How do you know Bitcoin is still the leading crypto currency when the last coins are mined?

By that time Bitcoin can be a second choice, if not worse. Bitcoin will be wort a lot at some point, or it will be worth next to nothing.

With its full potential it might reach such a big value, but at the same time all other currencies we use will also be having a high value than the present value.

it won't go to 10k$ at end of 2016 because halving will rise price up to 1000$, who can rise it by another 9000$ in just 6 months? so it probably won't rise to 10k$ at 2016, i think it will go there at 2028 only, after all these halving, bitcoin will be really popular so it's price will be high too

I think thats impossible that bitcoin will rise until 10k even in future its over valued and i think the maximum price will be hit in the future is around $1000-$2000.. bitcoin has a limit and we know that but more miner will come and generate more bitcoins .. so that its impossible..

We don't even know if Bitcoin is still the leading crypto currency when all coins are mined. By that time there is a lot that can happen and maybe there is another currency that will gain much more popularity than Bitcoin. I prefer to focus only on reaching $1000 again for now. i don't think bitcoin being the leading cryptocurrency has anything to do with how much of it is mined. it might not be the leading cryptocurrency because of another altcoin someday but that would never be because of the mining percent.
and price of bitcoin is going to be affected (at higher levels) by how much adoption it will have in the future

The adoption of companies to bitcoin is really important if only us users we wont get the price high we need big companies to make the bitcoin last for many years.

Adoption by companies is important part, but even big companies such as Microsoft and Dell accept bitcoin, there aren't any changes in bitcoin price.
I think advertising about bitcoin by companies who adopt bitcoin is very important, otherwise there won't be any difference.

adoption is just the first (big) step towards the bitcoin success and the real price rise that we are all expecting. but the important second step is the regular people accepting bitcoin and stop with their worrying about the price and losses and that i think will happen only with less volatility.

Indeed, 5000 dollar will still be difficult to reach and the 10000 dollar is just not realistic in my eyes, it would take years over years to get it to this amount in my eyes.
The halving will let the price go to a higher amount but the 1000 dollar is even a difficult number to reach so talking about 10k is just not realistic it maybe will never hit this amount.

very interesting old topic, predicting $10,000 per bitcoin by the end of this year in 2013!!

i have always said bitcoin has a good future ahead of itself which will cause the price rise in a couple of years but i doubt if it ever reaches such a high price. at the very best it can go as high as half the amount ($5K) and definitely not this year because such a big rise requires a lot more from bitcoin which is not yet ready for,

It might still be reached, but probably we will not be witnessing it to happen, so probably it would be years from now..Though adoptions could happen, it is still far from happening soon..

I do not think so. Because many people had speculated same thing for the price level of $1000, when bitcoin was trading around $25 to $30 price levels. So I believe $10,000 price levels are more reasonable for bitcoin and it could reach within this year also.

there should be an option to vote for after 2020 because in such small period of time we will surely not reach it

besides that i guess that it will be reached in like 3 or 4 decades because the price is nowhere near that right now

There is a chance the bitcoin will rise to this amount but the fact is that it would take a lot of years, I chose 2020 because there is a good chance that there will be another halving in that year.
I do say it will happen but the bitcoin is unpredictable so no one can say what is gonna happen, if the bitcoin grows a lot in a couple years there is a good chance it will rise to a high amount.

Yes indeed you are right, there is a really small chance that it can happen, because you will never know what will happen with the value and that is the problem and you can also see now that the value is not even rising.
The most people with Bitcoin are waiting for a good price increase and that they can have some good profit later.

I voted "never". That is not to tell that it will not succeed, but I think that cryptocurrencies will succeed in a general sense, so that money will be spread among the different currencies.
