There are already those who provide online tickets using bitcoin the problem is limited. And also feared if we reservation / message online tickets kesultian at a price at any time the price on the bitcoin value decreased. Illustration like this, When we buy a ticket with a price of 1 BTC = 2585.04 USD on this day, and the next day 1 BTC = 2595.05 USD means the travel party suffered losses. So to open online ticket reservation by using Bitcoin is still small.

Anyone with positive experience with btctrip? Their website doesn't look professional... it lags with errors and can't do anything with them to go further for purchas because of "We apologize of the inconvenience. Our new web site and services will be up and running soon.
Don't hesitate to send us an email at..."

Hello guys!

I just want to ask if there's an existing offer already that accepts bitcoins by purchasing airline tickets to a specific destination? I'm an adventure type of guy, just finished my vacation last Monday. I usually travel like 3 to 4 times a year locally by plane.

Any thoughts on this guys? Thanks in advance.
That kind of service is not available yet but for sure, it will be there. just like other online services, we will be able to pay for tickets online by Bitcoin, what we need is to wait for that to come true.

It is available.

And it's not just limited to airline tickets either, you can even book your entire trip, hotels, everything included for bitcoin. For example, btctrip i think actually has bitcoin as its preferred payment method and you can book entire trips with it. Cheapair.com also accepts bitcoin, and so does expedia which is one of the biggest travel angencies that are out there operating worldwide.

If these services aren't available, you can always do a p2p transaction if someone wants to convert their fiat into bitcoin this way. So they book for you, and you just pay them bitcoin in return. Simple.

If you are a traveler then bitcoin payment is a hustle for you because you can encounter payments delay, you just can cast-out your bitcoin then to avoid hustle for your travel.
It is a mistake to only bring one form of money to a trip, because you could easily suffer the consequences of something happening, like your cash being stolen, or your credit card being stolen as well, also your credit card could be blocked, so it is better to bring many forms of money.

abitsky.com is doing it already I think. I have never used them personally before but I am sure it is already in play. You can check and try them out. There should be some other platforms to achieve this as well hopefully.

You probably can buy airline tickets with credit cards. There are credit cards that use Bitcoin, get one of them and you can spend Bitcoins and get tickets in return.

But I wouldn't now, with the same amount of Bitcoin you may travel the world in some years

That's a good advice btw.  Smiley Just think of it. Now you buy a ticket for $600 worth of BTC and couple of years from now you might think: "Wow, I spent $3,000 worth of BTC at the current rate on that ticket!"

You could be hit by a meteorite tomorrow. At some point you actually have to start enjoying your money. And I assume no one is going to spend their last BTC on a trip to nail ladyboys.

Well, you assume wrong, if to not take into account the last part of your sentence, which is obviously not the purpose of a trip for anyone, only for some maybe. $600 is a big money and many people, if not most people, have in their wallets less than that amount worth of BTC. So if they are planning to buy airline tickets with bitcoin, most likely that would take almost all they have.

Last I checked, Expedia only accepted bitcoin for hotels (not for airfare).

When I was comparing airfare between the bitcoin sites and expedia, the bitcoin sites charged considerably more for the same flights.  It was much cheaper to sell the bitcoins first and then buy the tickets with USD.

There you go, business are probably trying to protect themselves in a case the value of the bitcoin falls and that is why they charge an higher price, it is a shame, but most of the time it is cheaper to just convert your coins to fiat and pay that way and enjoy the difference as a bonus.

There have been news about Japanese airlines and I even read somewhere on the internet about an Aussie airlines company starting to accept bitcoin but I guess those are just their future plans. Although there might be some agents who can arrange your travelling for bitcoin but that's something you will have to do research about locally or in your own place.

In my country you can't buy tickets with bitcoin, but there are proposals for renting apartments, but it is illegal proposals from individuals. I think that this situation is everywhere. Those proposals that will it will be only intermediaries.

No matter what it is. This is very good idea that we can buy air tickets too with bitcoin. People are suggesting btctrip here, I have not seen it before but wanna ask is it available for all the countries? Also, it would be so great to have few more working websites like this, so that we can just say I bought a ticket from this site for 1 BTC or 0.01 btc lols. Bitcoin is really getting into everything and it must be implemented to each and every services that needs money.

Yes it should be implemented to every service where money is need and now a day you know that people are earning a good amount from bitcoin Because people knows that bitcoin has become more powerful than other crypto currency. so it's good idea that it should implemented in each and every service where money is need.

There are plenty of sites offering GC and points for airlines and accepting bitcoins, the only airlines that is thinking about accepting bitcoin currently is Japanese airlines as far as I know.
if you are asking for a P2P deal then it is extremely easy, just ask about it in the forum and can probably make it.

It is depend on which country you travel if those travel airline agency will accept bitcoin, and it is okay if you book weeks or months before you board because if you booked on the time of your travel maybe it can delay your travel because bitcoin payment needs network confirmation and we don't know if its instant confirm bitcoin transaction payment or more than one hour to wait for the bitcoin payment to come! just don't forget to bring fiat to avoid travel hustle.

I think it's a very good idea if there is a plane ticket paying via bitcoin so it's easier to pay for tickets with bitcoin and easier with a smartphone, but I have not found out if anyone is paying a ticket using bitcoin and some countries still can not accept Bitcoin as legitimate payment in government

My actual plan was to find an airline that acept btc in my place and travels to places in which not jist because of a good beaches but the bitcoi adoption is high as well that would surely be a great trip. If i am not mistkaen one of the largest airline in japan now accepts btc as payment

Try this out, a poster suggested it but I haven't tried it personally: https://btctrip.com/

Also, you could use a Xapo debit card if you wanted. It works well. Take note though, that the extra cuts they take are usually high. So surely do research on how much these services take for their service.

I think this facility is now available only in Japan.
Peach Aviation ltd has become Japan's first airline to accept bitcoin payment.
It is said that they have teamed up with Bitnet as a payment processing partner.
