Thanks, Joblo, but my goal wasn't to setup my rig to auto-switch algo's, rather to know which was more profitable for reference.

Yes, I know that. The page I pointed to lists the algo normalization factors so you can compare the profitability
among all the aglos.

Now if only the pool would come back up.

For now I am mining Vertcoins at "give-me-coins.com.com" and using Cryptsy to convert to bitcoins. I know they have both had issues with security in the past. But until yaamp.com comes back online, it seems to be the best alternative and I have enabled two-factor authentication on both sites.

What is everyone else doing?

Does anybody know if there are stats that list which 'coin' is more profitable and is there anything similar to MinerControl that would switch my rig to mine that way?

I believe the X11 default is due to the way yaamp.com defaults it's display. X11 is the default across the site the first time you arrive

Anyone know what is up with the lyra2 pool? There seems to be a lot of hashing going on, but no earnings...

It seems that no coins have been found for this algo since a while.  I don't know if this could be considered normal for the combined hashrate on Yaamp vs the total hashrate of the VTC network.  So that might be due to simple (bad) luck.  Or maybe there is something wrong with the pool setup.  ("Bad luck" that lasts too long often indicates that there is an underlying issue.)

Installed the widget, looks very good (Using the 2x1 size widget on SGN4, Android 5.0.1).

Tapping once on the widget brings up graphs, but the current hashrate defaults to X11, and is currently not selectable / point-able to one's currently mined algo.

Hi Kieth!
It should be a drop down box that lets you select the algo.
Fixed in the new version, should be able on Google Play shortly.

I made a small Android widget to monitor my workers and balances. You can have different widgets for each individual algo. It does a basic graph, shows profitability  for the select algo etc.

Feel free to check it out:

Could use some help...D/Led hedge code for wallet,  but can't seem to compile. I need some help with a winQt. Have all needed MinGW + any MsWin needed. Step by step....how the heck do I get a working wallet outa this. Im messing up somewhere. Any help....I wanna mine but need a wallet addy?  Mining not good without.

Thanks much  Cool

there is an easy way - if the coin is on an exchange ...

go to the exchange - setup a profile - get a wallet address - start mining to that wallet address ...

that way - you can start mining until you fix the issue that you have compiling the wallet ...

or find another compiled wallet that you can use elsewhere ...

then when you have fixed that issue - transfer the coin ...

that is - IF there is an exchange that has the coin ...

Did Vertcoins stop paying out? Or is the Lyra2 pool not reporting correctly? The last payout I received was 3 days ago, but my income chart has flatlined since then, even though my miners are reporting plenty of Lyra2 share submissions.

Huh

most profitable algo is individual for every miner,
you have password options to adjust profitability estimates.
and this has nothing to do with btc or ltc since those being mined with asics

Thanks, Unklo.  I understand profitability varies drastically based on mining hardware, and upon settings.
Comparing the efficiency between ASIC's and GPU is not the purpose.

The relative profitability percentage uses BTC only as a common payment medium, and LTC as a base with which to index altcoin algo's on a GPU vs mining LTC on the same given GPU. Each altcoin algo's running profitability can be indexed for relative profitability by pairing the coin vs LTC on a common exchange site (Cryptsy, etc), deducting assumed fees and exchange losses, and sorting the resulting BTC payout yields.  One practical purpose might be to decide what algo to base new or re-purposed rigs upon.

Is the API JSON response supposed to show the hashrates as well? It is only showing balances for me  Huh

Yaamp tries to pick the most profitable coin per algo, points miners there, then auto-exchanges to BTC.  Sounds great.

But how profitable is each algo at the time vs ... mining basic LTC for exchange, or, just mining BTC?

About a year ago, another algo mining exchanger site,  Wafflepool, went down for the count. That site had a running profitability comparison showing estimated value add for this or that algo vs LTC or BTC.  I'm sure it was not so accurate, but it could give miners a sense that ... X11 might be better today, or Scrypt-N, etc.

I'd like to see a profitability percentage vs LTC or BTC added in a column beside supported algo's on Yaamp.  It's helpful to know the more profitable algo both for setting up one's rig's, and also for watching the exchanges and / or rig rentals scene. .

To yaamp:

What's up with SAK? I was mining quark when SAK went live and got a share of the first block (1773850)
but then it just vanished from my earnings. The pool shows the block as matured. Where did my share go?

If we mine SAK, will we get DDoSed?
