Two teams from North London lost simultaneously to their opponents in last night's match and it was quite a crushing defeat when they needed full points to maintain their consistency. Arsenal and Spurs were very disappointing and were unable to beat their opponents in that match and even conceded goals in two different halves. I think here Arsenal seem to have lost their way even though they are very favored to win at home and again they couldn't win against West Ham. A humiliating defeat when they had the opportunity to move Liverpool back to the top of the standings and they had to accept a defeat that should not have happened.

As for Spurs, they should be able to win even though it was an away game against Brighton, even though De Zerbi's men have not been very consistent in the last few matches and it looks like Ange's squad is unable to beat Brighton. Spurs had conceded 4 goals before Veliez and Davies reduced the score to 4-2. I understand even if Spurs lose that match, but for Arsenal it feels very unreasonable and like they don't have a winning mentality.

West ham now seem to have understood Arsenal so well and did prepared against Arsenal's defense line while theirs was kept intact as well, west Hams victory yesterday was deserving as they did played so well enough to have won that game, this is a valid indication that what happened to Arsenal last season may repeat it self again this season as they may be unable to win the league title after getting to the top a few times, Arteta needs to be a dynamic and not repeating same style and pattern to the point he turns out very much predictable.

West Ham's victory over Arsenal will open space for other teams to expose Arsenal's weaknesses. I agree with your words that Arteta needs to find a dynamic game tactic so that it cannot be easily read by opponents. I don't really know how football tactics but I see in broad outline that that night West Ham really appeared neatly even though Arsenal dominated with dozens of shots and 75% possession of the ball.
The strategy used by Arteta seems so easy for the opposing team to read so that WestHam can break through the home team defense easily even though they don't have complete control of the ball, instead Arsenal have more control of the ball but can't take advantage of the opportunity. In fact, Arteta should have made a strategy that is not easy for the opponent to read opposing team because so far it seems Arteta is still using the same strategy as before.
Of course, this defeated opens up the opportunity for Liverpool to return to the top of the standing table and opens up opportunities for other teams such as Man City and Aston Villa to overtake Arsenal.

Regardless of that now Arsenal is trying to make the teams even stronger and they want to hire some players during the winter. Pedro Neto the player from Wolverhampton and Osimhen from Napoli are both linked to this team, however, this can't be easy for Arsenal because both players are still under contract and both players are effective players for their teams.
Seriously?

Pedro Neto played 121 matches and only scored 12 goals lol, he's nothing.

While Osimhen is quite good, the problem he was only good for one season, this season he's flop.

I think it's better to bring back the rumor Vlahovic will join Arsenal lol, he's also good and not as expensive as Osimhen.

I know that Arsenal could find it difficult to win against Westham because of the recent form of Westham in the Premier League.
The difficulty is because you have seen the score of this match now via the related application. Hopefully I'm wrong about that.
No mate, if you check my early comment about the Arsenal and Westham match, you will see where I said that Arsenal should not underestimate Westham because Westham has achieved two consecutive wins in the premier league without conceding a goal.
West Ham success in achieving consecutive wins due to impressive performances in the last two matches in the EPL, a 3-0 win at home to Wolves and 0-2 at Manchester United headquarters has increased the enthusiasm of West Ham players. Arsenal, who really wanted to win, had to bow down in shame at their headquarters due to the ferocity of West Ham players.
Arsenal did not underestimate West Ham at all, Arteta's troops managed to control the match well. Arsenal's attempts always failed because West Ham's defense was very strong, Arsenal repeatedly threatened West Ham's goal but none of the sweeps managed to score a goal.

I didn't think that Arsenal vs West Ham today match will lose by 2 goals. After West Ham player T. Souček scored the first goal in 13 minutes I was very worried because I bet in support of Arsenal team. Arsenal team players were wrong and  Arsenal team goalkeeper did not perform well today due to which Arsenal team lost the match.
I had so much faith in Arsenal at the beginning of the match, I was very optimistic about their performance Al through the first half of the match regardless of a few inconsistency shown, I was still saying to myself it's just the first half and there's still more time for Arsenal to be able to get back on their feet but they disappointed in the long run.

Even after west ham and their first goal, I still believed Arsenal was more than capable enough to be able to deliver, I expected that since the first half didn't looked so we'll hopefully by the second half Arsenal will have a comeback and will draw if it turns out worse but after the second goal and I observed Arsenal still had a dull performance, I concluded Arsenal was going to loose this match and it was Avery sad they couldn't secure a single goal from this match, this got my heart broken the more, currently Arsenal may likely fall back to struggling again.

There is something I have noticed this season in the premier league. Why are manager complaining too much about var decisions when they lose a match or when the decision is going against their club but will never commend the var when the decision is in their favor. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is always criticizing the var and match officials. When he benefited from it at Anfield. Do Postcogloue complained after losing to Brighton and Everton manager did the same thing after losing to Manchester City. Why is this thing common this season?
These managers that managed top clubs finds complains the moment they're losing but will remain silent when they're winning. VAR can be in your favor today and against you tomorrow. They should learn to cope with the system because we know it's not easy to be on the winning track especially when there are tough opponents to meet. Fo instance, Ange Postecoglou enjoyed when Liverpool was treated unfairly against his team and they won, but complain when his side was case in the exact same state Liverpool was against Chelsea and that is simply a worst event for them.

I can't imagine Arsenal losing this match. I thought I was going to see Arsenal win. Arsenal players tried a lot to score. The entire match was dominated by Arsenal players, but they failed to win. Arsenal players had 74% of the ball possession. They made 30 shots in the whole match. Arsenal played completely attacking. They cannot keep their defense strong. West Ham attacked very little. But Arsenal's players failed to resist West Ham's counterattacks. And this is why they are defeated. Coach Arteta needs to strengthen his defense. Otherwise, it will not be possible for Arsenal to win the title.
Westham deserved it to win the game and yeah arsenal was not lucky enough. I was saying it was not lucky enough caused by arsenal was not playing so badly in that game. It's caused by in fact that if arsenal has made so many chances but the club was not lucky enough like when saka was shooting the ball but it was hitting the bar. It has become one of important moment in the match. This is why i was saying arsenal was not losing against westham in term of gameplay but it was losing against westham in term of luck.
Westham was always lucky enough caused by arsenal has been trying so hard to make it happen but it keeps failed till the end of match. Im feeling really disappointed with the result but since westham desrved it then i say congrats for westham.
You deserved it by playing consistently against arsenal in all of the minutes. Evaluating the club, especially in regard to their finishing, can be achieved by Arsenal utilizing the result against West Ham.
Arsenal has been trying so hard till the end of time.

Arsenal who's consider to be in race with Liverpool for the the EPL title have suddenly dropped from the race,  what do we expected from these clubs now that they lost to Westham United? A recovery back to winning track? The matches are becoming complicated for elite clubs, their opponents are not stopping behind and keen on holding them down and denial of three points. The EPL race is changing into another dimension, we would be expecting new challengers and there's Manchester City who will surpassed Aston Villa and Arsenal who are relenting in their actions to win EPL matches.
Arsenal's defeat against West Ham looks very bad for them but it is interesting for the competition for the title and in a few weeks we have seen at least three teams take turns leading the standings.
The defeat against West Ham is actually normal in my opinion because Manchester City even experienced the same defeat 3 times this season and there are still many who believe Manchester City can compete for the title, so why Arsenal can't? the conditions are the same and Arsenal will quickly recover in the next match, in fact Arsenal has a chance of getting 9 points in the next three matches because on paper their opponents are in a condition below Arsenal, while Liverpool will be quite tough because of their busy schedule because there will be two different trophies where they will play in the FA Cup and 2 league cup semifinal matches, so Klopp must be smart enough in rotating players so as not to lose points in the league matches which will benefit the teams under them.

Arteta won't accept the weakness of Arsenal even if they lose the game with a bad result against a team like West Ham. Arsenal had a good performance during this season and they have a high chance to take the first place of the premier league back from Liverpool in the next weeks. But whenever Arsenal loses a game, Arteta starts blaming VAR or other things, and because of the results they got and he won't accept the lose.

Even if it was a mistake from VAR or the referee still losing this game is not good for a team like Arsenal that's not a good excuse for Arteta and his players.

West Ham United seems to have figured out how to defend against Arsenal. Arteta's lineup, formation, tactics, and especially his substitutions have become quite predictable. Arsenal made a mistake in their formation, and West Ham took advantage of it, mercilessly defeating them. Arsenal's performance was very poor, and they were slow in their build-up to attack. West Ham strategically had many defenders in the middle, making it extremely difficult for Arsenal to score.
Arsenal literally struggled around west ham yesterday, they literally couldn't penetrate the defense line of west ham, even after the first goal in the first half where I was beginning to think it will cause Arsenal to be awakened and want to win but they were still slow and didn't do any better regardless.

Watching Arsenal lately has been strange. They have firepower, right? Saka, Martinelli, Trossard should score. It was like seeing a team forget how to finish against West Ham. It goes beyond attacking. There must be a balance, and Arsenal's defense looks unimportant. They're inviting counterattacks. I know Arteta wants to play offensively, but you have to adapt to the pitch. Arsenal seems locked in a one-track mind. They should experiment and play more cautiously. It might be another West Ham debacle against Fulham if they don't adjust to the game in real time

I do wonder the same. What happened with Arsenal that was playing a super offensive football and was scoring almost every chance they had ? Like you said above , it looked like they forgot to play football not just to attack against West Ham and I'm sure a lot of bettors had Arsenal to finish on 1st position and look how that ended .... . Now , I do hope they will bring a new face for second half of the season or they will lose EPL fight sooner than they expect.

Saka flop in this match, he shots for 9 times and there's no goal he can score, while the other strikers only shots for 3-4 times.

Arsenal can't always depend on him, he was not as good as Salah. Arsenal wasn't perform in this season, they're just lucky enough to reach top standings. But in the long run and consistency, Arsenal doesn't have it.
In that match Arsenal really reached a dead end. They couldn't find a solution to penetrate West Ham's defense until the last minute. Meanwhile, West Ham was able to make a very good counter-attack and scored 2 goals. The effectiveness of the attacks between these two teams is clearly different in this match. And West Ham has the advantage in this match. Their arsenal just kept circling and shooting without good accuracy. I think West Ham succeeded in frustrating Arsenal in that match. But that doesn't mean Arsenal has played very badly. Arsenal just couldn't make progress in this match. Mikel Arteta also seems unable to provide a suitable strategy to beat West Ham in this match.

Talking about consistency, Arsenal is actually much more consistent than other teams. But Arsenal's weakness is that their movements are more predictable. The strategy used by Arsenal tends to be mediocre. This is different from Liverpool, which has a mainstay strategy that is sometimes used in one match. But Arsenal's failure in this match did give a hard blow to everyone who bet on them.

It would delight me if they can go on to win their next three matches, but if they don't,then the tittle would no longer be in their favour.

Arsenal have their philosophy which prioritizes ball possession but they usually don't try to find opportunities from far distance. It has actually been changed with Arteta management and they tried to make more distant shots. With Odegaard, they have a very good midfielder who can score goals beyond the box.

However it is not Arsenal day and West Ham United actually found their perfect day by taking almost all chances they got to find goals and beat a big opponent in the league. It's true that Arsenal must tighten their defense because if they don't do it or fail to build up a stronger defense, they will fail against Manchester City and Liverpool in the title race again.

They are not weak, actually strong but still need some improvement to win a first Premier League after many years.

Arsenal team was unlucky while West Ham team was very lucky West Ham team managed to win this match even after attacking very little. Probably only 6 shots were made by West Ham players. They were able to score two goals. West Ham did not make much of an attacking effort in the first half after scoring their first goal. They wanted to end the first half 1-0. West Ham's defenders played well. I'd say West Ham won because of the great performance of their defenders. Otherwise, West Ham would have conceded several goals in this match.

Arteta should change his match tactics. The defense must be strengthened. Arsenal can't win even with more than 70% ball possession in this match. Arteta must find the cause of the defeat quickly if they are to win the title.

Mikel Arteta made his estimated calculations but they couldn't yield for any better results against a team that was 100% ready for him. Westham coach, David Moyes came prepared and his team flew from Emirate with solid three points, an incredible game played by the Hammers. They're in good position to celebrate Christmas and a new year in grand style. Arsenal wasn't good enough to withstand Westham United at Emirate stadium, despite showing their strength and domination on the pitch, they still couldn't find path to net a goal. Its such a waste of opportunities to watch Gunners falling out of line.

Yes, Arsenal is not yet out of the Premier League title race this season, there are a lot of matches remaining, and Arsenal could make up for those matches to find their way to the top of the Premier League. The Premier League title race is wide open because Liverpool is topping with just two points difference.
The premier league is not a league you can easily write other teams off untill the final days of the league because of its competitive nature and besides we just at halfway through the season so it’s too early to conclude Arsenal who sits just two points behind league leaders are already out of the title race. Manchester City who sits at no.4 are still in the race because if they can maintain a winning streak for as long as six to seven games they will definitely find themselves either on top of the table or few points behind whoever is first position. That’s how competitive the league is but with every team average performance it will be difficult to for a team to maintain such winning streak. Each team will definitely drop points sooner or later so I think there is still a chance for Arsenal to fight for the title.
