Regarding that image posting part, you can omit the 'url' tags, it will work fine.

I remember you have a topic or post (?) in German about websites to upload images. I forgot to bookmark that one so would you mind sharing it again, please.

It is helpful for the topic as well and sometimes people would like to have multiple choices or need alternative when their favorite does not work. Obviously, imgur seems to be the best to use on the forum.

There are many of these tools are not actually always being use but it is alright as long as one know these tools and how to use it.

It's good to see that information shared by me is helpful to you and you can learn from it and it hope you use them in your posting and make it slightly better and more attractive and you must make use tools in your posting style.

First of all thanks for kind words.The main of creating this thread was to aware members how they can improve their posting style and with proper indication to show them which tool is used for each separate working to help you.So I try to keep it as simple as I can so as it is easily understood by all the readers and they can implement it.

Surprisingly you are the only newbie replied in this thread which also happened after the bump so hopefully you understand how the posting works in bitcointalk but I want you to remember something, image posted by a newbie will not show up even if it is in the correct format and the reason also exist in the above posts so you need to achieve atleast jr.Member Rank to Post images or buy the copper membership to enjoy the member rank perks even if you are a newbie.

Just want to congratulate you for bringing up this, it's obvious that this post is not educating or impacting knowledge only for the newbies alone, even some members who have secured some certain positions here, what impressed me so much is the descriptions which op indicates with arrows and give a direct function of each with numbers, at least a newbie who don't know how to use those functional keys will be able to understand very fast without hesitation, because the explanation is quite understood, i really applaud you op.

I have some clarification on this one. When you want to post images, the link you use must end in an image format like .jpg, .png or . gif for the image to show. If you want to post gif there is a file size required, I think non-gif is also 2.5mb. According to this post I quoted from this  thread, the required max file size is 2.5mb.You can post whatever gif you can post as long as the file is 2.5mb or else the result will be "bitcointalk proxy. Invalid image" . For more information, open the thread. It's copper membership and not cooper membership.


Quoting images posted by newbies who are using this code will surely show the images either jpg png or gif.

It looks like a requirement that was originated in september 2015 due to abuse of some sort at the time:

Although back then, reaching Jr. Member rank was trivial (only based on Activity), since September 2018 it also required having earned at least 1 Merit (see Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements).

I just fear this post will get buried with time and new people will continue to ask the same questions. I never got why you would have to achieve a certain rank before posting pictures, makes not much sense to me. There are some useful info here that I didn't know, so thanx for that I mean, is there any way to make it mandatory to read posts like this before starting on the forum? Like right after registration?

First, kudos for the effort. This post should be seen by senior forum members too, as many don't really care much about the way the post, especially when it comes to quoting.

I would just like to add that it's not needed to adjust both width and height when resizing images. One is enough and the other value will adjust automatically to preserve iamge ratio. From time to time I see people changing both  width and height and that way distorting the image if ratio is not correct.

I'm not sure if anyone has already done something similar (I think it probably is), but apart from the fact that every member of the forum should turn on the brain when writing their posts, it would certainly be desirable to use all available forum features to make it easier and more enjoyable for everyone to follow the forum.

What I would especially like to emphasize is the inappropriate use of the quote option - because it makes no sense to quote more posts, and the answer refers only to a part of one post. Every quoted post can be edited, and that’s just a few seconds of work. I also have to admit that I find it really weird to see some older members who haven’t yet learned to resize images, which just shows that they don’t care for those who access the forum from slow internet connections or have limited data traffic.

Sometimes the newbie asking for help with a technical issue with less information on the technical and wallet, which makes the information provided biased and incomprehensible. you have to add also the format of how to post with accurate information like this

First of all welcome you all and hope you learn some good posting technique with this thread although i am not also an expert but will try to tell you that I know. Some beginners tips for how to write posts in proper manner and create threads to share knowledge.

So you need to achieve it but there is shortcut for it if you want to add images in your post which is buy copper membership. Buy cooper membership here . But if you have achieved the junior member rank then you could follow this procedure:

Step 1: Go to image uploading site like imgbb to upload the image there

Step 2: Select the image you want to post and upload it

Step 3: Your image will be uploaded

Step 4: From the links below click on the BBC code full linked

Step 5: Copy the link and paste it on your post

1. BOLD : If you want to write anything in bold characters simply click on that button or you can type in yourself in this manner
