The network hashrate is huge and the price is going up steadily.
This crypto doesn't even have a GUI wallet yet so it's still the beginning...

I have been hearing a lot of buzz about Zerocash but the devs seem to be rather secretive. It sounds like a lot of work is going into it so it might hit it big when it finally is released and the secrets are revealed.

Exactly..The whole point of Cryptos is to be Trustless, which Zerocash initially will not be. I don't want another MtGox situation happening, I won't be touching that coin/protocol.
And if I understood correctly, when/if quantum computer is made, the whole blockchain is compromised. Not just from that point forwards, but all the way to the beginning.
That's a huge if. If quantamn computers are made, there will be Much much bigger things to worry about than cryptocurrencies...You'd have to worry about literally everything, such as your info being stolen online, banks being compromised, literally every worst thing you can imagine. A quantamn computer would be able to hack into any known technological device that uses the internet...on the entire planet(yes that includes satellites, all computers, cell phones, etc etc etc....

None of the above. Anonymity has to be taken more seriously than just trying to pretend someone else send the transaction...

Having been in the field of security/cryptography, Zerocash hands down.
With their trusted situation, where they trust a third party to destroy the keys that would allow that 3rd party to see every transaction clearly? I don't think so. Zerocash isn't even worth considering truthfully.
This was covered at a conference. It is a one time process, that will have proof.
