its obvious yaamp has some issues ...

it would be real nice to have some updates as to what is happening ...

we are setting up some donation links to devs - so that anyone who wants to donate hashrate rather than just 'coin' can ...

we are miners - and that for us is the best way to do it ...

so no matter how small or large your hashrate is - you can donate via the donations links and it amalgamates teh entire hashrate that everyone puts in to donate to the dev using the available algos at the moment ...

the issues is this though - when your stratum disconnects and then does a reconnect - it creates a new 'user' on the site ... this ends up in 100 or more users of the SAME algo from the SAME ip ... which eventually crashes yaamp altogether ...

could you please - at the least - inform us all of what is actually happening currently ...

whether you are working on it or you are doing an upgrade or you even know about the issue ...

would be much appreciated - as we all want to get back to mining Wink ...

Hello

I had this same problem, connect and disconnect and lots of miners.

I need your help. I have a "Excalibur 5" and I can not use this pool that ASIC.
I insert in "Pool URL": stratum+tcp://yaamp.com:3433
Then "Username" I insert my wallet BTC, and finally in "Password" insert "c=BTC".
What am I doing wrong? I thank you for your help.

hmm, i itreyed to rent some quark hashpower yesterday. i see that there a lot of rent offers with prices up to 0.9 btc. but yaamp give only a little bit hashpower for 2 or 3 offers. and not even the best priced onces. all the time that i treyed, yaamp give only max. 66% from the rentable hashrate out to the buyers.

Quark port stops after one or two accepted shares, then it suddenly runs out of work

So there is no rent of Quark here?

The feature has been there for a while, there are some post about it here on the forum and there is a line about that on the yaamp.com (on the first page "Home")
I can agree that it is not that visible that it hits you in the face - the information is more between the lines.

From yaamp:

WALLET_ADDRESS can be of any currency we mine or a BTC address.
Use "-p c=SYMBOL" if yaamp does not recognize the currency correctly.
See the "Pool Status" area in the top right corner for PORT numbers.

There are some nagging that yaamp hurting the coins by dumping, so just for your information - there is the possibility on yaamp to get payed in any coin that is mined. So I would see it more as; it is the miners that are hurting the coins rather that yaamp that is just providing a service, and it is the miners choice to get payed in BTC or any other algo. (ha, this might create a discussion - but this is just my opinion and not any scientific fact)

Very interesting, is it a new feature? Or have I just missed it before? This could be a great way to support a coin, constantly buying it with other altcoins.

Hi

But off course I hope that yaamp can fix the connectivity issues with the service. This have been an issue for all of us.
As for me yaamp has been very good to me too, since I fount yaamp and that was very early, I have had better profit then maiming somewhere else.

One of the issues here is also that the information to the miners regarding profit is very detailed and pretty close to real time, which in turn is creating problem when people don't understand how to read the values. Someone got too much estimation on mining quark and get nervous and gets out.

I like the details in the information that yaamp is providing and I have seen similar issues with other pools that done the same, always complains about the payments due to that the estimates are just estimates and not the final figures.

Maybe it would be better to reduce the amount of details in the estimation and just show the real average. This maybe would make people less jumpy and also reduce the load on the servers and maybe solving some issues with connectivity? (this is a question to you that are mining with yaamp ;-))

cheers

This pool is starting to be down more then it is up now. Is this pool about to go under?

I can second that I've been getting frequent disconnects from the service for the last week or two. What's worse is that it actually crashes my mining executable, so the batch file will never pick back up until the error screen is cleared by human intervention. Leads me to long downtimes, which have me considering alternatives. This pool has been good to me though, so I'm trying to be patient.

Up until the past few weeks I've been very content with YAAMP since moving across.
Hopefully only a temporary issue...

OK, this is getting ridiculous : your API 'estimates' I'll make 6.2BTC per day with a single GTX 970 mining Quark.
Sorry YAAMP, but I have to remove you from the rotation...

can you recommend some other pool? im not satisfied with this one aswell.

Nicehash/Westhash?
Bonus point: it rents your hashrate to users who pay in BTC. So you don't hurt coins like YAAMP does.

The rented hashrate is also used to mine coins, so I think the effect is the same.

Sure, but YAAMP sells them immediately, which effectively lowers the coins value.
On Nicehash, you can hope people who buy your hashrate to have done their homework and chosen a coin because they believe in it and want to hold on to it.
Of course, I've seen people buying hashrate on NH and pointing it at YAAMP, even when profits on YAAMP are lower than the hashrate cost. But what are you gonna do? You have to let Darwin do his job...

If you want a more direct approach, you can also have a look at miningrigrentals. You put your rig for rent at a price of your choosing, and set a fallback pool for when your rig isn't rented. It can be more profitable than nicehash, but be careful with your prices: if you ask for less that NH pays, people will rent your rig and point it there. Sneaky bastards :-D
