Yes of course, every manager would be disappointed after being knocked out of a major competition like the CL, but when it comes to penalty shootout it's all about luck. They did their best but luck was on Real Madrid's side and the Los Blancos scaled through. Pep's hope of winning a treble this time around has been dashed to the ground, but he still has the EPL and FA cup to fight for. He should give them his best shot cuz It'd be too bad to go trophy less after being tip to win each of these competitions.

I don't believe that penalty shootouts are completely about luck. Because some goalkeepers are really good at reading at which corner a player will shoot.  Smiley  In the same way penalty masters mostly make difference also.

Lunin was very impressive with his saves. Did you see Rüdiger's help for Lunin on Kovacic's penalty too?  Grin  These nice details really make big difference during penalty shootouts. Manchester City were just not good enough.

Guardiola missed a big opportunity surely. I was seeing like the winner of that matchup would lift the CL trophy also and now it will most probably be Real Madrid doing it. Anyways, Guardiola had better focus on securing the PL and FA Cup trophies as of now.

The path for Manchester City to win the Premier League title looks easy because they no longer play in the Champions League.
Yeah Manchester City doesn’t play in champions league again, and if you can check the matches left for Manchester City to play, then those matches shouldn’t be difficult for them, the only match which I think might end up giving Manchester City difficult moment this season is Tottenham, and am not really satisfied with Tottenham performance lately, so Manchester city should be able to win them also, Manchester City already missed the champions league this season, they won’t want to lose the premier league again.

On the one hand, their failure to advance from the Champions League to the semifinals had a positive impact on the Premier League and FA Cup.
Manchester will have to focus on both premier league and FA cup, let’s see how Manchester City will play in their next FA cup match against Chelsea, the match is not going to be a easy one because we all know Chelsea to be a inconsistent team this season, but they are always playing well when playing against strong clubs, and we all can see how Manchester city are playing well this season, the match won’t be easy.

with Manchester City's performance which I think is always optimistic, I think they can overcome all the teams that will face them, including Tottenham who you said will be a problem for them, I'm sure Manchester City can overcome it well even though it won't be so easy. The luck is with Manchester City because Arsenal and Liverpool, who lost their last match, can still keep Manchester City safe in their ranking.

I think we need to see what each of these top 3 big buys outcome will be tomorrow. If Manchester City win their match, I think they still have high chance of becoming the Champions with 5 more games to go but you see Arsenal and Liverpool, if any of them lose their tomorrow match, then their journey for the battleship of the league title will come to an end because Manchester City will be given them 5 extra point difference which will be very difficult to cover.

Quote
With their point difference which can be said to be thin, there is a possibility that Manchester City could be shifted from the rankings but I think with their remaining matches they will be able to overcome the teams that will face them.  because I think currently Manchester City is performing quite well.

There is possibility but only if Manchester City fuck up their next game and we both know that team wouldn't allow such to happen, they wouldn't not after losing Champions League, they will bag the remaining FA cup and Premier League to ease their disappointment on Real Madrid but if football happen, then Liverpool and Arsenal might have a chance but it's low chance for them honestly.

If you look at their opponents in the remaining games in the league and FA cup I think City have a big chance of winning both. Tottenham could be a problem for them but I think City can handle it. Actually, all three teams still have the same chance. Even one defeat could shift City's position. But the problem is that Arsenal and Liverpool performed poorly in their last matches. This means that even if City loses to Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool are not teams that are expected to win all their remaining matches, if you look at their recent performance. Arsenal and Liverpool also still have matches against Tottenham. And the chances of City losing to Tottenham are very, very small.

Pep Guardiola deserved to be disappointed with the final result of the match because two of his mainstay players actually failed to execute penalties. Kovacic and Bernardo Silva failed to convert their chances into goals, which is the reason why Manchester City failed to qualify for the semi-finals this season. Real Madrid are lucky, it is a good sign for them this season.

I think Man City still has a big chance of winning the Premier League and FA Cup trophies but that can only happen if they play with all their might, and they did not dwell on their defeat in the Champions League. In the Premier League, the opponent who might be able to trouble them is Tottenham Hotspur and it was an away match for Man City. Meanwhile, in the FA Cup, Man City will face quite a tough obstacle because in the semifinals they have to play against Chelsea, and if they win, they will most likely meet Man United in the final.

Liverpool elimination from the European League means the 3 top teams can focus on the EPL alone to fight for 1 trophy. And that will definitely make the competition even tighter so as not to lose any more points in the remaining matches they have. With no schedule outside the EPL, coaches are increasingly required to work harder because only the EPL trophy is still open for grabs and like it or not the players have to use all their abilities and energy. Both Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool have to move on from their bad results, although personally I am disappointed that there are no more Premier League representatives in the UCL and Europa League. Regarding the FA Cup, it depends on Man City whether they will be serious about getting it or just the EPL or both it depends on them.

This season City have not been able to beat Chelsea. This shows that Chelsea can play solidly when they meet City. They even tied with a score of 4-4. But I don't think it can be used as a reference for the FA cup semi-final match.

City came with the motivation to win 2 championship titles. After being eliminated from the UCL, I'm sure City will have more motivation to win the FA Cup. They also don't have a busy schedule and Pep can rotate players by fielding their best squad. Although Chelsea has good statistics in the last two H2H results matches but City can beat Chelsea in some matches before that.

City do not have any difficult games in their remaining league games except Tottenham. So they can really go all out for the match against Chelsea.

It wasn't even about the beating side of it, Chelsea between these two fixtures played better than Manchester City, we don't need stress too much on this topic, you can go see for yourself. The second leg was even interesting as they went ahead to frustrate Erling Haaland during the game. Thanks to Rodri with his goal to salvage a point.

Pep Guardiola bragged about winning the treble again this season, he never said nothing about winning two Championships, it has always been three.
Chelsea with enough rest and Manchester City with tired legs after drawing the gake against Real Madrid. My opinion is that, The game would end in a full time draw and Manchester City would be knocked out of the Fa Cup Competition.

Brighton is also a tough side and Manchester City would be playing away from home. These underdogs would even cause more chaotic experience than we can imagine.

Manchester City have temporarily secured the top position of the Premier League table and after being eliminated from the Champions League of course now every remaining competition will be very valuable for them including the FA, in prestige of course the FA Cup is not comparable to the EPL trophy but still they will target to end the season with the remaining two trophies,  Chelsea did manage to hold Manchester City to a draw in two games this season, but for the semi-finals later, of course, I doubt Chelsea will be able to win, because indeed the semi-final match will Manchester City field their main squad besides that, isn't the semi-final match a must-win match for both teams?

Manchester City performance was extraordinary when holding Madrid to a draw, although in the end they lost but I think it will be very difficult for Chelsea to face Manchester City if Manchester City play like against Madrid yesterday, different from Manchester City, of course you can see if Chelsea's current performance is unstable in the game in the league so I think it is very risky for us to want to bet on Chelsea's victory at this time.

You are right, even though Manchester City leads the standings with a gap of 2 points from Liverpool and Arsenal, basically they are not completely safe. Arsenal and Liverpool can take advantage of any mistakes made by Manchester City in the next 6 matches, but of course Arsenal and Liverpool must consistently win in every match. The competition will still continue and everything will be determined in the next 6 matches, but if Arsenal and Liverpool lose points again then it will be difficult to expect Manchester City to give up their chance to secure the title.

Manchester City will fully try to secure its title in the Premier League this season after they failed in the Champions League. The Premier League is one of two titles they can still secure at the end of the season, the other being the FA Cup.

These two competitions must be serious. The FA Cup is already in the semifinals and the Premier League only has 6 matches left.
Apart from Spurs, Brighton is also an opponent that should not be underestimated.

With City failing in the Champions League, City can now focus on its Domestic League competition. as you said, City's way of defending their title in the League makes it even easier for them. Moreover, City is currently at the top of the standings. However, that doesn't mean City will go smoothly through the matches they will play later. Maybe, the impact of failure in the Champions League could affect the motivation of Pep Guardiola's squad. However, theoretically City is a strong team, they have a mentality that has been tested by the various opponents they will face. The failure in the quarter-finals of the Champions League was truly a shame, overnight two English representatives had to be eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

But now what is certain is that City must forget its failure against Madrid. Tomorrow, Pep Guardiola's team must prepare their team to overthrow Chelsea in the FA Cup. After that, maybe the team that could become an obstacle for City is Brighton, Tottenham, or even another mediocre team in the remaining 6 matches until the end of the season. So, Pep still has to focus so that his team doesn't experience problems, let alone slip up. because Liverpool and Arsenal are ready to overtake the ranking occupied by Manchester City. I think this competition is still very exciting to enjoy, and changes in the standings can change every week as long as the competition is not over.

Don't be surprised when Manchester City g ys knocked out of the FA Cup Competition this same way. Have you seen them against Chelsea this season?  Maybe you have forgotten or something?
Chelsea during the both games they have played in the Premier League Competition have been the better side in general during the home and away games played.
Jack Grealish shouldn't be handed a start, he has been nothing but a big joke for Manchester City.

Guardiola is coming back to the Premier League with a really disappointing Champions League elimination. From now on his main target is going to be to win the titles in remaining tournaments.

By this I mean not only the Premier League but also the FA Cup. The FA Cup semi final game against Chelsea is only two days later. So far Manchester City have had big problems on beating Chelsea. However I don't expect the same thing here. I think they will reach the finale. When it comes to the Premier League they have already captured an important advantage of two points. They will give their everything for winning the league title without doubt.

Chelsea just failed to manage these games, or should I say they didn't defend well until the very end?
The so called Chelsea Football club won six goals to nothing the other day against Everton. I will not write of the blues, I'm tipping them for another finals against Manchester United after losing the first one to Liverpool.

Jack Grealish shouldn't be handed a start, he has been nothing but a big joke for Manchester City.

6 matches, but Man City has a match schedule that in my opinion has a greater chance of winning the match. Of course, this is only a prediction based on the potential of the players, where the results in the match may not match expectations, even though City has better players than their opponents. Therefore, I think it is less possible for Liverpool and Arsenal to catch these points, even if you think it is only 2 points.
Manchester City now no longer has a busy schedule like before where it had to play 3 competitions at before, namely the Champions League, English League and FA Cup. Now Manchester City only has 2 competitions left, namely the FA Cup and the English League, the FA Cup may not be a priority. Manchester City's main goal, but he can still get through it well if he is able to beat Chelsea in the semifinals. Meanwhile, Manchester City's priority right now is to win the Premier League title and defend it like before. Manchester City still wants to dominate, so Manchester City's opportunity to be at the top will continue is an opportunity for Manchester City not to lose points in the remaining 6 matches.

If you look at the match schedule, Manchester City doesn't have any tough opponents in the next 6 matches and Manchester City should be able to win all of these matches and not give their opponents the opportunity to surprise them. Yes, even though that club cannot be underestimated, with the performance that Manchester City has I have no doubts about Manchester City and will definitely continue to use full strength because Manchester City is no longer competing in the Champions League.

yep, Man City dominance is still the main factor in giving Man City a strong push to win another title in the EPL, but the problem here is that Liverpool, which is only 2 points behind, can still take over the top of the standings if they can steal 3 points from Fulham in the upcoming match.
on the one hand, Fulham is currently still a team that is having difficulty maintaining consistency and more precisely looks like a mediocre team that will only finish below the top 10 in the EPL standings.
meanwhile, Man City is currently feeling down with their failure to win the UCL title because they were defeated by Real Madrid and it has been proven that Man City this season is not as strong as last season and Liverpool still has a big chance to take over the top of the standings.

Arsenal, more precisely, mentally is not ready to compete for the EPL title this season even though they have an experienced line up of players but in fact they are still having difficulty maintaining consistency and I will say once again that Arsenal has no chance of getting the EPL title this season.
The EPL race is still going fierce even though we’ve had Arsenal and Liverpool dropping points over the weekend which saw Man City end the gameweek comfortably in top spot. This is what makes the epl one of the toughest league across Europe as the competition in the league is usually top notch and one that you wouldn’t want to miss.

Man City are very dominant and each time they get to the top of the league, I think that’s when teams should get scared of them more because of their fierce attack line. Well Liverpool have been able to win them in time past despite the dominance of Pep and his City side and so many are still tipping Liverpool to repeat such victory again.

Between Liverpool and Arsenal, Liverpool have the better chance because of the experience as compared to Arsenal who probably right now the mentality of the players might have dropped especially after the loss over the weekend and the Ucl elimination. Liverpool will play Fulham this weekend and you’ll sure predict Liverpool being able to thrash this Inconsistent fulham side.

Man City loss to Real Madrid could either build up the players mentality or destroy it and as such this is to say Liverpool or Arsenal could take the advantage this weekend. The issue now is Arsenal ready for a challenge because they have to beat an improved Chelsea side to be able to get their feet back in the race.

The English Premier League is affordable for both the elite and average team. Every one knows their favorite team weakness and strong momentum. It's not going to help if we gamble based on hyped stats and not focusing on the main objectives in the system. There are presence of elite clubs in the world of football, I'm just here listening to the good fighting that's not even consistent because these elite teams are having challenges. Manchester City elimination from the UEFA quarter finals made everyone upset. Pep Guardiola and his team will fight to recover their previous losses.

He might be disappointed, but, at the same time, he's pretty happy with the team's performance. At least he seemed so during the post-match interview.
They dominated Real in every metric other than goals. They had over 4 times more shots on goal than the Spanish team, but they were just down on luck.
For the tournaments like this, a little things can decide on who goes through and who drops out. Man City has nothing to be ashamed of for yesterday's game (maybe except for Silva who could've done better in his penalty attempt).
Manchester City were really unlucky in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals this season. They failed to meet the expectations of most people who favored them to go through to the semi-finals instead of Real Madrid, but in football there are always surprises. Real Madrid tended to defend throughout the match as Manchester City dominated well, but only De Bruyne was able to score while others failed to do so including Haaland.

Yes I agree with you guys because indeed from the match schedule we can already find out if Manchester City has no pressure and only have hope in the Premier League and the FA Cup while this competition does not put any pressure because the opponents faced are only clubs that have often been often faced by Manchester City.
Right now I am a little sad to see the failure of Manchester City but at least there is still hope to prove to all fans that the PL title and the FA Cup can be easily achieved by Manchester City.
No matter how strong the obstacles in the rest of this match, Pep Guardiola was able to overcome all these obstacles and would not let Liverpool or Arsenal win the first position.

This is all just a prediction from what I have seen because everyone here definitely knows how big Manchester City's chances are of winning the PL title this season but we also don't know whether there will be any big surprises this season because the point difference is very thin. .
Arsenal could actually have a chance to win the title this season but they have to continue to win in the remaining matches and Manchester City has to lose at least once and at that time Arsenal still has a big chance to lead the Premier League.
It won't be that easy because Manchester City is currently still a club known for its quality players and reliable coaches and one defeat is unlikely to happen.

considering that Manchester City performance this season is very good, even though they occasionally experience defeats, they can lead at the top of the rankings, what he said is true, the points of Manchester City and Arsenal and Liverpool are not much different, namely only two points apart there is a possibility that both teams it could overtake Manchester City position,  but considering Manchester City good performance and they have good players perhaps in the next match they will not have difficulty adding points so they can continue to be at the top of the rankings.

with their upcoming matches with other teams, I think Manchester City can match it maybe even better than that. Manchester City must be able to maintain its ranking this season, because no one knows what the future holds maybe Liverpool or Arsenal can overtake them, but as you said even though they are only two points apart, it is unlikely that they will be able to catch those two points.
I do agree that City played good again, but I have seen them do a lot better before, this season both at Premier league and now we have seen at UCL as well, they weren't as good as last year for example where they won both of them. Premier league got super close as well, they have two teams chasing them and with just one tie they would have a chance to lose the entire league as well.

There are few games left of the season and with just 2 losses they could end the entire season with zero titles or cups as well. I am not saying that is what we are going to see, but normally City ends seasons with at least one cup, and seeing them not win anything at all would be very difficult for the fans and definitely for the staff, Pep would be furious.

It's easy to beat Tottenham as long as ange as totenham coach continues to use his shitty tactics against the city. I don't see it as a serious issue because Tottenham consistently plays so poorly in all matches by implementing a high line defensive strategy which can be countered easily through use quick counter attack. Ange was extremely harsh, and he never accepted criticism from others regarding his tactics and i don't know why he keeps believe on his monotone tactic.

Manchester City has easier fixtures than Liverpool or Arsenal, both of whom will face numerous major clubs at the end of the season and it's increase city's probability to win the competition a lot. I am confident that City will win the Premier League trophy again this season, especially with ez fixtures increasing the chances of success.
City is not burdened by UCL because it lost to Real Madrid. Pep Guardiola's main focus is to ensure that his club wins two trophies this season, one from the Premier League and one from the FA Cup.
