I don't think there is any airlines that accept bitcoin as payments for the moment, but I do remember seeing someone posted on this forum that they are acting on behalf of travel agency which they can issue air tickets or hotels vouchers to customers for payment in bitcoin, but as bitcoin payment is irreversible once it is sent, it would be better to verify the seller as legit and trusted before sending the bitcoins to them.
That’s nice piece of advice, dude. It should be made sure that these services are offered by trust-able people and obtaining older customers’ reviews will also be really helpful. The usage of bitcoins by airlines is not common yet. But soon will be offered.

I think traveling with bitcoin is a btc fun for btc and for btc people like me. It's like managing btc coin and making it friendly to everyone. As far as I know, one can travel bitcoin in some countries like Japan, Arabia. That's good news for bitc.

What will you get by buying your airplane ticket with bitcoin everyone on forum are saying don't sell your bitcoins just hold it the price will increase in future and stuff but what are you doing by using bitcoin in a coffee shop or buying a airplane ticket just selling your bitcoins and doing that wouldn't make you great like how that guy felt by buying pizza with bitcoins. Seriously man why do you want to bitcoin as fiat just keep it like a investment.

I don't see any problem about bitcoin used in such things, it is a digital currency. As a currency online, it is inevitable that it may be used for this payment, there are news about bitcoin being used in reserving rooms on a hotel or paying tickets for an airplane.

In the future it will be used in many offline transactions where wifi or bluetooth are just the needed connections to make it happen. Whether it will be happening or not, we all know that the idea will be surging in their minds.

Hello guys!

I just want to ask if there's an existing offer already that accepts bitcoins by purchasing airline tickets to a specific destination? I'm an adventure type of guy, just finished my vacation last Monday. I usually travel like 3 to 4 times a year locally by plane.

Any thoughts on this guys? Thanks in advance.
Yes. You can buy air tickets by bitcoin. Currently, this ticket purchase has been accepted in some countries and has its own website, as in Japan.

No wonder that Japan is the first airline that accepts bitcoin.  Maybe there would be some additional charge because of course the government would not allow that there would be no tax.  Terminal fee maybe paid with cash.  But atleast having some country that accepts bitcoin as airline fare would be a start for other countries to include bitcoin as a mode of payment for airfare.
Exactly! Japan has taken this initiative of selling airline tickets for bitcoins. Bitcoins have strongly attracted big companies and business. That day is not far away, when the whole world would be accepting bitcoins for trading, selling and buying, travelling etc. At present, except for Japanese airline, no one is accepting them though.

Only Japan is accepting airline tickets with bitcoin. So its obvious because they have legalized it. However, I don't know about any other airlines that accepting it. Maybe we can see it happen once bitcoin is globally adopted. It will be really nice to see this, hassle free. I just hope it will not be exploited by terrorist though.

I do not think there is a way to pay for airline tickets with bitcoin. As it is known, bitcoin is not famous yet worldwide. Even companies are still not recognizing bitcoin. I think the recognition of bitcoin will come within years. Therefore, many company will know about bitcoin and it will included as a payment method either for airline tickets or any other thing.

I doubt the United States of America will accept this.  We have a sore spot ever since 9-11 and they basically make us strip naked and show every thing we have owned since slchildhood to get on a plane.  Well it's not as bad as I make it sound but they are extremely strict to board flights and I doubt Bitcoin is acceptable because it's difficult to know where the funds originate.

Seem, i've heard about this, i'm not sure...  If I remember correctly, it was a Japanese airline that accepted btc. Please be assured that in the future in the next few years there will be many airlines using such btc, not only that,  many other services will also use btc in the transaction and of course not only in the United States or Japanese but in many parts of the world. I think it is inevitable. ..

As far as I know, at present, in some parts of the world, bitcoin has been accepted as an official currency, it can be used for life, so if you want to buy bitcoin airfare I think it is very feasible.

I believe there is/are. Days ago, I have read a thread in this forum that the airline in Japan started accepting Bitcoin as payment. This is their way of utilizing Bitcoin, to accept it in different line of business. I am not certain if there are other airlines that accept Bitcoin as payment for purchasing airline tickets.

Anyone with positive experience with btctrip? Their website doesn't look professional... it lags with errors and can't do anything with them to go further for purchas because of "We apologize of the inconvenience. Our new web site and services will be up and running soon.
Don't hesitate to send us an email at..."

I don't know, never have used their service, but their site is already a bit old, I can track news about them since at least 2014. Seems legit, we just don't see many news about it because it's not a service used often yet and I don't think it will become popular so fast as most people just want to hold Bitcoins to make profit on long term.

I think paying for air tickets with bitcoin is not ready yet. Currently no airfare is paid for by bitcoin. The price of bitcoin is not stable so the payment of bitcoin tickets is still difficult. In the future bitcoin can pay for air tickets, surely a lot of people will use it. Every transaction becomes easy

As of now,i haven't heard any news airline tickets paid with bitcoin.Maybe in some other places that case already exist. But if time will come bitcoin here can already buy plane tickets, then i would be very glad.At last i can travel and tour the world.
I think that after a long time bitcoin is popular in the world until then we can use bitcoin to pay for services not only pay for air tickets.
