And this is it, the final results of the poll say that the majority don't have a single coin (66%). I am going to lock the thread and avoid further discussion on a topic that will come up again and again here. Thanks, wishing you all the best throughout your journey.

those who buy bitcoin in 2018 are very lucky in 2020. those who have a lot of bitcoin will become the richest people this year, let's see the development of bitcoin in 2021, I think the price of bitcoin will continue to rise in that year.

Owning at least 1BTC is the goal I've always wanted to attain since I started here in Crypto world. But since I am just new in Bitcoin world and trading, its definitely too late for me to accumulate that 1BTC because year 2020 is about to end. But, somehow I believe that I could own even just 1BTC starting next year and will really try my best to attain my goal. Right now, I only have few different coins in my digital wallet and some are on the particular exchanges where it is being listed. I am also doing trading now which I think not bad for a newbie like me. I can say that I
am more focused in earning different coins as I am learning all the strategies needed here and my patience was really tested, and that was the only thing I could only share for now as my humble beginning. What is more important is that I also earned and gain profits and able to feed my family during this trying time.

Karartma1, forum users do not like to vote at all, or they may be concerned about their privacy in a particular case, even though the voting is completely anonymous (as far as I know). However, I noticed that the results from your survey are quite similar to the ones I received from my question here. As we can see the percentage of those who would sell at a price of $100k is very similar to the percentage of users who declared that they do not have 1 BTC.

I wish all of you great holidays and be content what with you have, that's the only way to go.

That's true, I don't think anyone will be satisfied with owning 1 BTC, when they reach that goal they usually set a new one and so on indefinitely. Happy holidays to you too Smiley
Interesting to put this poll's data in comparison to yours. Still, this is not very representative as I believe the forum is full of +1BTC owners but they have their obvious reason to avoid any form of comment/vote.
I only hope my message is reasonably right: not matter the price, owning bitcoin now is some sort of revolutionary act and that is why I would like that people would feel content with it. Holding the best hard asset in the near future will make a difference.

See you around.

Don't tell anyone in the forum, and elsewhere how much you own, or give a hint of how much you own, or the exact prices and when you bought. You'll be a target for bad actors, and the government as Bitcoin's valuation surges nearer and nearer to 6 digits.

I think there's no time frame for owning 1 BTC though, it might take some time for many for us to achieved that, but hey this market has many surprises so it might be difficult but it's going to be worth once you became a member of this exclusive club.

Personally, I have started this year, still far from 1 BTC, but I have clear goals so I must say that I have accomplished big things already as I have some stash somewhere in one of my wallets.  Grin

I save a portion of my monthly income and buy and deposit in bitcoin. I have been saving like this for almost a year now. Although I haven't had 1 bitcoin yet, I will soon own one bitcoin. If I can continue the way I have been saving for so long, I will have 1 bitcoin deposited in my Vault by April next year.  Smiley

So you started this when the Bitcoin prices were $12,000 per coin? I wish you had thought about it in 2018, when the prices were much lower. But in cryptocurrency sector, it's never too late. The only catch is that you may need to wait for a little longer, to get good returns on your investment. I am someone who made the investment when the prices were $900 per coin (January 2017). And nowadays I feel very lucky about that decision.

Wow. I'm amazed and envious at the same time. I mean, you already know when you'll obtain 1 BTC. As for me, I'm still far from reaching such amount. It'll even take me long to reach half of it. Especially now that I've converted some of my earned BTCs into fiat so I can earn my profit from the ATH.

I think it's taking me long because my btc just came from my salary every week from my campaign. But I'm not in a rush though. I think it's also amazing if I have earned my first 1 BTC all from my earnings from sig campaign and I can eventually say that my hard work finally paid off.

I don't think I can reach 1 bitcoin by the end of the year and even next year. I'm still struggling on ways on how to increase the bitcoin I had in hand and I'm still assessing the possibilities of opportunities. Maybe it is because I am  too careful and don't take so much risk.

Good prediction and advise you have provided here OP. Hopefully that someone had follow on the things that you have stated in your post. Now the value of bitcoin had grown big after the post you made. If one had bought bitcoin in that time which november then surely one had big profit now after selling bitcoin bought.

Well, strategies are cool, but I've always preferred different giveaways. And thanks to Chrismas, we got many of them. Currently, I'm taking part in one from the Freewallet team.

A strategy (with some risk ) would be to buy Ethereum ( or any altcoin , but Etheruem is safer ) and when the ETH/BTC ratio improves , you trade for Bitcoin.

This way you get more BTC for your dollar.

The risks - ETH never goes up in value , or maybe it does but BTC outpaces it , meaning the ETH/BTC ratio doesn't improve significantly.

Lets say you buy ETH at $600 , and if the ETH/BTC ratio goes to 0.1 , you trade for Bitcoin , then the effective BTC price that you paid is about $6000

I was lucky to venture in to the cryptocurrency sector during the initial phase (2014). As a result, I was able to earn much more than BTC1 through various signature campaigns and giveaways. But it is not possible now to earn that much from signature campaigns and bounties. On average, these campaigns currently pay less than BTC0.20 per year.

So for the new users, the only way of owning more than 1 BTC is to convert some of their other assets to BTC. And this can be a very difficult decision to make, given the volatility of the Bitcoin prices.

I have been in that situation as well, but I was not able to keep my 1 bitcoin, I trade it with altcoins and shit happens. However, I don't regret as I was able to invest on a business in real life, now my goal is to start hunting for 1 bitcoin but I will not make it this year, that's for sure.

You don't need to make (or rather earn) 1 BTC. You can always convert some of your other assets to Bitcoin. Obviously this is a step which the vast majority of the users don't want to take, because they know that Bitcoin is a high-risk asset. But if you check the history, then you can see that those who took the risk got rewarded in the end, and that too very handsomely.

I can do that but since I have another option to make bitcoin, then I will just utilize that option, it doesn't matter how long I will complete that 1 btc as for sure the value will rise in the long run, and that will still make me profitable if I'll sell it, but not yet, not that easily, I'll try to dream big with my 1 btc, I'll follow what people think that they'll only sell their 1 bitcoin when it can already buy them a house, their dream house.

You may have heard about institutional investors finally embracing bitcoin, billionaires going crazy about owning BTC, public companies owning them as a reserve asset, etc.
The last time a poll like this was made the end result was that in 2018 only 304 forum users voted YES while 300 voted no.
Votes are depend on how each members look into the matter, like this year that ove expectation happens and now most of the people are frustrated about how the market respond towards this all good news.
As 2020 comes to an end, were you able to treat yourselves with 1 full bitcoin?
If you like explain to others how have you reached this threshold: also, if you feel like sharing it, tell us why you were not able to do that.
Threating full Bitcoin if i will sell all my crypto assets in which will never happen,i want to be ready in any circumstances .
Give your honest point of view and please bear in mind I will not tolerate any bullying here: don't judge what others have done wrong, as the real point of this thread is to let everyone aware that this can be a turning point in our lives and owning 1 bitcoin could be a game-changer soon.
The change of games supposed to happen back in november when the Bullying starts but when we stepped on December no particulars given and what we see is pure struggling.
So, if you hold one bitcoin hold on to it; if you don't try to do your best to reach one, but securely store and manage what you currently have.

Good luck to you all!

The poll will close in 60 days.
Sad to say but i'm going to sell mine for a while and wait for the next correction ,this will save my time and effort for the whole season activities.

I was close on having 1BTC this early year 2020, but sadly this COVID pandemic hit my country really hard that I was forced to withdraw most of my bitcoin holding and use it for daily and monthly expenses for me and my family, well I don't regret it because it is for my family and thankfully I still have some on hold.

You should not be too disappointed. At least the prices were on the higher side for 2020, when compared to 2018/2019. So you might have got a good price, when you sold your coins. And we never know in which direction the price will move. When a bull run occur, users ignore the possibility of a correction and believe that it is going to last for ever. And when the correction kicks in, they will come under panic and sell their coins at a loss.

Even though I failed to own 1 Bitcoin this year, that doesn't mean I can't own 1 Bitcoin. It is true that the price of Bitcoin will
continue to rise and become more expensive, but I am sure there will be times when the Bitcoin price falls. So actually it is still
open to being able to own 1 Bitcoin in the future, if this year we fail. We can still collect satoshis bit by bit, so if we accumulate it,
it will reach 1 Bitcoin too.
