Hi !

wtf ? the first page link to the "officiel" download is infected....

i mean, i DL the 5.9d , the ZIP totally freeses the PC, and a f*ù$în malware is detected right away !

" AndroidOS/Multiverze "

i mean.... WTF ? Huh

and nobody talks about it Huh

allready got it like weeks ago, formatted the PC and forgot about upgrading, but the pb is still there !  Cry

Windows always detects it as a virus. But as long as you download it from the first page it's safe. If you are having issues I think there might be other issues other than the miner

i know windows defender freaks out with miners, no problem about that.

this (test)  rig was freshly formatted, nothing downloaded yet, i get PM 5.9d and it freaks out, so we can ignore external factor i guess...

legit miner always get flagged as a miner of some sort, not as a trojan with a totally different name/usage , afaik..

so can just someone maybe just check the files ? or confirm the legit files are supposed to bet detected as this...  Sad

In fact you can check them yourself with the given checksum file/hash instead of asking someone else to do it for you if you are so freaking out about it.

I seriously doubt the link has malware. I have recently used it and it works just fine. You obviously have internal issues with your system.

Hello,

I have a little rig with 6 RX 4xx/5xx GPU.

I would like to change one or more GPU with a 6600/6700/6800 XT. After a good tuning (overclok/undervolt), which is the max hashrate and the power consumption of each of this card?

Thanks

If you looking to add some GPUs to your rig, this link is a good point to start:
https://www.kryptex.org/en/best-gpus-for-mining

Hashrates are about accurate (+-) 2-3 Mh/s depending on your OS, OC tuning, and silicon lottery. Prices will depend on your country, but most of the GPUs could be found at better prices in the USA.

If you looking for replacing 8G Polaris cards with new models, I would not recommend it, for me does not make sense. They still work pretty well and are efficient. Except if you bought them recently second-hand, they should be paid off and just will make a profit for you. Buying new ones will just eat your profit.

Hello good morning, first of all congratulations for the great program and the excellent configuration and speed of updates that you do. A suggestion: I would love for the phoenixminer to send the invalid shares to the pool, since I mined ETH through ethermine and if the phoenix sent the invalid I could see it from the app so I restart the miner when I see that it fails. Thanks a lot

RX6600 (non-XT) 8GB

Please check and tell me what should I do ?
I have XFX and Powercolor two rigs.

The Team Black miner is working good on the AMD RX 6x00 series. Please check it out.

Thank you for your advise.
I did try it. One of graphic cards goes to n/a
different times different graphic cards.
I couldnt find what the problem is.
I see gpu x is dead in the logs.

gminer works well but the rigs goes offline during the day. (in 24 hours)

Take it your running latest hiveos.

Now I don't have any experience wit hiveos but I run Ubuntu 20.4.3 with amdgpu-pro-driver-20.30
Have running a gtx 1070 24.5 MH/s and a rx 6600 xt 33+ MH/s mixed.

command line I use is: ./PhoenixMiner -hwm 2 -ttj 65 -ttm 75 -hstat 2 -prate 0.3 -fpwm 4 -cclock 1980 -mclock 1170 -proto 3 -coin eth -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal YourWallet-YourRig
this is just for the rx 6600 xt You might try, if possible, from command line ./PhoenixMiner -hwm 2 -hstat 2 -prate 0.3 -fpwm 4 -proto 3 -coin eth -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal YourWallet-YourRig as basic, just stock, see what happens before you start playing with the clock speeds.

Good luck with mining and I wish you a merry christmas for the remaining time.

As I said in my post on the previous page, PM needs current drivers for its kernels. Because HiveOS use modified old drivers to support AMD RX 6x00 series, the miner cannot start the dedicated kernel for the GPU.

The only solution I have found so far is to select manually in the flight sheet an older version of PM (like V5.5) or to go Tuning=>Phoenixminer=>edit and there add:

 -clKernel 0

or

 -clKernel 0,0,0,0,0,0

Then PM will work with a generic kernel, but the hashrate will vary with (+,-) 2 MH/s and will produce 2 - 3% invalid/stale shares.

I will try and i will use it if it mines well.
My 5500XT and 5700XT rigs runs on phoenixminer without any problem.
I hope 6600 series will work.
Thanks.

RX 6600 not mining with phoenixminer.
gminer works. please update your code.

It does. I am using Windows 10/PM 5.8c and RX6000 is running well.

I would say it works somehow, but there are still a lot of bugs needed fixing.

I use RX6000 (non-XT) with WIndows10 21H2, AMD driver 21.10.2, PM 5.8C in a rig with five RX5700(XT) and one RX6600 without a single issue.

Thanks for your reply. Your example shows me maybe doing something wrong way with my rig, or you got lucky with yours. Probably the first. Now around the holidays, I should have extra time to work on it and see what I'm doing wrong.

Of course, everyone is very welcome to share their thoughts on what I wrote above, and I'm open to any ideas on how to resolve my issues, but my main idea with the post was to remind the devs about their promise a while ago ( when released V5.9) for big changes in the miner this month. The month and the year are almost gone.

Everyone's situation could be different. In my case, I don't use Afterburner. I only use PM command line for OC settings. Below is what in config.txt

-pool ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555
-pool2 ssl://us2.ethermine.org:5555
