Well done.
Great job dev team, this project has nice intention, their primary goal is to create a digital currency that can be used to pay for goods and services (essentially back to crypto basics). I am curious, how can this project differ from other similr project?
Thanks. Good question BTW. From our research, mainstream adoption of existing cryptocurrencies is held back by several key issues (by mainstream we are referring to your average Joe or Sue across the globe):
1. Complexity
2. Usability and
3. Scalability.
The vision that we are pursuing with our team and resources is towards resolving complexity and usability. This is an area that we have experience. In the real world it could be argued that a digital payment system like M-Pesa has had just as much impact as Bitcoin. By improving usability and lowering complexity we see a middle ground between the two that could work on a global scale.
On page one of this thread, there are some concept images of our mobile application in development. In addition we are working on a 'crypto wizard tool' that allows easy navigation of the whole crypto sector by non-technical people enabling wider mass adoption. We are not alone as recently many major non-crypto companies have announced they will be launching a new product that looks to make things easier primarily (e.g. Telegram). So the gut feel is that the roadmap is in the right direction and something that we can steer (versus joining an existing project). Scalability is a big technical hurdle which is being worked on by the biggest crypto projects. This requires heavy funding and resource investment so off our radar at the moment (but given funding we have ideas on how to solve this given our previous experience; especially with VISA).
It should be stated we don't expect Payment Coin (POD) to replace Bitcoin, Litecoin or the other cryptos (like other launches claim). We have specific use cases (large market) that we know we can target and win. Finally for Satoshis original ideas to come true, multiple products will most likely exist in the same crypto ecosystem to have a chance to displace the financial institutions and government backers (whom still control this space!). The more real projects in this space the better for the long term view (just our opinion).
