Great stats..

So correct me if i'm wrong, but if the bitcoin market cap hit 33 Trillion (which is all those countries M1 put together) then we could assume that every single fiat dollar has been exchanged/discarded from every country in the world and transferred into Bitcoin.   How does that work? Someone has to be left holding a very big bag of fiat? sucks to be them!

Based on Bitcoins eventual 21 Million, that would equal a price of $1.5Mil per bitcoin.

You mean roughly 1 satoshi per Dollar-Cent? It's as if Nakamoto had planned this in advance Wink

That is remarkable.

lol GROUP BUY!!
Aruba looks nice

come back in a year and buy a country YaY!! Grin

I don't think we can stop this nonsense, it's just too appealing to "buy an island".

The value of a country is much higher than the M1 money supply floating around in it.

Hmm, it would be interesting to see the parity between the highest amount of BTC in one address and wether or not they can yet buy a country.

111111 BTC * 75.6 = ~$4 million.

Montserrat: $ 16,170,000
We're talking about the money supply of various countries though, not what it would take to buy a country.

What about a gradient representation?

Have a horizontal gradient bar representing the spread of M1 for all countries, shaded from pale grey (some color) on the left - representing Djibouti - to red (some contrasting color) on the right - representing the US.

Then put a movable, sliding black line representing bitcoin wherever it goes on that scaled horizontal bar, with a little pop-up balloon that compares the M1 of the countries immediately to the left and right, to the BTC market cap?

Do it in Log Scale so bitcoin doesn't look too pathetic.

Am I making sense?

EDIT:  Silly me.  Not "...a movable, sliding black line representing bitcoin..." - but rather a little gold bitcoin coin logo...

EDIT #2:  Maybe a bitcoin coin logo with a pie slice facing to the right, like a PacMan guy?  Grin

Remember this...  I'm working with a 3 inch 4 inch type sized screen.

You're talking at maximum 2-3 buttons or links.

I need a design idea that would get the message across but doesn't take up the whole screen.

Remember .. 99.99999% of the people that download Either the Ounce.Me Free or the Ounce.Me Paid are doing it solely for the spot price of Bitcoin (or Gold, Silver, etc).

The more metrics I throw in it, the more it will get detracted from it's core business..  so I am 10000% open to adding it,  I just need your help on how to add it without messing up the core design and purpose.

You guys need to download this at least:

Ounce.Me Free
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.btc.ounce.me

Ounce.Me Paid
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bitcoin.ounce.me.paid

Both are identical in terms of information, but since ounce.me paid has zero advertising, there is slightly more room.

The M1 of Cyprus is about $ 15 billion, which is also roughly the global physical demand for silver http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_as_an_investment , so I think it would be a great landmark.
