I heard nbminer inflates its results, I suggest you try some other too like t-rex and then compare.

Too bad about phoenixminer, I loved it.

tested with HiveOS:

Graphics cards: 3080TI
driver: 470.63.01
MEM: Micron GDDR6X
HiveOS: 0.6-211@211030
Driver: 470.63.01
Coin: ETH
OC: FAN: 100%, Core:1150, MEM: 2650, Power: 287,

Result:

phoenixminer-ver. 5.8c : 66.04 MH/s consumption: 228 W
The first few seconds the graphics card goes to 118MH/s

vs

nbminer 39.7 : 89.25 MH/s consumption 268 W

Unfortunately I lose too much so I have to stay with nbminer.

Is there any work being done on the LHR unlock ?

Thanks

I upgraded from old 5.2c miner (due to DAG size) to 5.8c and now miner even doesn't start ... any suggestions?

We use 388.71 drivers (also on other working machines).

I have the same problem. Solved it by updating to 460.89. Yours are too old.

I ended up with NBMiner + MSI Afterburner (oldschool like 2017  Grin Grin Grin) - no drivers reinstall - hashrate almost the same, but working. The reason behind that is windows not updated since install (Windows 10 Version 1703, 10.0.15063).

I have P106 running in Windows 10 Home (21H1) with Nvidia driver version: 432.00 and no issues.

I would suggest starting the miner from Command Prompt window. Sometimes errors that prevent miner from starting do not show up in the log file, but you can see them in this window.

That's cool. :-) I tried to upgrade NV drivers over VNC, but Win always ended up with BSOD+reboot plus corrupted cuda dlls.

Hi,

unfortunately I have a problem with all phoenixminers over version v5.4c. From phoenixminer-v5.5 I have the problem that the program tells me very quickly that a GPU fault is allegedly detected.

The same system without changing anything runs flawlessly with the phoenixminer-v5.4c at around 190 MH / s.

Thanks for any help.

If it runs without issue with PM v5.4c why you want to change? My understanding is that most latest change were for later GPUs.

some time ago I had to update my ETC-ZIL rigs(several at the same time) as 5.2 (or was it 5.4?) completely lost stability for some unknown reason. now all rigs are fine on 5.7b
EDIT: same mobo 11 and 12 GPUs rigs ... on Windows

Hi,

unfortunately I have a problem with all phoenixminers over version v5.4c. From phoenixminer-v5.5 I have the problem that the program tells me very quickly that a GPU fault is allegedly detected.

All my rigs went offline with the message say to "upgrade to the latest version of Phoenix Miner." I'm running 5.3b. However everyone is saying the 1st post for the latest version is a scam. Where can I get an updated legit version?

When in doubt, refer to the first post. That one is posted by the author himself. Anyone else claiming to have the latest (which is pretty prevalent here) is a compromised account/ threat actor.

The post in question is from the original author, who people are speculating is hacked. Both posts lead to a .info site. Is this considered the safe mirror? People quoting were talking about a github link which afaik is no longer there so im also confused. If anyone could provide insight it would be greatly appreciated

https://phoenixminer.info/downloads/

The only legit link for Phoenix miner is the one above which I copied from the first page of this thread. If you check there,it is nothing more than a directory to download all the legit versions of Phoenix miner including the latest one the 5.8c version. All other links are hackers/threat actors or even script kiddies trying to infect you with malware,a friend of mine downloaded the version 5.5c from untrusted sources and what happened to him is that after a certain time the bat file redirected my friend wallet to the hacker wallet and he was seeing his stats not updating for hours,so be extremely careful here.

Any possible way to upgrade the Nvidia drivers as they are a bit old in the teeth, also try without the ENV settings.
I have a GTX 1070 running with PM 8.5c and running fine with nvidia drivers 470 and cuda 11.4 although I am running Linux.

My config is:
-cdm 1
-cdmport 10050

-nvKernel 3
-log 0
# -logdir /home/filip/Miners/logs
# -logfile dranged-pm.log
-hwm 2
-ttj 2:65
-hstats 2
-prate 0.0703
-powlim -28
-cclock whatever your settings
-mclock +800

I would try without the -straps

Does anyone know when exactly ETH becomes PoS ?
And when it's happens what coin is good to replace in our mining rigs (especially with AMD Polaris GPUS) ?

No one really knows as the devs of Ethereum are well known in missing the deadlines they pone to do.Based on that I would say as a minimum can happen in late 2022 early 2023 so there is enough time to keep mining Ethereum and making money like all miners do.

Plenty of other coins to mine if Eth goes PoS and the top of them are,ERG,ETC and RVN.

According to red panda mining https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2hRc1ASpaI we probably have another 8 months before it might change to PoS.
