Yes, we have seen how the impact of a pandemic on the economy, not only on the economy in a country but also on the global economy. This does not mean that people lose their jobs but also the number of companies that have closed, went bankrupt, or lost a lot of profits during this pandemic. And it can't wait until the pandemic ends before we move on. Even now, many companies have changed their plans and progress. Part of it remains with them. however, some are beginning to adapt to this pandemic. And they are the ones who are successful in the survival of this pandemic.

We have seen a lot of companies changing procedures and implementing more radical ways of doing their work.
Businesses have adopted new processes and technologies—and there are signs that they may pay off in the future. The pandemic and COVID-19 era could give a rapid productivity growth after the vaccination of the global population is going to end or reach a significant percentage.

Remote working and new systems that help companies being better organized are what businesses struggled a lot to adopt in the beginning of the pandemic. Now this kind of investment is going to pay off.

My company made a huge investment in adopting systems such as remote meeting places, cloud systems that help organizing documents and a way of eliminating paperwork... I believe that this is going to increase the productivity of the employees especially if those go back to work.

Have you seen any changes in your working environment like these?
Although there are alternatives such as integration of digitals in jobs. There is no assurance that pandemic will bring positivity in economuc in a long run. We can still deny the fact that pandemic made the countries disrupted in terms of economic. Works in labors and other induatries forced to stop during lockdowns and employees are still hanging up when they will start again. It might be an advantage for the employees who can work from home but not all are beneficial from pandemic. Let us all hope that this pandemic will stop and normal days will come again.

One of the positive things due to the effects of the corona virus is forcing humans to immediately switch to digital.
Because utilizing digital technology to carry out activities has proven effective in preventing the spread of the corona virus.
Regarding the work environment in my country, it can be said that it has changed drastically. Because everything started to
be done online, I still work from home until now. But by taking advantage of digital technology, many companies are starting
to run normally. This will bring good changes to the economy, and most importantly several vaccines have already started in
production. So this pandemic could end soon.

The pandemic could be a blessing to some companies which 90% of their activities are operated online and could also be a curse to businesses/companies that operate in person just like we see in aviation. However, before the situation of pandemic happen a lot of companies have cut their manpower and make use of bot/robot to adopt new procedure so i don't see the pandemic as the thing that open business owners see to adoption of new procedures but the pandemic does open the eyes of people to new possibilities.

Pandemic has shattered the economic situation around the globe. The impact is being felt upon the individuals and over all class of people. To overcome the same people struggled, as everything happened within a very short time period. Now people have learned better out of the pandemic. This has made people to be better than before in terms of investments, savings and living standards. During the pandemic more entrepreneurs have got emerged, which also plays big role in the economic progress in the long term.
Yeah we got new entrepreneurs but I honestly feel more businesses were closed than the new ones opened due to the lack of of funding and financial crisis among small scale industries.

We might have got new payments methods like people above said digital payments and cashless transactions but frankly speaking the only way this digitalization is going to work, is by means of adequate education.

Often I feel like we get carried away by new technologies and digitalization because not everything that is being done digitally is great and not every physical activity is poor.

If we could see more companies going more remote and we see them go more digital, we are probably going to actually see a world that is cheaper as well.

I have always said the same thing and I will keep saying that forever, we do not need to make people richer, we need to make things cheaper, that is the way we could get away from this trouble in economy because if we keep giving people more and more money, that means things will cost more and more as well and when someone doesn't make enough money they will be too poor to continue surviving, whereas if we make things cheaper, we are giving even the poorest people in the world a chance to survive.

This digital world could make that happen, things could cost a lot less and that is why I think it is vitally important to realize the importance of digital world not only helping companies but workers too.

I couldn't agree more however if things back to normal maybe economic will be not that long since vaccine has already sent out to those countries who's really needed it, the real problem now is how the Government will react after done it? It is all in their government on how they will manage back their economic when things are better, since if businesses and big companies will operate again it is not that hard for them to build up again since other employees are working from home.

Huge and even smal businesses nowadays have learned how to adjust just to deal with the pandemic situation right now. They have considered the situation of customers as well as the welfare of their employees by adopting the changes by switching from mostly physical through online transactions. It helped the economy recover and survive and it's a good thing that we're all starting to adopt and see it as a normal thing.
The problem is that while they adopted new methods but now as things are coming back to normal they are actually going back to the normal work module.  There are companies who are calling back their employees to work from office as they used to work from home, now they feel like added pressure and I am not against working from home or office but it tells us that the newly adopted methods were only temporary and the new approaches made were only forced instead of adopted.

The real change will come when these companies and the employees take initiative and bring these new work module in work without any condition or situation forcing them.

Its really notable that some companies did expect things to happen this way and their response are really commendable. They are willing to create a system in which their workers would have a safe environment to work and be worry free of the ongoing pandemic. This type of things would really boost the credibility of the companies that are doing the necessary steps to keep their company alive.

The pandemic made people adjust to different ways that are much efficient and safer while we are still facing the threat of the virus. The good thing about these changes is we saw other alternatives that we can still continue to adopt even after the pandemic because of its convenience. And thanks to technology, the economy can still continue to function even when there's a crisis. Though there are some limitations since it does not apply to everyone, some employees find it practical when the nature of their job can be done through remote working.

It is hard to believe that we will all have to compete with robot  Grin

That is the fact, humans will never be satisfied with what has been achieved today. AI that is created by humans often presents challenges to humans themselves. Providing efficiency or maintaining old traditions. The pandemic provides an opportunity for AI to take over some human jobs. Even at the end of this pandemic, it could accelerate AI to exist and compete with humans. In the next 10 years there will be many types of human work that are lost and replaced by AI, if we don't repair and upgrade ourselves, it is very possible that you will not be able to compete with the results of human creation itself.
Today we do not live in a very easy time, because in one way or another vulnerable groups of the population suffer, which are already on the brink of survival, since social guarantees are very weak, and salaries are not always enough even to pay for utilities. In this case, high technologies can also harm these people, since it is High technologies that will replace these people who are in a difficult situation today. The world will undoubtedly succeed in improving production technologies, but how will the daily problem of millions of people be solved?

I have seen similar behaviour at my workplace. In the last 6 months management, closed down a hole floor of office space. Instead of having a fixed desk now, we switched to a more mobile version, where everyone is sharing the desk. Since most people are working from home these days, we are only 1 day per week in the office and then switch around the desks.
That is happening in many companies and offices because they must follow the health protocols.
Maybe that is the only way we can do this pandemic, but I am sure that future situations will not be the same.
We need to follow the government's suggestion for our safety, and maybe there are benefits that we can get behind this.
But I think in some places, while they follow the health protocols, they can back to their office, but they still need to have distance between the other employees.
These changes happened in the government office.
People need to queue and wait for a while to get services from the officers.

I don't know if you have read about AI and robotics. Maybe this article will help you https://time.com/5876604/machines-jobs-coronavirus/ . the pandemic has open way for exploration of other means through which work can be done with little or no human especially in some areas that can afford to lose workers due to amount spend out of the workplace. Giant companies are now exploring the possibility of robots to replace human work force in order to reduce downtime. The disadvantage of this is that unemployment will increase why to this company the robot can do much work with more precision than human. It is hard to believe that we will all have to compete with robot  Grin

I figured we'd be almost back to normal life by now, but in the US at least it looks like everyone is freaking out even more about COVID-19.  There have been several local businesses that have closed for days--and for unknown reasons.  Masks are starting to be enforced in stores, and people are getting really salty.
back to normal!! It is true.. In my country, COVID-19 is not even feared anymore, many people even say "does Covid-19 exist?".  Many citizens are no longer wearing masks and government enforcement of health protocols is loosening..

Whatever the pandemic brings, I'm just hoping there's an end to it soon.  No country can afford to keep locking businesses down; it'll cripple any economy, and fast.  The good news is that the vaccine is being manufactured and distributed (last I heard in the UK), so hopefully that will ease people's fears.  Long live bitcoin, death to COVID-19!!
the news about vaccines is a very hot topic at the moment.  hopefully, it won't have long-term side effects on the human body..
I don't know where you belongs to. In my country, the affected and died people are equally increasing gradually. Nowadays people can't maintain lockdown because of their daily needs. For economic purposes, government can't be strict more.

After the pandemic situation, the another economic revolution will come hopefully. Because people are waiting for this moment when the vaccine will vanish it

Companies that have switched to digital in this pandemic will experience an increase in sales volume. Because now more people are applying physical distancing during Covid-19. Companies are moving from the traditional way to this digital way, of course initially because there is an emphasis from pandemics. It requires every company to make innovative new breakthroughs, in order to remain productive. And workers can still make money to maintain life, despite the application of physical distancing, but they can work from their own homes. This advantage saves more cost, effort and time.
That’s how ultimately today we’ve seen a lot of companies changing procedures and implementing digital ways in their businesses.

What I am really excited about is the fact that remote work is seen as something totally doable right now, and that is something marvelous because if we can manage to keep people at their homes and work from there for many jobs in the world that can be like that, we could actually have a lot happier world as well, and probably less expense too, and less transportation.

These are all amazing advancements in the world that could make things a lot better. Obviously we have seen companies recalling people right away to work just as the laws allowed in many nations, which shows that even though we have managed months without going to work without a problem, CEO's still do not get it, they are still idiotic old dinosaurs that wants it their way, but with younger people getting management positions, I think we could probably get better.
