Joao Felix's transfer to the Premier League is almost done.  In the next few hours, the Portuguese offensive fuller will go for medical visits to London, where the Blues would be ready to welcome him with great enthusiasm.  Before moving to England, the 1999 class signed a renewal with the Colchoneros until 2027 as reported by Fabrizio Romano.  Chelsea, which is very active on the transfer market, according to what was always reported by the Italian journalist's tweet, would have decided to cover the player's salary 100%.

This is actualy true.  Benfica is under investigation as well as its president who is accused of several frauds. Itis known that he  paid for referrees and tried to have advantages. This all with justice as there was someone spilling out a lot of information thta is negative not only to bemfica but as well to other teams.

There is still no accusation, only investigation of some members of the previous and current management.
However, it is unlikely that there will be very serious accusations, since what evidence there is is very subjective and may have been tampered with before reaching justice.
We are now waiting for what the investigations will turn out to be.

Sporting suffered another unexpected defeat, they lost to one of the worst teams in league Maritimo 1:0. Now they're 12 points behind 1st place and they can forget it. But now their situation in fight for Champions league spot becomes quite complicated.

sporting is an unstable team this season, they can lose against a weak team today and in the next games they win a game against a strong team and this happens because in each season when sporting is playing well they sell players, they are profit but the team is unstable, they start to have bad results, and as they already have profits from selling players, they don't get desperate because they couldn't sell a player, it's a very sad scenario that you see in the Portuguese league, it's something like the Bundesliga

I read news that Benfica is under investigation for being involved in fixed games between 2016 and 2020. If it will be confirmed, I think they can face similar faith like Juventus - lose of champions titles and kicked out to lower division
https://www.sportbible.com/football/benfica-match-fixing-portugal-957636-20230108

I am not seeing this news on the news channels in Portuguese, that means that they are not giving much importance to this case, if this news had many chances of being true or of obtaining evidence, the news channels in Portuguese would be posting this news everywhere and at all times, nothing else would be talked about, the focus would only be on this subject

Here is the league table after the 15th round:
...

the Portuguese league competition is quite tight, as happened in yesterday's match, Boavista narrowly won 1-0 from Gil Vicente and the goal that Boavista got came from Njie. in that match, Cannon also had to get a red card because of violation he made was quite hard. Boavista stop at 10th and Gil Vicente stop at 16th (relegation zone).

Yeah. Marítimo has been going through a rough phase with the Club's direction and the trainer. Finally, yesterday Marítimo had its second win in this championship against Sporting. What's funny here is that it seems that Marítimo intends to get back on track, while Sporting who was supposed to be fighting for first place, ends up losing points and getting way behind. Of course, this win is extremely important for Marítimo but in reality, Benfica is the one who gets out with an advantage from this game.

I myself didn't expect Maritimo to be able to win from Sporting because so far they have performed poorly but in fact, they were able to make it difficult for Sporting and luckily in the 55th minute Winck managed to score a penalty for Maritimo's victory. Sporting's next opponent is Benfica, I'm more sure of Benfica because as many people say, sporting in this season is very unstable.

The information itself is true. Some members of the board of Benfica and former members, were constituted defendants in a process that has been investigated for several years. Now, at the moment, it has not had much relevance in Portugal, because it is an old process and without major developments and this situation could be an attempt to avoid possible prescriptions.

What is making me mad withthe classification is that Maritimo is javing one of the worst years ever and is now  the second in last. Porto 0 - 0 casa pia

Without a doubt, the result of that game is a big joke for Porto, Porto had 45 minutes to play against an opponent who is not strong and who was playing with only 10 players, Porto had 74% of ball possession and even so Porto didn't manage to score many goals in that game, in fact not even at least 1 goal they didn't manage to score in that game, I was wondering what argument will Porto's coach use to justify this result? he did everything to win this game that even put more offensive players to score goals and still nothing worked. I still haven't seen the Porto coach's reaction in the press, it seems to me that he is avoiding talking about this game that looks more like a humiliation

In a way I have to agree. I think few bookmakers would say that the end result was a draw, let alone zero. Porto did not know how to take advantage of Benfica's defeat against Braga to stay close to first place. Now it has been overtaken by Braga in the standings. The championship is entering a very interesting phase and we will have a very lively second round.

Forget to tell something about it. Man, itt's great! But is it really worth to put so much efforts to post table? Wouldn't it be simpler to post screenshot from Flashscore or other app. It's bad that Bitcointalk don't allow to embedd code and post table in that way.

It took maybe 1 hour of work to assemble the table like this. But now, in just 5 minutes I'll be able to have the table updated every week.  Tongue

it gets tough sometimes when a team gets a red card and they go all they way back to defend the point they had, it did create a lot of trouble for Porto to play the way they used to play, and probably if Casa Pia had all 11 players they could have played with 9 in defense and 2 waiting for an attack, but with that red card all their players where defending, the bad thing for Porto is that they need points and 1 point is not enough to keep up with Benfica,

This round is very interesting so far. Porto didn't managed to beat Casa Pia, despite that one Casa Pia player got second yellow card in 2nd half, Porto didn't managed to score against parked bus. Well, Casa Pia is still going strong after World Cup break.
Yesterday Benfica won against Portimonense 1:0. They score early goal, but then things didn't went so easy for them as in most games this season. They failed to get more confident lead and even if it doesn't reflect in stats, Portimonense had chance to make score 1:1.
So, after this round Benfica regains 7 point lead against Porto, while Braga after their win is 6 points behind. Sporting is yet to play against Maritimo and next week we have derby between bENFICA AND sPORTING.

Do you like the format/presentation of this table? Any suggestion?

Braga win against the leader benfica a couple of rounds back made the league much more interesting since the gap will become 5 points if porto team manage to win the next game against casa pia a tough opponent this season, but its a golden opportunity for them especially that benfica will face sporting next so the gap might get even smaller.

1 - Benfica bought Darwin Nuñez for 24 million euros, they already had in mind that they were buying a rough diamond that they just needed to polish well and then sell and make a good profit, they weren't worried about buying a player to win the league and then they sold Darwin Nuñez to liverpool for 75 million euros, that is, they sold it for 3X the price they bought

2 - Benfica bought Enzo Fernández for 12 million euros and will sell him for 120 million euros, that is 10x the amount they bought, Benfica and the Bundesliga teams already have a millionaire business and they no longer need to worry in winning the leagues but for them to continue to expose their diamonds in the rough they need to be at the top of the league and be playing in the champions league even if it's just the group stage it's enough to gain exposure

To be honest, I can't fault them for selling those players. Only the top clubs in Europe will pass on an opportunity like that. These clubs don't make as much money as the big guns in Europe so player sales is a part of generating income. They would be making a mistake if they don't sell a player they got for 24 million euros for 75 million euros, especially considering the fact that the player is not all that. And even if he is all that, these players want to go o the best teams in Europe and no disrespect to the Portuguese teams, but they're not the best teams in Europe.
Now they have an opportunity to cash in on 10x the price they spent on Enzo, c'mon, lets be realistic, which club in their position wouldn't. Ajax bought Antony for 21 million euros and sold him for a hundred million.

Things are starting to heat up in the Portuguese league. After Benfica's defeat to Braga in the last few weeks, the points difference with Braga has dropped to 6 and this week there will be a battle between Benfica and Sporting Lisbon. Any point loss from this match will be in braga's favor. Braga will be one step closer. This week porto's job is not easy either. Their opponents are Casa pia, 5th in the league. And since it's away, they'll have a tough match ahead of them.

Benfica beat Portimonense by 1-0. Despite the goal being a penalty, Benfica had many opportunities throughout the game to score more goals. It wasn't a game with many goals, but it certainly served to give the team some morale again.

Today we will have Porto vs Casa Pia, a game in which Porto certainly has everything to win, despite the excellent season that Casa Pia has been having.

I really love it, mate. It's like looking at the standings made by Google. I think it would be better if you implemented this standings in @OP, so that when readers open this topic, they can immediately find the most complete data about league standings without having to do a search first. Maybe we can also contact the creators of league topics to make their @OP like this, so we can move on to the next level on league topics.

Thanks for the suggestion, and I will maybe do that in the next update.

What is making me mad withthe classification is that Maritimo is javing one of the worst years ever and is now  the second in last. Even worst, if they do not improve or get some good results they are in to go down to the second division which never happened before. Maritimo is actually my preferred team in the world as they are my homeland team. I just wish they can turn things around and avoid any remission.

Santa Clara 0 - 4 Braga

great victory for braga, after they had crushed benfica, this time they went to crush santa clara who had no reaction condition, with this result braga is in second place, and has a chance of becoming champion too if benfica loses points, in this condition Porto is forced to win in their next game if they want the distance between them and Benfica not to be too big and if they want to become champions Porto cannot lose points in their next game.

it will be very interesting to see how this competition between benfica, braga and porto will be in the next games because this is a very interesting competition, the 3 teams are over goals teams, they manage to score a lot of goals
