I cant seem to extract the file folder from the zip (5.3b)... why is that? it keeps giving me an error for all the .bat files:

hello guys , is it possible to carry on running my rx570 8gb card on 5.2e (eth) and use my 2x rx470 4gb on 5.3b (etc)?
if so whats the command please , thanks in advance.
if you look up you will find answer. it was answered 10 times

has it? i thought 5.3b was a new release for ETC which isnt working correctly until the fork later today? or maybe you can see into the future questions and answers, or maybe its the same commands as ETH?

my 480 4gb is working at over 30 hashes now.
works great

IMPORTANT! Ethereum Classic (ETC) network switched to a modified version of ethash, called ETCHash. If you are mining ETC you must upgrade to PhoenixMiner 5.3b or later, otherwise you will get only rejected shares when mining ETC.

The current ETC DAG is 195 instead of 390, with corresponding "shrinking" of the DAG buffer to about 2.5 GB. With this DAG size you will be able to mine with 3GB and 4GB cards without problems. After that, each DAG epoch on the ETC network will be twice as long, so the DAG size will grow with half the speed as before. As a result, it will be possible to mine ETC with 4GB cards for about 4 more years.

The switch went without problems, all our test rigs switched to the new DAG and are mining normally. You may need to run auto-tuning again if to get an optimal speed with the new DAG size.

go install AMD DRIVER ver 20.4.2

after update my AMD Driver using 20.4.2, i've still having problem like before..
- 5 GPu work only 4
- RX480 just get 9mhs
- after a few minutes miner shows error: Allocating buffers failed with clCreatedBuffers (-61) and stop

my problem never solved..
sad mode: ON
No it is not risers
1st make sure just run only 1 RX card. DDU the driver on safe mode then install 1card RX then install 20.11.1 driver. after turn compute mode on. after make your settings and OC setting using amd wattman or overdriventool. look what you get with 1 card if it is hashing normal then keep adding your cards back. is it bios modded cards? and delete all those commands just run clean phoenixminer.exe. you can leave proto 4 and stales 0 pass x for nicehash.

Your solution is the next:
1. win10
2. driver 20.4.2
3. patch by 'atikmdag-patcher-1.4.8'
4. switch to compute mode by 'AMD-Compute-Switcher'
restart and enjoy)))

if i have rig with first card 8GB and rest  4GB, will it mine ETH after block exceeds 4GB ? if not Phoenix miner, any other miner which will allow to mine ETH with current setup?

Not without huge penality.   Just because your first card is 8gb each card has to have its own copy of DAG..so cards with 4gb are already mining slower and will continue to degrade even with zombie mode.

Might consider switching to mining etc as they are reducing dag to 3gb so 4gb cards can mine.  But ywa the end of 4gb eth mining is very soon.

i get error: Allocating buffers failed with clCreatedBuffers (-61)

https://i.ibb.co/8KcdKX6/error.jpg

i use 3X RX480 8Gb + 2X R9 390 8Gb
running on nicehash using bat file

can someone tell me about this error and how to solve it.
thank you

Look's like Windows 7 with blockchain drivers. You need Windows 10 and latest drivers.

Ok, I tried :
Code:
PhoenixMiner.exe -bench 400 -coin ETC -pool mordor.pool.fault.dev:8008  -wal 0x008c26f3a2Ca8bdC11e5891e0278c9436B6F5d1E.Rig001

But connexion to pool is rejected.

Nobody is using this pool now. I supposed, it is broken...
Pool don't like rig name - remove it and leave only wallet

You're right, without rig name connexion is OK
But all shares are rejected...

I will test live in few hours.
