmen. Blessing Muzarabani and Zahid Mahmood also offered good support.

I am sure that the Pakistani selectors have noted down the performance from Hasan Ali. T20 World Cup is not far away.   

Pakistan Super League 22nd match started today, in this match Quetta Gladiator team started batting even though Karachi Kings team won the toss. But the Karachi Kings team changed their mind, and they decided to bowl, they would basically play with the target. Jason Roy, the reliable batsman in this match, got out with only a few runs. So the current partnership formed by Saud Shakeel and khawaja Nafay, if these two can perform well, surely the Quetta Gladiator team can win, if they can score at least 170 to 80 runs, there is a chance of winning.

Double Header Today

Match 22 Quetta Gladiators vs Karachi Kings
QG team is very much balanced in terms of batting and bowling and also stands 2nd in the points table, today win put up a tag of Qualified on the QG team.
On the other side, KK needs to win this match and also wants to stay and fight for qualifications. Big Pollard is back in the team and this will give good strength to the KK side.

I think it's an easy game for QG to win and they will easily win this match.

After winning this match Peshawar Zalmi is on 3rd position on point table of PSL with 9 points. Peshawar Zalmi batted first and scored a big total 204 runs. Babar Azam and Saim Ayub played an important role in scoring a big total for Multan Sultans. Haseebullah Khan also battled well scoring 31 runs from just 20 balls. From Multan Usama Mir picked 3 crucial wickets and Chris Jordan also picked 2 wickets but Peshawar Zalmi batters punshied every bowler.
Multan Sultans were very close to chasing the target but failed by a few runs, Iftikhar Ahmed played an aggressive innings but didn't win a match for his team. Aamir Jamal bowled well picked 2 wickets and helped to win Peshawar Zalmi.

No doubt Peshawar Zalmi looked favorite in most of the match but from the Multan Sultan team Iftikhar Ahmed's 60 in only 27 balls gave them the real hope but in vain. 23 runs were needed by the Multan team in the last over. Salman Irshad gave an expensive last over of 19 runs and Multan Sultan found themselves short of only 4 runs.



With this win, Peshawar Zalmi have moved up to the third position and they are very much in the race for this PSL 9 but still, they need to win the remaining of their matches in order for them to be sure to reach the knockouts. Both Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi have a similar 9 points but the major advantage that Quetta Gladiators has is that they have played only 6 matches while Peshawar Zalmi had already played 8 of their matches.

What a game of cricket we see today a last-over win by Zalmi boosted their morale well over by Naveen and Salman but what a batting by Ifti Mania he showed real class and power in his hitting but MS was just 4 runs short of a thriller victory.
What a thriller encounter, it was a good game of cricket and that's why we love this sport, especially T20.

Zalmis are favourite at this moment because Sultans need 71 runs in 24 balls with 5 wickets in hand. If Zalmi win today then they will defiantly retain this winning combination for next game. The strength of PZ is in there opening pair i.e. Saim Ayub and Babar Azam. Today they both gave a brilliant start and rest of batting took full advantage of that 84 runs. It's a huge win for Zalmi and this will boost there confidence for upcoming matches.
