I think the time has come to say goodbye to your 4gb cards mining for ethereum.
Noticed my rig turning off for no reason with it running stable for the past 2 months non-stop. Undecided

Could be a riser problem ?

I was receiving the same error when I had my RX 5700 XT GAMING OC on a test bench plugged directly into the MOBO, so I don't think it is a riser issue.  I can't confirm it, but it *seemed* to occur whenever GPU Memory Junction Temperature hit 110 degrees (add -hstats 2 to your bat file to display Tmem temp). I think 110 is when the card starts to throttle and that throws this error for whatever reason in PhoenixMiner.  I bumped my -fanmin up to 40 and now my tmem is running at a "cool" 102 degrees. Haven't had the aclwritetomem issue since.

I have this same issue with my RX 5700 XT gigabyte gaming oc (with igors lab mod, no mpt file loaded), I already increased my fan speed to 80% to see much lower memory junction temperature (after 80% fan speed, 80-85C). I'm still getting this errors and sometimes freezes my system. I don't think this is a riser problem. I need some help.

I think I just solved my issue by downloading all the visual c++ redistributable runtimes (check the link below to download all the redist runtimes). My rig is running 26 hours straight now.

Option "-log 1", not working under W10 with PhoenixMiner 5.1c.
File not exists. I try using other values "2", changing logfilename/directory with "Everyone" permissions . No success.

Modded bios for Radeon RX5700XT(X) 50th anniversary, can be used on any 5700XT with turbine cooling (tested by me), could be work for many 5700XT graphic cards (not for sapphire Nitro+, tested and not working).

Here is modded bios (freq, voltage, timmings, fan) called 875.rom with stock memory, 875MHz (1750MHz), I use this from 2 months ago,  0 crashes, gives approx 53,7xxMH for under 95Watts showed by GPU-Z.

No needed to use any OC software, like afterburner, etc.

Click on picture(s) for max resolution, I use Windows 10 Pro 1909 edition, modded by NTLite software (removed antivirus, updates and alot of useless junks), with Adrenalin 20.4.2 as video driver :

Here is modded bios (freq, voltage, timmings, fan) called 885.rom with a little OC memory, 885MHz (1770MHz), also stable but I prefear stock memory freq, gives approx 54,6xxMH for under 95Watts showed by GPU-Z.

No needed to use any OC software, like afterburner, etc.

Hi,
do you have any more tips for edition BIOSes outside this 5700xt edition? (like for Pulse, or Sapphie) - BIOS editor, BIOS romes, straps, ... .
Your number looks great, but Im not on those types of 5700xt.
To handle OC jsut via BIOS and avoit to use PhoenixMiner to set those by params, would be great.

I've read through the command list several times tried the -fcm 2, -fanmin option to no avail. I'd love to discard afterburner altogether but still need it to run the fans. Any tips from the gurus here? Thanks.

Had this exact problem before.  Only thing that fixed it was fresh install of windows.

there is nothing to fix, since this is not a breakdown, but you need to insert a monitor emulator as always, it's time to know this since you have been since 2014

From 2014 to 2016 i had a Sapp 7950/280x farm..
2016 to present Aorus 1070's .. No need for vga plugs, no unstable drivers.. and profitable mining until today (eth 30mhs/125w). Not a single regret being on the green side.

But 5700xt's are worth a try and i got a nice deal on Asrock Taichis.

back to the subject..
I used a VGA/DVI adapter with some resistors back then, whats used nowadays in the digital connectors for monitor emulator??

thanks for your answer!

Is Windows 10 detecting monitor presence??

If i run the rig (3x 5700xt) with no monitor cable attached, that card doesnt hash as fast as the others...

Phoenix miner set mem and core freq/volt ok for mining activity...but 2 cards hash ok (listed as "discrete" in Wattman, and 1 goes half speed ("primary/discrete")

( I used to need a VGA plug in 2014 for the HD7950... dont tell me thats not fixed in AMD drivers yet..)

Put here ROM file.

I tried this bios (re-modded by me, better said, bios was first modded with RBE by a friend of mine, I just adjusted fan speed and mem freq) ONLY on Sapphire 5700XT turbine cooling (reference board) and works.

Bios is from 50th anniversary (XTX).

Tried on sapphire Nitro+ and doesn-t work, as I said.

I think will work only on reference board with turbine cooling.

Does your modded bios have other timing tweaks other than straps 1500 ?
hello

i look the moded bios from guzzymese with RBE and 1500 strap timing same 1800 2000 and 2250 so yes 1500 mhz strap copy
and i look my MSI RX 5700 XT 8 GB BIOS Mech OC and 1500 mhz strap same the moded bios 1500 mhz timing .
so i moded my original msi bios i think beter work
here the timing:
"000000000F040000000000007A09000040030000162D170F4400170006060002180000000708080 018000000210C07000000010101000101001C1800220B00000F0F0000B4000000B40000004F5178 025A0000000C000A0F150500011F2A0C00B4000000CBF4130FB400000000000000"
without ""  Smiley
i hope help my answer bye

@guzzymese
if possible tel me tested this bios MSI RX 5700 XT MECH OC
thank you
I modded my own BIOS with a process of just copying the 1550 straps on down. After that I get 54MH/s out of them. Always back up the original BIOS before any modifications with GPU-Z. I also have several Mech 5700 non-XT's that I flashed the XT BIOS on and work at 54MH/s with the straps as well.

You can try it bioses that I have uploaded, but first SAVE original bios using GPU-Z!

I have just 5700XT Sapphire and 5700XTX (AMD 50'th anniversary) both turbine cooling, and work flawless, both cards.

hello ok i try one card and tell the results

which bios editor to use? if not working your bios i copy mem timing my original bios if possible.

This bios doesn't work on my Asrock challenger 5700XT

Recognized by windows on 50th anniversary, but not installed properly
Is it normal ?

Otherwise, can I grab somewhere an optimized bios with right timings ? Or maybe can you explain the timing edits you did in RBE ?

I only did the 1500 straps mod, but I can't get 55 mhs lower than 125w ..
