Regarding to this post :

"
Have this rig:

    Asrock H110 PRO BTC
    120gb SSD
    8GB Ram
    CPU G4400
    8x Vega 64
    2 hp 1200 server supply
    1 EVGA 750 watts GQ
    Windows 10

I have it 2 years now, and since beginning i got this strange problem.
When i power on the rig, sometimes some gpus dont spin and i have to do another power off and power on immediately from each other to all gpus start spinning.
Taking this off i got no problem Smiley

The hp supply is turning on by an molex fdd floppy adapater cable coming from evga.
I tried change risers etc.. but got same problem.. really anoying.
can i get your experienced sugestion here?
"

I will try to remove my molex fdd floppy adapater cable coming from my primary evga supply that should sync the supply.
Maybe without fdd floppy cable to power on the supply´s and if HP server supply's be always on connected i avoid this problem Smiley Roll Eyes

The problem is like this guy on minute 4:30s : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gt43vXQ1xMM

PhoenixMiner 5.2e is officially released. You can find the download link and the checksums in the first post of this thread.

It is the same release as the one that was released yesterday, so if you are already running it, there is no need to upgrade.

Thanks for version,

Phoenix i got one question,

I have one rig of vega 64, drives is 19.5.2 and last phoenix miner,

I tested the -tt target option and i get some questions:

1 - I observe that if i put the parameter -fanmin <35 , the software always force it to 35.
2 - the fans will always spin at ~35% or will adjust adaptively to mantain the target temp and even could stop when we got really cold weather? Im seing that overdriventoool P0-P4 stages became all populated with 35º, with this how gpu maintain an target temp if is always 35% ? Smiley
3- On new drives we can´t use an target temp? only %?

I´m confused Smiley   Cool

Thanks

add -config config.txt:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

PhoenixMiner.exe -pool eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999 -wal WALLETNUMBER.RIGNAME -pass x -config config.txt
pause

and move following part to config.txt:

Code:
-amd
-acm
-mode 1
-hstats 1
-cclock 1250
-mclock 2250
-cvddc 890
-mvddc 890
-log 0
-tstop 85
-tstart 55
-tt 65
#-fanmin 45
-fanmin 35,40,35,35,35,35,35
-fanmax 100
-cdm 0
-fcm 2
-gpus 1,2,3,4,5,6,7
-clKernel 1
-gser 5
-altinit
-rvram -1
-wdog 0
-rmode 0

You can also move -wallet -pass and -pool options to config.txt

Edit: You should still customize this config for your GPUs (number and model)

Do you think it would be possible to post screen shot of your miner file AND config file so I can see?  (You can hide your wallet number and rig name if you want of course)
Thanks in advance

There is no secret in my config but I prefer not to post it here as it would just create more confusion for you, so forget the config above as well.
Start from scratch, download PhoenixMiner, open start_miner.bat file with notepad and replace your wallet, then save and try to run it. Also read the readme.txt file in the same folder where you can find a lot other information.
Before asking any other questions, remember to specify which GPU you are using.

Good luck!

Hello,

Was using claymore until now and getting 32 Mh/s to all my 3 Rx 580s 8gbs..

Now switched to Phoenix 5.1e with this command -amd -acm -rxboost 21 -gser 2 -daglim 0
And only getting 28 Mh/s..

Tried without daglim and getting the same Mh/s..

Also every time i am starting the miner i get Disabling DAG pre allocation not enough vram..
But all my Gpus are 8 GBs..

Can anybody help ?

Thanks in advance,
rxboost 1 is enough or -vmr 25 and also add -mt1 you can try mt 2 but same results. with this you can get 30+, no other help i can do because im also came from clay, and no one helped me to get 32 again, even on claymore i was getting 33 on some cards. i tried trm and lolminer as well, having low speed. well i guess i will go back old good days flashing bios again. i think that is best way keep polais cards get good speed.

mt 2 just froze the whole rig.. Will try mt 1. But i can see that many people with 8 gb cards have problems with the dag.. Bummer..
Yes, even 1070ti are going to be impacted... Who knows, maybe ethereum will do the same thing as ETC and reduce the DAG file but I doubt it

The miner itself needs to be started "As Administrator" - right-click the .bat file and select "Run as Administrator" from the context menu. It is not enough to run it from user account that has administrator rights.

I do not use the .bat file, I run directly the miner with PhoenixMiner.exe "As Administrator" with "Run as Administrator" from the context menu.
Check if all necessary files are in the same folder as PhoenixMiner.exe - EIO.exe, EIO.dll, IOMap64.sys. Also, -rxboost will only work on GDDR5 GPUs, and -starps only on Vega GPUs. Is this a Vega GPU you are running?

Ok I have all the necessary files but I was wrong, I thought that a 5700 XT was GDDR5 and not GDDR6. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Dear Phoenix.
DAG splitting can fix Nvidia 1070-1080 series problem? Have you tried this?
Thanks.
It will not help. The size of the TLB cache depends on the size of the total allocated VRAM memory, not on the size of one allocated piece of memory.

Love this idea if it's technically possible

I agree with this idea. I hope to see this post @PhonixMiner.

hi
After a mining failure on version 5.1c, when an out of sync occurred, all my rx580 cards slightly decreased the hash rate, but the main thing was that the power consumption changed. All my fine tuning of the cards crumbled, I have to look again for the minimum working voltage, increasing it in comparison with the previous settings. please optimize power consumption in the next versions

@PhoenixMiner

I use PhoenixMiner 5.2e on my 51 rigs.
I like PhoenixMiner. But i read an article that PhoenixMiner shows higher fake hashrate than usual.
They advise to use Tem Red Miner. I tested TRM in a rig. It gives lower hashrate & it need less power than PhoenixMiner.
Do you have any explanation about it ?
Regards.

it was published on 2miners.com after claymore failed they made test which miner gets best shares. according to them for nvidia t-rex and gminer, for amd teamredminer and lolminer is best. after that i downloaded lolminer and tried mining for 2 hours, well i got bad results than phoenix. phoenix shoved better hashrate at the pool on that 2miners pool. it always good to test for yourself.

Make you own research, if you dont like Phoenix than choose another one. Its simple as that.
