Is there any way we an help you solve this issue? It's been down for about 4 days now - that's really too long :-(

I think EcoCoin is the most interesting pool today and actually recommended it to a couple of friends ... but 4 days downtime might kill the project. So, if there's any way we can help you, let us know ...

Still waiting to hear what's going on with this pool. Site's still down. Any updates?

Any update on what's going on? The error does look like someone changed something - and then it broke. But there's really not that much to tell from that message. I doubt this is a DDoS-attack - if it was, the server would be unresponsive and it responds immediately. It's unlikely that a DDoSed server would generate error messages (well, you'd probably get a timed out error message from your browser and every once in a while you'd get the site - just like with higher-than-expected traffic which would actually be really good news ;-) ).

Sometimes things go a bit rough - I really hope you get things settled with your developer. The world needs EcoCoin ;-)

Hey, good luck fixing it! It's really been down for a while now, so it seems to be a little more serious :-(

Very nice rework of the framework! Where's the clap emoticon when I need it?

Do your part for Bitcoin!
I think almost every pool associated with Bitcoin was DDoS in the a past few hours.

I was one of the first people to join so got the lower target

I should have hit 2000 right when the site went offline Undecided

Are You Shpongled?
I can't seem to access the site or mine right now, but I finished the 2000 shares requested (I made my account before you edited it) and probably close to 10k.

I <3 this idea.

I'm having difficulties with the account page, however. It seems I am unable to change account settings (such as payout address) despite using the correct PIN. It just takes me back to the account page without any changes made.

EDIT: Looks like this was because I had nothing entered in the Donation % field. However, when I enter "1" there it gives me an Internal Server Error page, but the changes were made.

EDIT EDIT: Looks like the whole server is down now. I'll be checking this out again in the future when the wrinkles have been ironed out.

Awesome! I was actually looking for a pool that I really feel worthy of supporting and this is it. Kudos for creating this!!!
Wonderful!  If you have any trouble getting setup, let me know Smiley

Everything worked fine so far; I'm using DiabloMiner on a Mac. I'm "part-time-mining" with my 2007 Mac Pro with a GeForce 8800 GT. So that just adds a humble 20 MHash/Sec. But I'm in the Top 20 ;-) ... well, just 11 workers currently online, so no surprise.

The stats certainly need a little reformatting (make those two tables more separate by adding some padding between the first and the second one; and make them look "really nice", e.g. by right-aligning the numbers).

You absolutely need to get HTTPS up and running. And Logout didn't work for me (on Safari).

So I'd say there's still a bit of work to be done! ;-)

Great idea, I was hoping more charity type pools would emerge soon! (and please ppl, do not attack climate change theories in this thread, if you are a climate change denialist just do not join or go start a pool that donates to Rand Foundation or something) As soon as you work out the kinks, I will direct my hashes your way.

Let the chips fall where they may.

  • Based upon the Push Pool and Simplecoin open source mining software - thank you to their developers!
  • 50% of our profit purchases trees through Trees For Our Future - a 501(c)3 non profit.
  • 50% of our profit purchases rainforest land through the World Land Trust - a 501(c)3 non profit.
  • As we begin purchasing trees and land, we will provide receipts and other documentation here and on our site as proof.

I think you should make it more clear in the original post how much of the pool profit goes to running the servers. I realize you plan to "eat" the initial cost.

Somebody asked about donations mentioned in the simple coin interface. Should those be ear-marked for running the servers?

There's a user with 135GH/s right now, I guess it's you.
But it shows you have submitted a total of 42 shares only Huh
as FairUser already said the stats were even showing negative shares!
and since i detached the rig and switched to single gpu, it started counting from zero again. o.O

the hash rate you see seems to be calculated very delayed. in the user interface it says 10minutes delay, however this can't be true.
i switched from the rig back to a single gpu more than an hour ago.

and the current shares you see, are correct ...but only for the single gpu! all the the shares before that came from the rig somehow got turned into a negative share and it started from zero again... Sad
