What do you think?

I think satoshi not a person but refers to a large company. But it is not important to know the identity of the person who does not want known by the public, we need to respect their privacy as well. thank you Smiley

none of them are satoshi because none of them could ever provide any proof of being satoshi, and actually i think Hal Finney has better chance of being satoshi than anybody else has.
also i think satoshi is a group of programmers and not just one person.
agree with the not just one person but a group of programmers

I think its not a one person its a group or a team or developers.. i never heard any about satoshi nakamoto..
But i saw some people they are acting like satoshi nakamoto but they are fake..

I believe that Satoshi himself wrote the first white paper and then received a lot of help getting it off the ground.
If it was started by a group from day 1 it would be hard to keep everyone quite for so long, most groups talk eventually.

It has gotten too late for most of the community to really care much at all anymore.
Craig has released no great proof yet so im not buying into it.

I cant believe why you added Dorian to the list, there were many other names you could have choosen unless it was a joke.

Their could not have been many full nodes when the first few transaction were sent so is there anyway to track down at least the general area Satoshi was in when sending?

It really doesn't matter who Satoshi Nakamoto is but, of course, it's still interesting to speculate. Contrary to many others I don't think that S. N. is a pseudonym for a team. IMO S. N. is (or was) a single person. That he never touched his fortune in years strongly indicates that there is no team involved but rather a single player. There are many possible reasons that the coins were never touched again. The explanation could be even something simple like a broken harddisk, a lost USB-Stick or a forgotten password. But there is also the possibility that S.N. died without leaving any instructions to his heirs.

What do you think?

I think there was a team behind him... and both Craig and Dorian are absolutely not correlated with Satoshi Wink

I don't understand what the point behind such threads is. The theories that those two people are Satoshi were disproved, and basically nobody really knows who Satoshi is (or was) at this time.

The point of the thread is to see what is the view of this forum's users on Satoshi's identity.

I am surprised that 15 % of the users that voted (at the time of writing this) considers Craig to be a viable candidate for Satoshi, although he has been caught presenting fabricated evidence and declines to present independently verifiable evidence  to support his claims.

I feel certain sympathy for Satoshi apparently wanting to stay away from publicity, but I guess it is human curiosity to want to know who he is.

I think Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonym of a group of people and not a single individual. But the big question at the moment is who owns the private keys to the 1 million Bitcoins. Is there really a secret trust entrusted with looking after the Satoshi legacy?
To be honest, I think the private key might have likely been discarded, or is safe (in a safe) and won't be touched anytime soon. Chances are there is nothing there and there are no secrets hidden within the wallet, but there could be secrets hidden in other places, somewhere.

I have read a post of satoshi nakamoto and he said there that he is not Dorian Nakamoto. And bitcoin is not a one-man project the developers made.
They are compose of many. But they are still hiding themselves and doesn't want people to know them personally.

I don't get it why people keeps unveiling satoshis' identity.
The guy wanted to be left anonymous so why won't people just let it be?
What could possibly you get if you knew who is satoshi?

Why didn't you list Hal Finney, or Nick Szabo, or Dave Kleiman, or any of the other folks who've been identified as plausible candidates?

To keep it simple... I think these two persons are the most obvious choices.
People like you are the reason people like Craig Wright attempts such BS
as he knows there are many gullible people like yourself, that only belive crap they read in the media.

You are an idiot.
Its on the internet so it must be true.

One strange question we should be asking, is how come the actual 2 most likely candidates are already dead ?
