A very unexpected defeat from Arsenal and they had to stop to be able to overtake Liverpool. Reds fans must be very happy with Arsenal's defeat and they are grateful that West Ham was able to stop them. It was not easy for David Moyes' men, especially since this was an away match and they also defeated one of the candidates to win the EPL this season. Full appreciation for West Ham and this makes the competition even crazier.

Is this the beginning of another season of drama for Arsenal football club? And the worst of it is that they couldn't even get a goal on their home ground, All the chances they got to score were all misused, Performance was not impressive at all, in terms of finishing with the ball in the eighteen yard box, now gave Liverpool opportunity to return to the top of the table with two points gaps.

What a night full of wonders and surprises. I'm not as surprised to also find Tottenham being flogged by Brighton to lose some more 3 points in the league after they had topped the table at a point this season. They have shown their lack of longevity in holding such position with the frequent consistent failure they have been taking home. Today, after losing the game to their opposition, Tottenham will hardly find it easy to win more competitions right now.

Tottenham has all the 5 previous matches won and lost slightly on one of the 5 but this time around the failure was more deep with Brighton sending greater lose to them through winning with 2 goal difference?


Because of the nature of football and that football comes with uncertainties, I won't want to challenge why Arsenal surprised many with their lack of proactiveness in this match. Could it be that they always find it very difficult to win over West Harm as this will be the second time West Ham will blast Arsenal even in their home. I am really surprised and was like, what's wrong with Arteta for not putting his house into order.

Now Arsenal have dropped down the table allowing Liverpool to take its position again and it will take Arsenal falls down to the second position thereby looking for more points to overtake Liverpool. Could one say that Arsenal was too comfortable to win the match hence, their woeful moments as West Ham gave them a whooping 2 goals VS 0 over Arsenal's incompetence.

Yes, people's expectations were really high toward arsenal because based on their current performance compared to West Ham. I believe a lot of people didn't expect this to happen today because Arsenal really better West Ham, but that is football, and unexpected things happen sometimes. Arsenal really played well but the truth is that they did not really make use of those chances they had. but I wish this would not be the beginning of what happened toward the end of last season when they were messing up with matches and losing points back to back.
 
For Tottenham games against Brighton, I know any of the team can win the match, but I never expected many goals from any of them, so I am also surprised to see Tottenham conceded 4 goals from Brighton. It is something bad to see because based on Tottenham's performance compared to Brighton, they did not deserve that.

I did not also expect these two results to look like this, Arsenal and Tottenham were the favorites to win these two matches but reverse is the case as both Arsenal and Tottenham were defeated respectively. Arsenal is now two points behind Liverpool, does that mean that Arsenal is beginning to lose hope on title race?
I am not expecting them to lose such matches at home if they really wants to win the league.

With the many missed chances in the game, Arsenal coach will strongly begin to consider and know that a striker and pure goal scorer for Arsenal in the transfer opportunity next year is a must. If Arsenal had to win the league this season they would need to improve on their goal scoring abilities and only a pure goal scorer and striker can do that for this club. These kind of losses at these time of the season very important because it makes the team know that they still have a lot to do and they do not need to allow their little success get into the head and ruin their chances of the big success ahead. better to lose now than later.

I am no longer surprised if Chelsea wins or loses a match. Chelsea will end up performing well when they play against strong clubs, but when they play against most weak clubs, their performance is always annoying and embarrassing. A club like Chelsea, which we knew to be a strong and good club, is now resting in 10th position for weeks. I don't just know what's wrong with Chelsea; Pochettino has been unable to find a solution to the current Chelsea problem. Chelsea played against Crystal Palace in their last match, and they won. Starting Nkunku and Mudryk was a nice combination in yesterday's match. Let's see how Nkunku is going to perform in their next match. Luton Town shouldn't be really difficult for Chelsea to win.

Arsenal matches have been played and they lost to West Ham, they have already dropped from their first position, and Liverpool have been able to take over Arsenal's current performance. The season is now getting more interesting, and the league is now getting more difficult. If there is any slight mistake in a club, then another club will be taking over their position.

I'm very happy with the way Arsenal game turned out to be. Just last week, Liverpool thrashed West ham 5-1 in the EFL cup yet Arsenal got blown away at home by the same thing. Arsenal losing valuable 3 points today means that Liverpool would stay on top of the Premier league table for new year's day which is a good thing. We should've been top of the table before Christmas day but I'd take the one for new year.

To think I was close to placing a bet for Arsenal to win when they were 0-1 down. Good thing I didn't go ahead with that move.

The West Ham supporters are really pleased with the team's performance; it was a major game against one of the biggest teams in the Premier League (Arsenal), and the Gunners lost by a score of 2 goals to none. In order to prevent a repeating of last season's events, Gunners must step up. Despite their best efforts, the Gunners were only able to muster 26 shots, 9 of which were on target, compared to West Ham United's 6 shots and 1 on target. What a wasted effort, the Gunners controlled the midfield and forced 10 corners, not to mention failing to draw or win the match despite all of it.

Arsenal side did well, they were not lucky at all in the match because I did not expect is(Arsenal) to lose to West Ham again this season after losing to them in the EFL Cup, but nevertheless, that’s football for you because irrespective of the attempt Arsenal created in the entire match, they couldn’t convert any and West Ham were lucky to have their early goal advantage and they build on it.
Congratulations to West Ham and to Liverpool as well for finishing half of the season ahead of Arsenal and City.

In tonight's match, two North London teams received crushing and embarrassing defeats.
Tottenham had to go home empty-handed without full points from Brighton with a score of 4-2
Meanwhile, Arsenal was humiliated by West Ham United at home with a score of 0-2

And I didn't expect West Ham United to be able to beat Arsenal at home without a goal, and if you look at Arsenal's track record playing at home they always win. And in the match against West Ham United Arsenal were very bad and their performance was not as usual, they had difficulty scoring goals at home.

I also didn't expect the win today and surprisingly how west ham managed to score 2goals with no much attempt, looking at the match today Arsenal made more attempt but still they could not score, I don't like the performance of Arsenal today cause I expected more looking at the starting of the match Arsenal really pressured with what Saka and Odegaard did during the first half including the other players I expected a goal but still west ham with their tight defence didn't allowed the process, I loved the performance from west ham and they delivered excellent.
If Aston villa and Arsenal continue playing like this there's no hope for them winning this season, the problem with Arsenal they feel too relaxed with any opportunity cause they did same last season and they still want to repeat it, honestly I really want Arsenal to win this season but if they continue playing like this how can it be possible. Concerning the Manchester city let's watch out for their next performance and if they manage to win then they might win this season again under probability.

I couldn't believe that Arsenal lost this match in front of their home fans. Arsenal have always show this type of weakness when they should have delivered. They have started showing the kind of weakness that made them lost the league last season. They haven't really realized their mistake. Losing to westham at home doesn't make any sense when you are chasing the league title. Arteta has to get a good stricker in this Arsenal team.

West Ham have a very poor record against Arsenal. Looking at the statistics no one expected this to happen. I think the gunners didn’t have their heads in the game because the players looked clueless only Saka was the only one playing. Declan Rice looked like he would rather be anywhere else but the football pitch. From tonight, it’s obvious Arsenal needs a striker.

Two nil victories over two top sides in the EPL, Moyes is doing a great job.

One lesson that the Arsenal team has to learn from today's match, is that, they should never underrate Westhampton united.
Although I admire their consistent effort right from the UCL were they made England proud with their attempt and current EPL stand, today's match started strong for the Arsenal team. J.Gabriel needs a better support upfront for rebounds and assist.

Also, one thing I noticed about the Arsenal side is that they lack any confidence when it comes to aeriel ball, and that's one why they lack consistent performance in their EPL matches. That's one key point they need to work on.

Arsenal could not hold Westham to a draw less a win for them. Arsenal will remain in second place below Liverpool who are topping the table now. It was a game well played by Arsenal but were just unlucky not to have scored any goal in all the 90 minutes of play. West Ham had their chances and they were able to convert them to goals instantly. West Ham will remain on 6th position and continue their fight for the top four of the table. The table and point difference from number three to six looks so tight and anything can happen at anytime.

The match is over and Arsenal lost today match and I am quite disappointed with this result because I saw that Arsenal was very strong in this match but they couldn't score a goal. It is true that sometimes Premier League matches are very difficult to predict because Arsenal surprisingly have to give up in front of their supporters. West Ham was really good in the last two matches because they were able to beat Manchester United and Arsenal, even the additional points from these two matches made their position even better in the standings table.

Arsenal wasted chances when they needed points but they failed to do so. I think they were not very consistent from last season to this season because they had a good chance to lead the standing but they couldn't achieve it. Maybe they have to improve their front line again to find a more qualified striker than Gabriel jesus.

I was really shocked to see Arsenal's poor performance. I mean technically they dominated in statistics but it is all misleading at the same time. Because they had 30 goal attempts but 0 goal at the end. 

West Ham didn't even have an xG level over 2.00 but still managed to win this tough game by 2-0 at Emirates. I bet nobody expected even West Ham to get a win here. Especially after the draw against Liverpool at Anfield I thought they would continue with a win. Liverpool and Manchester City have become the most advantageous teams at top at the end of this game week.

Arsenal didn’t look like themselves tonight. Arteta would be furious at his players the way they played, they missed couple of clear chances. The gunners failed to end the year at home on a good note. With the way they played, it could have been worse on the scoreboard. West ham kept their lines clean. All credits to David Moyes and his players on how they approached the game, they soaked up all the pressure Arsenal put on them. With this formation, they have beaten some of the best teams in the premier league

Wow what a night of PL football.

I had a feeling Spurs might find it tough at Brighton, totally did not see Arsenal dropping points at home though. Would have been some great odds on that, damn it.

Liverpool still top of the league, happy days.
