Pornhub has started accepting cryptocurrency as a payment option, the company announced on Tuesday . The site now accepts Verge cryptocurrency (no relation to The Verge), a rebranded version of Dogecoindark, which split off from the original meme coin, Dogecoin, in 2014. Now, users can pay for any Pornhub features, including a Premium subscription, using Verge cryptocurrency. Pornhub’s adult sister sites, Brazzers and Nutaku, also accept Verge cryptocurrency now.Verge cryptocurrency is anonymity-focused, which is why Pornhub executives say they chose it over other potential partners. It should be noted that anyone can view Verge cryptocurrency transactions through its public ledger, but it uses the anonymity tool Tor and an anonymous network layer I2P to hide specific transactions’ IP addresses and locations. Since public ledgers often have their downfalls in protecting anonymity, users also choose to hide on Verge cryptocurrency’s private ledger.

If it would rise to 10 dollars right now, it already exceeded Bitcoin’s marketcap of $137.246.715.212. While it’s not impossible, it’s highly improbable in the near future for this to happen.
I do not know whether anyone will pay for porn when there is literally tons of free sites offering these contents, but why dont they accept popular cryptocurrencies like bitcoin instead they are accepting just Verge and i have not heard about this coin until now. If they want to see more users they need to start accepting bitcoin.

Verge has dumped after that bit of news, i guess people don't want to be associate with pornhub! They can accept the dark markets, but this is not street enough. I wonder if verge can recover from this or if they will switch to other privacy coins.

Why verge? because Pornhub company did select such thing.Even though we do see problems into their products but doesnt mean that they wont really be adapted. We are seeing currently verge do dumped its price after such announcement with the collaboration to Pornhub. We wont know on the things would happen ahead but they do really take consideration for a crypto to be accepted into their service on where this would really be beneficial to Verge hodlers And we don`t see the growth of this coin so much,so what will the future be?
Sounds like a big joke for me,XVG shouldnt be partnering to any of these pornsites,they could have found better partnership in the market these pornsites promotes nasty things,child porn and other shit stuffs,that is why it affects XVG's price action.Might be a big joke because the last time i have checked,i didnt find any news from official pornhub.

Is it the XVG? if yes that is bullshit,theres a lot of partnership that they can have why pornsites? is this another shit thing probably desperate moves to get that coin skyrocket? it might be a FUD but if pornhub has announced it already it is a big joke for me! because theres a lot of sites,brands or any partnership that they can but why pornsites? what a waste.
Imagine that Pornhub has just taken $ 1 million worth of Verge from selling movies, suddenly the market is down, and they lose 30% of that, they would not be happy.

I read somewhere on facebook yesterday that Porhub has a system in place that automatically converts the Verge coins into fiat currency so thats not really good for Verge if this is true. If they just convert Verge into fiat I dont see what Verge could gain from a partnership like that. Anybody have any more info if this is true?

It is considered as a big step for Verge to be partened with a powerful society in the porn industry as it also a great update in the pornhub model.
I think this is normal. There is demand, there is supply. They well suited each other and will help each other in development.
