And finally the Portuguese championship is over
I'll wait for joker to post his beautiful final table to make some comments, and I'll also do my analysis of the bets I made

But I'll tell you right now that I've lost the long bet I had on Porto winning this season 

Sporting's campaign was awesome, with only two defeats and an incredible 96 goals, 29 of which were scored by Viktor Gyökeres
In the last 10 years, only Benfica in 18-19 scored more than 96 goals, with an unbelievable 103 goals 

In the Porto and Braga match, Porto holds a greater advantage. With a draw being enough for Porto to settle properly in their position, the pressure may be less intense on their side compared to Braga, who have to fight hard to secure a victory to get to a better spot on the table. This advantage added with Porto's all time resilience in crucial encounters makes  them more favorable for the match result. Braga has more chance to derail in pressing situations and this could increase Porto's confidence ahead of the game.

 The recent match between Rio Ave and Benfica showed the unpredictable nature of football, with Rio Ave managing to hold off the stronger Benfica side with a late penalty goal. Despite Benfica's impact in possession and attacking efforts, Rio Ave's defense was able to dissolve their attempts to secure a victory. This result shows the importance of resilience and creative play, qualities that Porto somehow possess and may try take on in their match against Braga, especially given Braga's struggling state in crucial games. As the season draws to a close, both Porto and Braga are fighting for crucial outcomes that will aid their chances to European competitions.

 For Porto, securing a spot in the UEFA Europa League group stage is a good achievement, giving opportunities for further development and experience on the continental stage. Braga's ambition to secure victory and maybe qualify for European competitions shows the stakes of the game With both teams motivated by their respective objectives, the clash would definitely be an intense and compelling encounter, with Porto aiming to dwell on their advantages and Braga hoping to overrun expectations and secure a memorable victory.

Rio Ave vs Benfica ended in a draw with 93rd minute goal on penalty by Costinha was enough for the Rio Ave to hold the hot favourite Benfica in this game which is not going to play Champions League qualification in coming season due to having second spot in Liga Portugal in this game we have well control by the Benfica but still their efforts were not enough to have more goals in this game due to tight defense of Rio Ave which end this season at the 11th spot due to having 19 draw games in this season.

Now we are heading for the another exciting game which is going to play between Braga vs FC Porto with Porto needs to hold their nerve for having third spot and going to have their spot for the UEFA Europa League group stage in case of lost they can go for the qualification with most chances we will be having positive end of the Porto which is having good edge against Braga which is having history of choking into important games.

The Portuguese championship is competitive, as in the last 10 years the winner always had to have more than 80 points, with differences of 3 to 5 points from the second. That's why Benfica didn't have a bad season, they just had less positive results against teams that theoretically they should beat easily.

He really should have done more in European competitions, as he had a capable squad and didn't have very difficult opponents.

That's why I mention tradition as a point to consider in decisive games
Porto, even though they haven't had a very good campaign, are more used to playing decisive and important matches than Braga, and that could be an advantage

Benfica ended their campaign with a draw, 80 points and second place in the league
Not bad, they only lost four times and I'd say that was a good result for Benfica, but I would have liked them to have qualified for the Champions League, or at least the semi-finals of the Europa League

Despite that this is going terrible for Porto, I think their chances is better. First of all because draw is enough for them, while Braga needs to win it. As you said, I also have impression that Braga usually chokes on big games.
Rio Ave - Benfica is starting soon, while rest of games will be played tomorrow to conclude 2023/24 season.

The Portuguese league have teams with higher impacts in the league games and European contests too. Benfica, Sporting, Porto are most impactful in this regard. Porto are doing well in the league and also have good performance records in the UCL too even though they weren't able to keep up with their good performance in their last league game which wasn't so acceptable. Same scenerio applies for Benfica and Sporting who's got their own record in the European cups too.

 In terms of the domestic performances, the league seems less competitive though as there are still weeks left and just these 3teams are trying to make good wave in the league. Over the years it's still these three that have been the most talked about because of the feats they've attained. One would be so sure to bet on these teams and their ability to keep progressing in points in their league games. At this moment, the upper handed team to lifting the trophy is Sporting and they've proven so far to be better than the other teams.

 There are still  games to be played and decided upon but it all seems maybe to end well as they are a good number of points ahead of the other teams on the table. For the game between Braga and Porto, Braga being the favourited team and showing their strengths, it's acceptable that they have the potential for them to place Porto on pressure. For me though, I feel Braga is more likely to be victorious in the game based on their  capabilities to being competitive so far in their games.

Tradition in football is something to take into consideration, and Porto has more tradition than Braga. Could it be an advantage for the team or not?

Another thing I was thinking about is that Porto could finish in 3rd place in the championship, and still win Taça de Portugal, but if they lose these two games, the loss will be very big, finishing in 4th, without a direct spot in the Europa League and without winning any titles this season

I'm anxious here too see the final results and these 2 last games 

What do you think about Sporting to complete the season with 2 titles? 

They have missed the chance to go for a treble because of being eliminated in the League Cup. But they have a finale to play in Taça de Portugal on May 26. It is against Porto though which isn't an easy work. They haven't lost to Porto yet during this season.

However Porto are the winner of last 2 seasons also.    I will probably bet on Sporting but I don't see the odds yet. Or I couldn't find it.
