Alright guys, some of you may of heard that we have announcement planned for today, as you are busy reading this, you can see that's true. So, let's get down to the nitty gritty.

Alpha Release 0.1

What does this mean?

All contributors and community fund members are immediately confirmed to be Alpha testers, 13/30. If you are not a Contributor or Community Fund holder, please reply that you’d like to be a tester (first come, first serve).

If you are a contributor or community fund member and you are NOT able to participate in the Alpha 0.1 Release, please do mention it so we can share your slot with somebody else whom may be interested in testing.

We will run this post for 5 days (9th March 2018) and acceptance of testers will be closed, once done, we will notify those testers on the day to please join our Discord so we can communicate the necessary.

How will this testing take place?

We’re using Swagger API Explorer (CLICK ME) for our “GUI” that’s important because you’ll need some experience in REST APIs (its simple, POST, PUT & GET calls), however, we’ll be creating a user manual on our WIKI so you can see the commands in order to play with your wallets (transactions etc…)

Further details on how you will share your wallet address amongst the testers will be made clear closer to the time.

Specifics of the release:

Only 1 node will be running, this because we are starting to benchmark the bare minimum speed of the transactions with everything stripped down to test one the use cases of Sneak (value transfer).

What’s important to note?
In order to clearly define expectations we’re outlining what you will be able to do and what you won't be able to do. Here are the details:

What does this include?

Create Wallet
Create addresses, each wallet can have multiple addresses
Create tokens
Send transactions
Receive transactions
Retrieve blocks

What this release does not include:

GUI
Encryption
Privacy
Zero-knowledge Proof of Work
Security

When will testing begin?

Fri (09 March) / Sat (10 March)
Will run indefinitely

Once you've replied within this thread, please join our || Discord!!

Sneak Community Fund to early adopters of DAG and privacy enabled cryptocurrency.

We know how important early adopters of DAG and privacy enabled cryptocurrencies are and especially those who are willing to take a risk. The intentions of these individuals cannot go unnoticed, therefore we have created a Community Fund for early adopters which have donated to any project that has the goal of being a DAG and privacy enabled cryptocurrency.

Review the guidelines below in order to see if you are eligible for $SNK tokens.

IMPORTANT: Sneak Community Fund Rules

1. Community Fund will be capped at 5% of the total MAX SUPPLY

2. Community Fund will operate for 5 days OR when cap has been reached

3. First come, first serve basis (sorted by date of post - and ONLY if all conditions have been met).

4. Donations after 28th February 2018 will not be considered

5. Sent donations will be calculated in USD

6. Donated amount of the given cryptocurrency will be calculated when the donations of the external project was sent*

7. The amount of tokens in which you will avail will be calculated at the rate of $0.02/ 0.000001872560989311422 BTC (IE. If you have donated 1ETH = $883.41, you are eligible for 44,170.50 $SNK

8. The total $ value of the 5% cap is equal to $185,601.00 at the given rate

The mechanism is important for transparency of other users.

IMPORTANT: Every step needs to be read and completed in its entirety anything that is missed or incomplete will be considered as non-void.

1. You will need to contact us through this post

2. With the message, please include the following:
2.1 Bitcointalk thread (of the DAG & Privacy project in which you donated to)
2.2 Address of the receiving donation
2.3 Transaction details of the sent transaction (IE - https://etherscan.io/tx/0xb2eebf31b4d03a749e9f1861b12a4e7c29a6e271f3977d1b6554a673362dae82)
2.4 In order for us to verify that you own the address in which you donated from the following will need to happen:
2.4.1 We will send a transaction of the lowest amount of that cryptocurrency to the address in which you have given
2.4.2 The EXACT amount will have to be sent back without fail in the next 24 hours of receiving the transaction.

3. Once the confirmation has been received for the transaction, we will post your username as reference on our PRE-ANN for transparency.

What was the method of distribution which was said to be announced later on opening page ? Hopefully isn't donation the only way to get these coins. That allocation percentage looks good but need to see how it moves ahead. Nothing is clear yet but need to read at the same time previous pages.

Distribution is yet to be confirmed, it will not be through donations.

An example would be faucet / captcha distribution OR gamification / donating to a charity to help the homeless etc, all ideas are welcome, but we are going to discuss this with the wider community.

Hey guys,

We’ve touch base a little on our Sneak Architecture in Part 1 (describing ZeroMQ briefly) and if you haven’t noticed, we’re doing a little part series going into a little more detail but still digestible on how the Sneak Architecture is setup

Part 2 we’ll give some details on CurveZMQ which is used primarily to secure ZeroMQ.

Lets break it down and firstly lets understand the role and goals of CurveZMQ:

1. CurveZMQ aims to provide the same level of security as CurveCP
2. Aims to prevent eavesdropping
3. Fraudulent data
4. Altered data
5. Replay attacks
6. Amplification attacks
7. Man-in-the-middle attacks
8. Key theft attacks
9. Identity attacks
10. Certain denial-of-service attacks

Its extremely important to note that CurveZMQ provides the same level of security as CurveCP for those who are a little unfamiliar with it from a cryptography standpoint it’s similar to TCP but uses high-speed, high-security elliptic-curve cryptography to protect every packet against espionage, corruption, and sabotage (which is further broken down above).

We mentioned CurveZMQ was to secure ZeroMQ (our distributed messaging layer) but how?

Giving a little background.

1. CurveZMQ uses the Curve25519 elliptic curve, which was designed by Daniel J. Bernstein to achieve good performance with short key sizes (256 bits).
2. The protocol establishes short-term session keys for every connection to achieve perfect forward security
4. Session keys are held in memory and destroyed when the connection is closed.
5. Secure client and server end-to-end

All the above is inherited from CurveCP, if you want to know more about CurveCP, highly suggest this as a resource -  CurveCP

If you want to know a lot more about CurveZMQ, best place to educate yourself would be through here - CurveZMQ
As we dont want to flood everyone with information (you can still find a lot of resources on our original post), we're going to be going into a lot more detail in our Whitepaper (yes, technical).

As mentioned too, we're putting the architecture together in a visual piece so its a lot easier to understand.

We're looking forward to any questions.

Have an awesome weekend.

Thanks,
Sneak.
Great. The team looks very dedicated and really focusing on the product rather than seeking donations and wasting time on 'token distribution'

Few questions for sneak. Will there be code we can review at any point before the deployment of testnet? Just curious because there have been other projects with no code release and they are said to be scams.

Yes, definitely, there will be couple of bounties for code review. The project will be open sourced like you say, before or during the testnet.

As a reminder, please note that the Community Fund will be closing as of tomorrow @ 10PM GMT+4 (does not mean it's gone forever).

If you're new to this thread you'll need to have a look here - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.31218022
You may know someone whom could be eligible, it's incredibly important that you help them out and make sure they are aware of it.

Our road ahead is looking promising and we're all going to need a strong and positive community who have belief, trust and an understanding of the importance of what we're building to ensure privacy is a basic human right. (We're also building something really cool!)

To all of those that have read and commented, thanks a lot for the support!

I'd be wary donating to these types of coins.

Lots of private/DAG projects that all look the same, asking for 'donations' with no proof of project.

Anyone can create a ERC20 token

DAG is a novel product with no block, and it does not retain large block capacity like the block chain.
