It has been a long time since I didn't check this thread as I almost don't bet anymore in sports betting but just checked it to be astonished.Seeing Legia Warsaw fighting for not falling down in another lower league is something I have never seen before and it looks like this time they really can't fight for salvation. There already have been played many games and this shows the true power of the teams, seeing Legia Warsaw in penultimate place is something not good to see but unfortunately it looks like they are going to play in the lower league next season.Sure there are still quite many games to play but as I said the games that have been played has already shown the real value of the teams.
Yeah, it's still strange to see Legia so low, but I don't believe that they're going to relegate. They got dropped out Europa league, so, now they will be able to focus playing in Ekstraklasa. And maybe make change in squad during transfer window.
It's a pity that all good Polish players don't play in this league anymore. Then you would have had a gangabe competition. Poland is a rich football country, it is striking that the teams perform so little. If you compare it to the Czech Republic, they are still ahead, while in terms of culture and structure they are about the same. I think gambling is allowed there, wouldn't that team also easily find richer sponsors in the form of bookmakers?
I don't see big difference between Poland and Czech Republic, they're on similar level. Ekstraklasa have 9 times bigger TV contract than Czech league, they're not worse in terms of infrastructure, bookmakers probably gives similar money in both leagues and level of football is similar in both countries, despite that Czech clubs perform a bit better in Europe.
It's simply impossibe for Polish clubs to keep their best players when they get offers from Germany or Italy. I think it was same thing 10 or 20 years ago.
