Yes, it will take atleast 10 years from now to reach that value, as $10k is not an ordinary value, bitcoin will surely take time to reach there, not possible in next couple of years.

I know the Gemini exchange intends to serve institutional investors, but their volume is just showing that there is barely any interest in their exchange. I am also aware of the fact that they only allow US customers to sign up for the moment. Gemini doesn't have any impact on the price. I wonder how many traders are actually using their exchange. Their volume is made by some peaks and that's it. There are periods of hours where only a few coins are being traded.

2019 is not far but and not near, i think that in 2020 will be another halving and maybe at that time price will be changed dramatically.

I think everyone here is delusional. For bitcoin to get his high, all coins would need to be mined already. There needs to be a lot of demand and supply is limited. I don't think this will happen in 4 years. I think it will take at least 10 or so years for bitcoin to reach this.

It's normal. People want to have a complete Bitcoin before it's too late. It can be seen as a challenge, especially for those who don't have the required funds to do so. I think right now we are already starting to see people not buying a whole Bitcoin, but just 0.2BTC instead. And when they have more funds ready, they will buy themself another 0.2BTC. Till they reach the magical 1BTC.
