-mclock 2175,2175,2200,2200,1800,1780,1775,1750 - only shows 8 cards
-mvddc 860,830,830,830 - only shows 4 cards
-vmr 20,20,25,25 - only shows 4 cards

Set it up for all cards like
-mclock 0-1:2175,2-3:2200,4:1800,5:1780,6:1775,7:1750,8:xxxx
Do the same with -mvddc and -vmr

Examples are in the readme.txt

Hi Deedeeranged, tnx for your reply. The settings as shown do work in PM 5.5c.
For a reason it seems that the -mvddc and -vmr does not work for the 5700 and 6800 cards.
The 6800 card I tune via the AMD software.

Do you think the missing data is the reason why PM 5.6b or 5.7b does not start??

Have you already tried the per GPU settings? Things have changed between significantly to some extend between versions versions (see first page).

I am sad once having been forced to migrate from my beloved RVII to RX 6800 XT on Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS (GNU/Linux 5.4.0-80-generic x86_64). RVII works very nice on this setup with PhoenixMiner_5.7b_Linux and 5.6d to (the real releases from post 1 of this thread not a dodgy scam one posted on here by an opportunistic creep) Sorry to digress but yes i am now double sad as cannot get my newly obtained fresh out the box Asus RX 6800 XT Tuf hashing at all and in most cases not recognised like below output:

The only driver that is recognised on this system by latest PM versions mentioned is amdgpu-pro-20.50-1234663-ubuntu-18.04, however this gives 0 hashrate and eventually crashes.

Im tired of seeing:

As we can see the above shows the GPU not even starting and the fans remain inactive. Please confirm is latest shipped RX 6800 XT working or not as I bought it having been assured thatr full hardware control was now implemented here but as of yet cant get it hashing for trying.

Thanks

Finally just to confirm the install command used:

#sudo ./amdgpu-pro-install -y --opencl=rocr,legacy

When i first tried to install 20.50 i used --opencl=pal,legacy and got a error with message about using rocr instead but noted on later versions this warning is missing. I bet i missed a stupid step can you give me a clue my friendly miner pals :-)

Hello all,

Long time SimpleMiningOS / PhoenixMiner user here, previously very happy with several 8-GPU rigs (all AMD RX 4xx/5xx).  Recently sold a bunch of rigs and with the various hardware I put together a 12-GPU rig, all Sapphire Nitro RX480 8gb.  I am running into strange behaviors, however, when after many hours of uneventful happy hashing....
  • 7 GPUs will drop to 0 Mh/s
  • SMos shows 12 GPUs active
  • The remaining GPUs start producing incorrect shares
  • -minRigSpeed is apparently entirely disobeyed because I can see the rig hashrate (~155 Mh/s)
  • Ethermine eventually sends me an email telling me the rig went offline

-pool ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal $walletETH.$rigName -minRigSpeed 375 -rmode 2 -gt 64

Clearly watchdog isn't catching this, because it appears that minRigSpeed is being ignored in this situation.  Any ideas?

After a long period of working with phoenixminer 5.5c and AMD drivers 20.1.1.1. and only some interventions the last month I had to restart the rig (AMD cards:4x 580, 1x 5700 3x 5700xt and a 6800) more often (driver errors).
So I thought it would be a good time to uninstall all and install new drivers (21.8.1) and use the newest phoenixminer 5.7b.

After the driver install I ran the phoenixminer. it starts to read the config file ( all up to showing the phoenixminer version (5.7b)

but it seems it doesn not load the drivers. (with 5.5c I saw for all 9 cards the driver version appearing)
I use the same items in the config file as for the 5.5c version.
What is /could be the problem why phoenixminer does not load the driver for the cards and start to mine?

--------

Some extra info:  when I started the phoenixminer in safe mode (win 10) it almost immediately displays the driver version (21.6.1), but states there are no GPU's available.

My 6x6600XT rig starts producing the only incorrect shares after each dag epoch's grow.

-dagrestart 1
doesn't work

It's time to fix it Smiley

Why don't you try -eres 6 for example and every time in which the dag grows nothing should happen, that command -eres 6 is to just to tell the miner to keep in mind that the incorrect shares will only start after the dag grows 6 numbers for example from 436 to 442 you should be ok doing this, the command and Phoenix miner supports a maximum of -eres 14 if I remember correctly.I had the miner crash every time the dag grew by 1 number in my Rx 6800 xt cards and by doing this I extended the life of the miner a lot before crashing.Try this and let us know if your problem is fixed.

Something very strange happened to my 580 card used on my PC with Windows 10. After the last restart, the hashrate dropped from 32 to 26 Mh. Neither Radeon settings nor Windows has any updates, since I turned them off. It is still in compute mode. It seems the problem is that suddenly the -strap X option on Claymore wich I used together with phoenix miner doesn't increase the hashrate. On the contrary, after successful loading it reduces it with 1Mh at least. I tried switching off and on the PC and plugging out the power cable, but nothing changed. I also unistalled and installed the driver in Claymore, still the same.

Edit. With Phoenixminer (without Claymore memory timings) adjusting Memory Timings Level 2 on Radeon Settings I got to 31.1Mh, but still not 32.1Mh. I can live with that of course. But it is weird.

Windows Update keeps installing incorrect driver versions, so even if mining still works, I would go to device manager and go back to previous driver version for your display adapter.   Windows 11 has been REALLY obnoxious about installing driver versions that are less than optimal, but Windows 10 has that annoyance as well.

I deleted epools example, dpools is commented out, and I've set my config, but every time I use start miner, it still uses the default wallet address

help?

5.7b windows

because you are using the shortcut. the shortcut is for when launching phoenixminer.exe by itself doesn't work.

you need to launch phoenixminer.exe by itself. for it to use the setup in the config.

Is official download site down? I get "phoenixminer.info’s server IP address could not be found."

You clicked on a phishing link. Only use the links in the first post.

No, I did not, I'm talking about the links in the very first post of this tread. The ones that really point to "phoenixminer.info" site (not phishing github pages). The official domain is not resolving for me. Anyone else??

I found the problem!. I use Quad9 Filtered DNS resolver (9.9.9.9) It turns out it mistakenly filtering out the official "phoenixminer.info" domain as a malicious website. This smear campaign against Phoenixminer is getting out of control! Whoever trust this software/website please ask to remove "phoenixminer.info" domain from Blacklist filling this form: https://quad9.net/support/contact

Why are you using a DNS level malware protection when you can easily install uBlock Origin in any browser?
Looks like it's only Quad9 that thinks PhoenixMiner is a malicious website because at least all default filters of uBlock Origin doesn't think of that.

When you hover with the mouse over the link you will be see whats the real link is on the left bottom!
As JayDDee already has written the Link was a fake one with Malware when you download everything from there.
I reported the link already and have written also in my thread about it here Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action !

Just tried the link and it works for me right !

It worked for me too, that's why I assumed a phishing link. Could be AV or firewall blocking you, or some other network problem.

Just tried it again...
